I have that gun. It is the same as the Diana P5 or the Artemis. As far as i Know, Snowpeak are manufacturing these guns for other brands with small variations with regards to local legislations. I found that the adjustment for the trigger pull is a small hex screw placed at the top front of the trigger. Why this information is not included in the operation manual I do not know.. It may be due to local legislation in some countries or regions, wich means that not every version may have this adjustment screw. In my version it was not possible to insert a screw at the back of the trigger. I have watched several of these videos regarding this gun and in most of them I have been able to spot where the adjustment screw is located. Look closely at the top front of the trigger. If there is a small screw there that is the triggert adjustment.
howdy Nibs and thank you for the trigger info! I did the grub screw and the sear screw adjustment from Eric Airguns and both are spot on! so much easier to shoot now. mine is the Diana P-5. I was going to return it before I found your trigger fix info, but now its so accurate and so much fun to shoot that I have my wife shooting it also. thanks again!
I'm glad these happen to be decent. My dad just told me he ordered one from the cutlery corner knife show on TV and when he was describing it I did a bit of a face palm because I assumed it was going to be the same as the old generic $20 industry brand break barrel pistols. My brother bought one of those about 15 years ago and it was a terrible waste of money.
@@WalnutandSteel this one was too, but the power could have been due to the pellets. He bought it at an army surplus store around the corner from our house, and bought the weird Chinese pellets they had with them.
Hey there Nibs. I had a p17 apart and if you remove the pin in front of trigger take out armature and spring then replace pin, you can make your auto safety into manual safety.
This little Smk is not doing too bad into your hands! I enjoyed shooting my Benjamin Trail Pistol until it broke. haha _Single strokes and break barrels are just more fun for some quick cheapo plinking._
On the Snowpeak website they claim that the trigger is adjustable from 3 - 8.5 lbs, so I bet that screw is the adjustment. Maybe limits sear engagement to lighten the pull? Their site also lists 500fps and 350fps as the velocities, so if that's .177 and .22 cal ratings, your gun is meeting that with lead pellets and that's pretty dang good.
It is on front of trigger at the base just above where my finger rests and the other hole is in the same spot that the pic you posted was in but don’t see any threads to put a hex screw in!
I think your right about the front one. Only there to retain the safety. The hole in the rear doesn’t have any threads currently but a 4-40 grub screw will screw in securely

Nibs: Great job. I just got my Diana Pfive (same gun), and I see the hole behind the safety you mentioned, However, mine has a hole w bolt at the top front of my trigger. Is this the same as yours? Could this be a trigger adjustment? How far in did you place your setscrew! cheers
They don’t have one to fit directly but I was able to fit the buck rail 7/16” 1/2x20 adaptor intended for the crosman guns with 7/16” barrels like 760, 2240 etc
Nibs do you have one of those old shanghai china under lever rifles? I saw one recently for 65 bucks and almost bought it. Full size wooden stock with metal sights.
Hi Nibs I received my snowpeak sp500 and have been trying to adjust the trigger hex nut nothing seems to be happening to trigger pull it’s still pulling like an 8 lol any suggestions
How's the .22 cal, have you chronographed it yet ? If you were to buy just one or the other which would you choose ? the .177 or the .22 ? Thanks for making this video 👍
This video says 500 fps .177 cal I think my Gamo P900 IGT is about 400 fps UMAREX RUGER MARK IV won't go thru a tin can I've been plinking on but my Gamo P900 IGT w crossman premier pointed pellets does every time. Out of the box it was dead on 🎯 If this pellet gun is 400 fps not 500 fps I'll just keep my Gamo P900 I was going to buy this because of this video... 500 fps
Thanks for detailed review!
Just picked this up in 22 caliber from Cutlery Corner for $58! Thanks for the recommendation!

I'm impressed. It shot better than most of those expensive rifles. Easy to cock, easy to load, and perfect for those cheap red dots.

Im planning to build a wooden stock for sp500 to make a little carbine. The trigger is in a weird place tho, I'll have to figure out how to make it.
Os tiros da minha tendem a subir, cheguei no limite de regulagem da mira aberta, mesmo assim não melhorou. Será que isso acontece com todas?
Thanks for the tip Nibs. Have the .22 cal version on the way.
Great video. Thank you a lot for the screw info. I thought only diana p-five have that screw and snowpeak sp-500 does not have it.

I have one of those older ones too not great!
@@WalnutandSteel the one my brother bought at the local surplus store would only dent a soda can at 10ft if you could even hit it.
Mine has decent power but the trigger is obnoxiously heavy

Nice
I bought a Diana P-five and the accuracy was poor until I did the trigger screw modification.
It took about 100 pellets for it to stop smoking!
500 FPS is pretty feisty which is I think the same as the HW45 but the 45 is much more compact and a lot pricer too!

Thank you boss 👍👍 could you please what the pellet weight that used on chrony ?
For 177’s I always use 7 gr meisterkugelns. For 22 I use the 14.3 gr crosman hollow points

@@WalnutandSteel That looks like the one.
Excellent!
Pretty accurate with the red dot on it
It was pretty good without it too. But a lot easier for me to use accurately with the red dot
Nice shots!! I ve just buy this gun and would be grateful about more info for the red dot thanx!!!
does the front sight get in the way of the red dot when aiming? I'm new to the hobby, thanks!
not that I can see. some o on other applications but this one seems fine.
The first one seems to be to keep the safety in
Really nice shooter for under $100. Good can cutter at 500fps!! Thanks & hope you feel better. 👍 🙏 🎯
Thanks Bill, its a powerful little beast! I have springer rifles that aren’t even hitting 500!
If you happen to strip it down, I would love to know the mainspring dimension: wire diameter、length、ID、OD、and coils.....
I don’t know why but we have only the .177 here in the netherlands.i have the diana version p-five enjoy 👍😉
I have the 22 version coming soon!
@@WalnutandSteel you lucky one

They are on Amazon for around 60 bucks
Hi! What is the model of red dot?
I believe that one is a gotical brand
Nibs looking to purchase one but can’t find anyone who sells it lol
Nibs quick question. If you don’t mind answering where did you pick up your SP500’s they look interesting.
On ebay. The sellers store is PB tactical

Is the red dot for a 20mm picatinny rail or 11mm rimfire dovetail?
