Cute saying , what would biscuits be without butter. I ask a older lady with dementia "where's the food going". She said "that horse flat foot loves me".
These two have gifts to give and it is Christmas everyday hearing them. Mandolin Orange is a kick ass, genuine, talented, feel it in your soul, gift from God music.
You guys together are such magic! Amazing really that so much satisfaction can come from two people with simple string instruments but it is the case!! If I could only click the like button more than once!!!
Nice clean homesome music! Finally some people know how to write and sang some good soul moving music with out a bunch of home reckon mess going on, you two have my vote! Keep on!
been playing their music all day... renovating an old house and its just happy good mood music.. love these two... perfect harmony and such good picking..
Giant fried onion rings. I have always loved mandolin. Just noticed the effort the photographer took to block out the runner. Good job. Watched Emily smile and then Andrew nails his solo and gives it a smile. The bands new name is Watch House I think. I get it. One of the bands that has put music in my head for five or more days at a time.
This song makes me think of life. As a kid, things seem beautiful and you hear the breeze in the trees like a song. But as you age, everything gets mixed up in the “noise” of life. In their vision, all the trees are cut down and metal monuments erected where trees once were. You can’t hear the music and flow of nature and the world is falling apart. They dream of a life instead where everything is beautiful and plentiful and you can hear the wind in the trees again.
I love how they filmed a dude running in the background. haha. This is at the NCMA, I've been there many times. So many people go there to take pictures like for proms and weddings and it's very hard to take photos without capturing someone in the background! They did good to just get only one dude running.
Saw them in London in May with my family. The reality was as their youtube image and more. Their second encore unamplified said it all. Wonderful. So pleased to sell my spare ticket to a fan from their same state.
Those birds on the arch behind them are watching the concert. At one point one of them got so excited it went into a spin move as part of its dance. Make that twice he did a triple spin....
My first song of theirs I heard was Missouri Borderlands . live in a boot shop! Loved all their music ever since . And now this great tune . Beautiful music guys ❤️
This song has great lyrics and a great Solo also the song has a rhythm 🎉🎉 that feeds the story i played it with you on my mandolin keep playing and praying 🕎🔯🙏🔯
Well I try to close my eyes Clear my mind Just listen to the wildflowers grow Such whispers on the breeze It don't come easy now Over all this noise Spent my youth among the pine They used to sing a tune so fine And the wind moved like an echo Carryin' their voices And I saw it in a dream Monuments to trees As the air we breathe turned our lungs to dust And the redwoods so tall And all their awe Began to rust With no bend and sway at all That ancient dance is lost And the wind moved like an echo Beside every gust Well some day I hope to find That land of funny wine Where the coffee grows on the white oak trees And those sugar coated mountains In the spring begin to melt into Sweetest streams Where each night the starlight and the sea Together form eternity And the wind moves like an echo As the world drops off to sleep
All I need is mandolin music, good food, and nature’s sounds and scenes to make me happy 🤍
Maybe some good lovin too.
All with only two instruments and two beautiful voices, and a wonderful string of poetry 🤍
This is my favorite song of theirs.. I love all their music very much.. but this one is special
I agree, don't miss this new version! ua-cam.com/video/LyxYwzndu0Y/v-deo.html
Andrew is one of the finest lyricists out there. So much depth. And the music and harmonies...well, that just butters my biscuits!
Right!!!
@@NomadicExpressions24you forgot the jam. . . mandolin orange are a sweet marmalade love them❤
Cute saying , what would biscuits be without butter. I ask a older lady with dementia "where's the food going". She said "that horse flat foot loves me".
Goosebumps ever time 👊
Heck of a tune. What makes it even better is the outdoor sculpture that made me think of an echo when I first saw it in Raleigh!
The scene where you break off into the solo and the doves fly to sit and look down is quite lovely! Beautiful song!
Love the runner zipping through at 1:50, but even the bird chillin' throughout...😂❤
these guys are my latest musical obsession. real quality songs, musicianship and the sweetest harmonies. have to go now and hear some more.
Stop saying guys ♡
Pretty please with a cherry on top ♡
Yeah these guys are really good!!

How could anyone jog past these guys
I would have stopped and listened! Without a doubt!

Are you being real with this comment?
It's a figure of speach.
Get over it... please.
Songs, arrangements and voices all so good and well built. You’ve a long way of success ahead.
They are so good, more and more doves gathered around to listen to them!
Even the birds came to listen!
And the wind moved like an echo with a sigh in every gust!!!
Loved it. It took me back to my childhood. Thank you.
The last few years Ive noticed Emily softening so much from where she was at the time of this video. I like it☮️

Right on. I agree.
I absolutely love this song. What beautiful tunes & melodies Mandolin Orange makes.
I like the combined voices, this and silver dagger are my favourites.
Brilliant - so soothing to listen to, and their sounds keep the attention going and the feelings echoing inside.
2:38 what's this, andrew having fun? SMILING?
Amazing quality of sound for an outdoor performance, not to mention the quality of the music.
touches a lonely heart........thanks guys
been playing their music all day... renovating an old house and its just happy good mood music.. love these two... perfect harmony and such good picking..
Everything about them ' so balanced - may they, their music and any children, be forever so.
My father shared this duo with me. I absolutely love them now
🔥They sing the best lullabies
So very beautiful...soothes my heart and mind tonight.
Love these 2 and what a gorgeous venue…was just there last year. One of my favorite songs by them 💕
Beautiful as always... takes me away. Lovely recording and setting. Digging the birds on the second circle
Fills my soul every damm time! Thank you
This song slaps. So good.
Notice the birds landing on the second ring to enjoy the masterful music...
It's so perfect you would almost think it's photo-shopped. Then there's the idiot that runs by in the red shirt to bring you back to Earth. :)
Beautiful song and sounds

Incredible.❤
Best band I've ever heard.... This is my favorite song of all!!!
Heard them play this song tonight on NPR's Mountain Stage -- very impressive playing and a good song, accompanied by stories of how they got together.
Love these two! Thanks for sharing this beautiful song!
So beautiful guys , we love it. ❤️😍💞🙏🏽
Very very cool tune.

beautiful location‼️ should be somewhere famous spot. I wish to go
Going to see them this weekend. Beech Mountain, NC!
So really good. Not often seen.
Hope you find that "land of honey wine." Sweet song, thanks.
Love your music, fantastic song
...and this one is for you, gramma 💜🏵
awww♡ i love this sweet comment
Love everybody
Chido. Simply just beautiful.
They're just amazing. Can't wait to see them live in April ❤️
Saw them in London in May with my family. The reality was as their youtube image and more. Their second encore unamplified said it all. Wonderful. So pleased to sell my spare ticket to a fan from their same state.
Did that April show ever work out??
Those birds on the arch behind them are watching the concert. At one point one of them got so excited it went into a spin move as part of its dance. Make that twice he did a triple spin....
You guys blow me away! What you have is wonderful. I hope you treasure it!

I love the guy jogging through at 1:49. Classic mandolin segue. :)
Love them!
This song has great lyrics and a great Solo also the song has a rhythm 🎉🎉 that feeds the story i played it with you on my mandolin keep playing and praying 🕎🔯🙏🔯
Different generation, different country, don't even like country music but this is absolutely beautiful
Tim Hawkes I think it's considered some kind of folk but I'm new to this as well so who knows
Definitely more folk than country. It's got more Appalachian and bluegrass elements than Deep South style country music.
Not country , it's bluegrass
Folk is more twangy with more banjo
This is my Favorite song.......of all time, not just M.O.
Tremendous gifts they're blessed with, as are we.
Incredible...
Awesome!
Amazing! I could listed to this over an over. Had to laugh at the guy jogging by in the background. :)
Fabulous. So good
Step 1. Listen
Step 2. repeat step 1
Was just wondering what instrument Andrew was playing... then I thought about it! :)
That's right. It's an orange!
That's right. It's an orange!
Great sounds
I your music . You left a CD at Keith's Place in Florence and liked every song on it. Also the folder with it had a history report of your music life.
Emily's look at 2:23 and Andrew's at 2:38 are perfect. Unabashed fun.
Right? Totally peaking! So beautiful to see and share it.
That was great!
Cool echo setting
Thank YOU" !
♥️🏆⭐️☀️✨ENCORE!
These two are so good. almost Garcia Grisman good... Damn.
first thing I thought of when I heard the mandolin!
That is a tall compliment, Sir....
& one I completely agree with.
Awesome
Well I try to close my eyes
Clear my mind
Just listen to the wildflowers grow
Such whispers on the breeze
It don't come easy now
Over all this noise
Spent my youth among the pine
They used to sing a tune so fine
And the wind moved like an echo
Carryin' their voices
And I saw it in a dream
Monuments to trees
As the air we breathe turned our lungs to dust
And the redwoods so tall
And all their awe
Began to rust
With no bend and sway at all
That ancient dance is lost
And the wind moved like an echo
Beside every gust
Well some day I hope to find
That land of funny wine
Where the coffee grows on the white oak trees
And those sugar coated mountains
In the spring begin to melt into
Sweetest streams
Where each night the starlight and the sea
Together form eternity
And the wind moves like an echo
As the world drops off to sleep
thanks so much
I think last line of verse 4 is "with a sigh in every gust". Line 2 of verse 5 is land of "honey-wine".
YOu have lots of key errors in these lyrics which really detracts from the songwriting!
Super!
So were these two part of Watchhouse before they became Mandolin Orange
Ada gak ya orang Indonesia yg suka ini selain aku?? Wkwk
perfect
The birds watching from behind know great music when they hear it.
Even the pigeons enjoyed
i mean damn
I noticed you have a small audience on top of the middle ring.even the birds like you guy's
See how even the doves dig it
I wonder what the jogger at 1:49 was listening to?
Nothing as good as this….
