The best course of action at the moment is to work with an investing adviser. I was able to profit from the market during the downturn, which demonstrated that there is more to it than the ordinary person realises. However, exercise caution and avoid being drawn into the market too fast.

    • @agentjacob4099

Since the current market is not for the faint of heart, I have been thinking about hiring an advisor. However, do these advisors actually alter a portfolio significantly, or am I better off doing it myself?

    • @OscarOwenn

Your explanation is clear and practical. Nevertheless, the market can undergo manipulation in various ways. While I initially grasped trading crypto assets, my technical analysis skills were a limiting factor. Day trading deserves increased attention, given its resilience to the market's unpredictable nature.

The video is an interview with a Mumbai couple, Nans and Visha, about their joint financial journey. They discuss their experiences with investing in real estate, mutual funds, and stocks. They also share their thoughts on the importance of financial transparency in a relationship and the challenges of saving money in a city like Mumbai.
Nans and Visha met in 2012 and got married in 2014. They both come from families with a background in real estate, but they have had different experiences with it. Nans' father invested in real estate, but some of those investments were not successful. Visha's family also owned property, but she had difficulty selling one of their flats.
These experiences led both of them to realize the importance of diversifying their investments. They started investing in mutual funds and stocks together in 2019. They have different investment styles, with Nans being more aggressive and Visha being more conservative. However, they have found a way to balance their approaches and work together towards their financial goals.
The couple emphasizes the importance of financial transparency in a relationship. They believe that it is essential to be open and honest about finances with your partner. They also recommend setting joint financial goals and working together to achieve them.
Nans and Visha are both passionate about financial education. They believe that it is important to teach people about the importance of saving and investing. They also think that the government should do more to educate people about financial matters.
Overall, the video provides a valuable insight into the financial journey of a young Mumbai couple. It highlights the importance of financial planning, diversification, and communication in a relationship.

Thanks Nitish for the wonderful summary. Just few corrections, Dnyanesh and Vishva. (Names)
We met in 2016 and got married in 2021.
I started my journey in 2017 via Mutual fund SIPs and then gradually direct stocks and MFs and other assets like Debt, Gold, REITs etc.
Vishva started her journey in 2019 onwards.
I was aggressive investor and now realised the importance of asset allocation and following that going forward towards achieving the goals.

They're an ideal case study but far too long to be consumed, please edit the personal non-financial parts of it if this series is continued. Would still like to watch it anywhere between 20-30 mins videos of such case studies esp. in Tier 1 cities.

I believe this interview presents a rather one-sided perspective. The discussion primarily focuses on the core aspects of real estate assets, such as the amount invested and the returns achieved, without considering the broader market dynamics. Notably, it seems to overlook the impact of bear markets, especially given that we've been in a bull market post-COVID.
Interviews like this, which do not provide a balanced view, can unduly influence the audience. The stock market affects everyone, and it's crucial to present information that encompasses both the positive and negative aspects to ensure informed decision-making. #SEBI should stop this type of interview.

15-17 crores after 20 years inflation adjusted will never be 5 crores of today. It will be around 3-4 crores, which will give you just a decent income to survive(considering a 6% annual withdrawal rate) nothing more than that.

    • @dnyaneshmugurdekar3161

We have other goals like, child education, plus marriage, charity, legacy wealth and also we want to keep withdrawal between 2-3% not more. Hence higher numbers. Better to be safe than sorry.
