HORRIBLE HISTORIES - The Tudors Song

- GREAT NEWS! Brand new series of Horrible Histories starts on CBBC on 31st May 2010!! ...Another song from the fantastic CBBC sketch show HORRIBLE HISTORIES: The entire Tudor era in one little ditty...
These two actors probably spent more time together in this video than Henry and Elizabeth did in real life.
Peter Parker’s Ashes true!
I mean after Edward was born Henry actually spent a bit of time with his daughters because he had the son he wanted! I know that was a joke I’m just a nerd who just learned that and find it quite interesting
Peter Parker’s Ashes that is the sad part
Your right! Royalty rarely saw their children at all and when they did it was to see them off before giving their hand in marriage to another country. Very sad. I would not want to be royal.
I mean you aren’t wrong...
Elizabeth l: Even though he was my daddy.
Henry Vlll: Just popping out to chop some wives.
LOL

No, Six is the prequel. Except one of those few scenarios where the prequel is better than the original.
Fabulous Hat Lady Bullshit. Horrible Histories was so much better than six.
Valerie De Cadbury, I’m guessing there’s some nostalgia at play, but I am lacking that. So six is better.
Why are people arguing over songs about historical figures

It’s interesting how Elizabeth made fun of her brother even though she had a better relationship with him than her sister
Well siblings do that in real life
Considering I do have a love/hate relationship with my younger sister Who recently turned 18 last month and I’m going to turn 21 this may
Well, I am sure she was not too crazy about being disinherited by him in favor of Lady Jane Grey.
Ed and Liz were Protestant, Mary was Catholic.
Yes, but still no matter what the relationship is, we all argue or fight in a relationship. No relationship is perfect.
Technically, after Edward VI came Queen Jane (The Nine Day Queen). Lady Jane Grey was Queen only for nine days before Mary I claimed her throne. Lady Jane Grey was then executed at age 16 for treason.
I agree! Nine days is still time.
But she was not a Tudor if that matters
Queen Jane wasn't a Tudor which is why she isn't mentioned in a song about the Tudors
Lady Jane Grey's rule is greatly contested. Many people don't consider her as a queen
Such a tragic story. She was only made Queen because Edward delegitimised his sisters and made it law that the monarch must be Protestant.
"Oy it's me you're talking about"

Definetely not catherine tate, buddy.

i came across this lyric just at that part of the vid
It has long amused me that Henry VIII was so intent on having a son that he overlooked Elizabeth, yet her reign not only surpassed his own, it was known as the Elizabethan Age. (BTW, in one of MaryJanice Davidson's novels about Betsy, Queen of the Vampires, Betsy visits Hell. 0:25 is awesome. So is the part when they go at least we're not as Simon Cowell.
You are correct to a certain extent. When Elizabeth died without an heir it would go to her closest Tudor cousin. In her case it went to her cousin, King James VI of Scotland, son of Mary, Queen of Scots, who was the granddaughter of Margaret Tudor, oldest daughter of Henry VII and sister of Henry VIII, who had married King James IV of Scotland. And then there were the Grey sisters, descended from Mary Tudor, younger sister of Henry VIII. Jane Grey had been beheaded but she had two sisters.
As someone with sort of an obsession with the Tudors, this is fantastic! X3
