To the folks who came here cause of the Ellen interview or because of Unbroken: Here's how good of a guy he is. I camped out for his show back in the day in San Francisco probably 6 years ago. In the middle of the night in a bad neighborhood in the freezing cold, we were woken up by Miyavi giving us warm rice tea. All he said was "Hey, you guys. Don't catch a cold." as he handed them out. He later posted on his twitter about us camping out. He's one of of the most sincere artists I've encountered. Love you, Miyavi. Thank you again for the tea.

Many people are saying they found him from ellen or unbroken. But I found him out way back when he did the movie called oresama which is all in Japanese. Now how many of you actually know that movie?
I know it, but i have not seen it. Still i have known and admire Miyavi for YEARS. Today i thought "i wonder what Miyavi is up to" searched him and saw he had been on Ellen. Almost lost my mind because i am so late to finding out about the movie and about his appearance on Ellen. Dear my friend, Senor, senora senorita and Boom-Ha. All songs that got me into liking him, personally i am happy that more people are looking him up. Nothing wrong with them finding him on Ellen. At least he is getting more fans!

Welp I found him because a anime character named Uta in a manga and anime called Tokyo ghoul is based off him he seems to be doing pretty well no matter how ppl find him
i friggin love Oresama xD i love miyavi! i discovered him back in 2008? or 2009? amd my soul has forever been stolen xD he was what inrtoduced me to jrock and visual kei. now its basically all i listen to

雅の何が好きかって、もちろんギターをスラップで弾くという高度すぎて理解できないテクニックや歌もそうだけど、
何より凄く音楽を、ギターを楽しんでる感じが伝わるのが良い。
本当に楽しそうに弾く。魅せるギターってより、楽しんで弾いた結果自然と魅せられてしまう感じ。
曲調や演奏方法、ビジュアルは大きく変わったけど、そこは全く変わらない。本当好き。
人並みならぬ努力をつみ、才能もあり、何より信念のある音楽。

I have been a Miyavi fan for years. I saw him perform in Los Angeles about 6 years ago and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen in my life. He's the real deal. I don't care where new fans are coming from. I'm glad he's getting the recognition he deserves.

I'm looking over the comments and there are so many people who are a bit hurt that they have to share Miyavi with people who don't 'love' him as much as they do. It's pathetic really. I bet there are many talented musicians they've never heard of, and that's fine because the world is a big place. I've been a Miyavi fan for almost 10 years now, Miyavi is the most talented guitarist i've ever seen, and to truly appreciate him and where he is now, you have to know where he came from. I'm super excited to see him in such a big movie, and i hope the people who get into him now will appreciate his originality. It's been a LONG time since he was in Due Le Quartz, and seeing where he is now makes me so proud to be a fan.

I've known Miyavi for years but I must confess that I never expected him to be such an amazing actor. I was blown away by his performance in Unbroken. While I do love him as a singer/guitar player, I also hope to see him in more movies in the future.
