I was volunteering at an event called rocks, rips, and reefs to which my diving club was a sponsor. I was overlooking the ocean when a group of scuba divers came to the surface and waving for help.
Lifeguards from the La Jolla Cove lifeguard station paddled out to the group on a surfboard and administered CPR until the Jet Ski was able to come and transport the person to the beach. I witnessed the entire event but out of respect for all involved I did not include video of the CPR.

Dr. Jennifer Tareco was my son's orthopedic doctor for many years! I am completely heart broken to hear of her passing. Watching this video breaks my heart deeply! My son was born with spina-bifida, and Dr. Tareco cared for him as if he was her own child. She is amazing and will be deeply missed!
why I don't think diving more than 7 feet is safe. you don't have to dive to see everything. if you get to a clear water, snorkel is allllll you need and you don't need to constantly worry out the tank or ear pressure n stuff.
I think this is our sons orthopedist. She is from NJ, and we just found out today that she passed away in a scuba diving incident there. I got online to find out more info and came across this video.

She was an AMAZING doctor. Such an unfortunate incident, but at least she passed doing something she enjoyed.
Dr Tareco was my daughter’s orthopedist in NJ. We are in shock and heart broken. We saw her just 2.5 weeks ago. Love and prayers to her family and friends.
My son's orthopedic doctor in NJ...so sad...she was a fantastic doctor and such a nice woman.
My friend was one of the divers. It was a 63 year old female diving with her son that day. So sad. I don’t know the eventual outcome, but it didn’t look good. Lmk if anyone knows of she survived.
