Miyavi's always changed his style up and anyone who has been around for more than a year would know Miyavi started learning English years ago to be able to perform songs for his overseas fans and have them be able to sing along while knowing what the song means. People always said they wish they could understand what he was saying and when he puts in the effort all he gets in return is people whining about the songs being in English. If you miss his old stuff so bad go watch those videos and listen to those albums. Stop trying confine him to a little bubble that you created when from the beginning he made it clear that he wanted to try many genres and sounds.

+Sha Rin I have only started to listen to him recently, so what I say might not exactly matter. But the artist I call my bias (not going to name them). ..they def changed their style slowly over the years. And while at first, I would think "ahh..but I miss so and so style of music"..I realized it would suck if they stayed the same. Like if they actually came out with similar style for the whole decade, then listeners would get bored. I think in a sense, saying we miss an old style means that there wasnt a chance for us to get bored. Experimenting and trying new styles is so respectable and while I may not like every phase on of their style change, I can definitely respect and appreciate their passion to try something new and grow as an artist.

ほんとセンスがずば抜けてると思う。
スリリングなソロという意味では影響を受けてるかは分からないがヌーノを彷彿とさせる。雅の場合、自己満の速弾きは一切なしだから余計耳に残るフレーズを意識してると思う。
手グセではなく鼻歌で口ずさめるようなメロディ。だからある意味他のギタリストとは一線を画する。
てか速弾きとかギターキッズが喜ぶようなプレイではなく音楽としてカッコいいものをやるのが彼のスタイルなのかなと思う。
音楽の変化について色々いわれてるけど毎回面白くてクールな曲で、いい意味で期待を裏切られるから非常に気になるアーティスト。

i stopped listening to miyavi a little after his kabuki boys album which was around 2008. kinda grew out of Japanese music but i checked back in on his life with his kids here and there! listening to his new stuff, i am so proud of him, his English is awesome, love his new mature style, loooove that he lives in cali now, loooove that angelina knows him!!!!!! so many memories i have with this man and his music

毎回いい意味で期待を裏切ってくれる真のアーティストですね。
洋楽が好きな自分は昔の雅には全く興味なくて最近のグルーブやリフ全開のロックサウンドが好きかな。
昔の方が好きという意見も多いけど雅は世界を見てるので昔のサウンドじゃ全く通用しない。
事実世界で凄く認められてるし、どうすれば目立つか、生き残れるか常に客観的に自分を見てる非常に賢い人ですね。
センスも鋭いのでやろうと思えばオールジャンルできそうだがあえてPOPでキャッチーなメロを作るあたりもどうすれば売れるか聴かせかたや見せかたをよくわかってる。
たとえばジョンメイヤーとか世界のトップアーティストの共演が見てみたい。
近々実現しそう。

Artists change. They can never stay the same. He's a grown ass man with kids now, I'd be worried if he were still doing the shit he used to do if I must be honest. I fell off from listening to him but I like what I came back to. He is still a wonderful guitar player and artist overall. Much love to him and his family.

I always thought in the 10 years i've been a miyavi fan "just wait, one day he'll make an english song and everyone will know his name...just you suckers wait! you will rue the day you made fun of his awesome hair and fabulous clothing!" and so I waited and waited and loved and loved and supported and supported and now.......here he is, HE IS HERE and everyone knows his name for one reason or another and he is making songs in english too and I just want to say.....I TOLD YOU SO!! I freaking told you so and now they're going to become fans even though they made fun of his hair all those years ago it feels so good to finally be right!! SO SO RIGHT!!
I saw this beautiful philosopher and artist live in 2019 in Atlanta. He is officially the only human to have thrown a half full water bottle in my general direction that got me soaked that I refused to charge. He's just a positive af dude and magical. And I'm autistic and have a thing about being splashed/sprayed with water. But he is literally the only exception.
