Great video, I'm just considering getting into SEO and this was the first video that I've watched on the subject. Well explained and a good introduction to it.
Great video! I may have appeared with the question too late, but I'll try my luck. When you created the fake dentist website, how did you deal with people that were actually interested in the service? Also, what was the address and contact details if the place did not actually exist? That may be a stupid question, but I am in a process of thinking up my own website, and that part got me a bit confused. My dad has his small service business for which someone has created a website some time ago. Do you think it is reasonable to ask him if I can build a new website on the process of what I would learn? I would not like to ruin a professional work. Keep up the great job! Thank you!
Hey! Here’s the full video breaking down the fake dentist case study: ua-cam.com/video/wmctC01Ehig/v-deo.html And in terms of your dads business im not sure! Depends on whether that website is doing well, but making a website would definitely be the best way to learn. Goodluck!
Hello I'm currently taking up an SEO course from Simplilearn and I admit I only know very little. Only terms so far, no application or practice at all. I have no programming or marketing background. I have an interview tomorrow for an SEO position and even now I know I'm gonna fail it. Srsly how do I impress an employer with nothing to offer but general knowledge? I feel hopeless.
Hey Christina - I feel you. Sometimes that general knowledge is more knowledge than they have on the topic which makes you a valuable asset!! That’s why I recommend building your own website and trying to rank it (or getting a free client as a trial) to have some type of evidence of your work. Even the slightest improvement will show an employer you know what you’re talking about. Also!! Be confident about what you know, and be just be willing to learn all the things you don’t. You got this!!
Hey Christina. How did it go? I'm new to SEO as well and we sound like we're in the same space. I'm looking for someone to connect with to take the journey together if you're interested. Lmk.
You don’t necessarily need to learn to code, but it will definitely help you grow as an SEO. What I would do is learn a little bit of HTML to understand how the basic structure of web pages! Theres a lot of free and a lot of paid tools, i’ll be making a video about both soon but the paid tools definitely have better data which will help you learn faster.
You can, and it might be a bit harder to do. But what I would suggest instead is reaching out to some local business in your area and offering to do it for free. Great learnings and exposure and real client case study
Yeah bought a bunch of different courses, but mostly from UA-cam channels! I have an SEO course if you're looking for one: courses.jaume.io . You can use the code "summer" for 20% off.
Thanks man luv you man, but I had a question, is it it possible ranking a sub domain in the beginning? suppose I'm trying to rank "best dentist in (my city)"
Sir i got two offers one is from Forbes as an SEO intern and other in verzeo startup company as an business development trainee which is better please answer iam so confused about my career
You putting this up for free is actually clutch - praise to you

How did you master the fundamentals? Did you use a specific Udemy course?

What do you mean by ranking a subdomain? Just the subdomain? Is the domain brand new?
will we got a certificate after completing your course ?
Not for now!
Would you recommend website or blog to learn seo
Well i’d recommend a website with a blog so you get the best of both worlds!
The important thing early on is to get exposed to all the parts of SEO - and have a strong base!
