What wonderful tribute to Paddy Galvin! Go raibh milie, mile maith agat, John. Paddy, rest in peace. Thanks for all those poems, songs and stories, both of you, from a proud "naturalised" Corkman.
This guy is pure genius, Paddy Galvin got inside this troubled woman's head and John Spillane got the intensity of the writing and brought the poem to life! Just look at the intensity on his face as he backs away from the mic at the end, brilliance!!!!
Is he a Genius.? Phil Coulter is a better Genius. The late professor Micheal Ó Súilleabháin' was another Genius. The late Sean Ó Riada was yet another. This fellow is offering something' in a rather mountainy presentation.
Totally totally disagree with a person who said Phil Coulter was a better genius I totally totally disagree it's like comparing Cameron diaz to Nora batty in last of the summers wine
Anyone who couldn't or wouldn't classify or describe John Spillane as a genius is in my opinion obviously totally jealous ans envious of his talent and ability total begrudge
I never ever said that yu weren't entitled to yur opinion did I ie I'm also entitled to my opinion do yu mind me asking is it long since yu got a hearing test I wud strongly recommend it god bless you I must get a pot of tea
he's performing here in Belfast this Friday with Lumiere I Lumiere tá Éilís Kennedy agus Pauline Scanlon; beirt amhránaithe eisceachtúla ón Daingean, Chontae Chiarraí, a bhfuil dhá ghuth soiléire ar leith agus fuaim uathúil amháin acu, Éire is ea í.

Very unique & therefore worth listening to in a musical world of pap & homogeneity & rap. Sorry rap fanciers this IS an actual song.

I prefer it as a poem I think
Hi Brian. Wondering if I can use a few seconds of this clip with no sound for a video
RIP Paddy Galvin.
it was a poem by a cork man.
Síle Joyce?
