More tutorials like this please :)
Check out my new videos :) - I show more "foliage" stuff :)
Nice! Thanks for the tutorial! I'm always interested in getting better at low poly vegetation. :)
Glad to hear :) I need to improve my vegetation skills too :D
stylized hair even :)
true, lol :D
Hope you put a shortcut key, we as a beginner we really need that, btw i like you're videos
I try to put them whenever I can (only in Blender atm)
@@brainchildpl thanks a lot, even the video is fast, we are not tired to replay it again again to know what key is it hahaha
Plz put a voice for the noobs like me x)
why were you scaling and reloading as fbx to substance multiple times? Sorry, I am a beginner with substance designer
I believe I did this because the bake was cut off due to the high poly mesh not being projected correctly, as the low poly mesh was scaled incorrectly.
@@brainchildpl thank you so much for the reply, you really are one of the greatest and best teachers I have ever seen
@@IR-RA Thanks! Enjoy!
very interesting, but... what do you press on second 39? It would be great if you turn on that thing, that shows buttons you press
ctrl + b
@@brainchildpl thanks a lot. It was much easier to make a bush with your tutorial ❤️
@@kk_transformation enjoy ;)
how many triangles?
Something around 650 tris But you can easily reduce it to 300 (I didn't do much optimisation)

Oh yea, this is the good stuff :D
What are you doing around 8:25-ish? Was the low poly not good enough in size?
Yep, I had to change the size because I had some artifacts ;)
@@brainchildpl at the end the final model was multiple of the low poly under each other right?
@@LaszloIvanyi Yeah, but I will have part 2 today, so you will see :)
@@brainchildpl I just bought a year long sub to Substance so I'll try to replicate these. Thanks for the help!
@@LaszloIvanyi Yeah, they have pretty nice SALE right now :) (I used it too :D )
Is it possible to show us how it's done using Blender nodes or is it too much to ask for?
I am not experienced with blender's node system :( ...But I want to make a video showing it... :P So yeah, I might do something simple like a very simple game-ready grass model only in blender (without substance). Not sure when though ;)
how did you curve the leaf? I clicked on proportional editing but its not working :( did you use a shortcut key?
figured it out!
Glad to hear! You can comment how you did it so other people can see (in case someone has the same problem :) )
@@brainchildpl I turned on proportional editing and then clicked on a vertice and moved it using G (along axes X,Y or Z). Is this the way you did it?
@@jenchen3669 Yep! Thanks for spending your time and writing about it!
@@jenchen3669 or just rotate with proportional editing on
