personally i love the way the breading and the hot sauce tastes together thats what makes the experience for me - glad they finally have multiple locations
I came upon this video by accident while looking for Fish Chip techniques. I can't sing the praises of Lawrences enough. Being from Chicago I've eaten the shrimp for years. I'm now 67 and thank The Most High for the South Side location cause now i don't have to drive all the way to the Canal Street location. But whenever I have to go North I think of a way to do a phone order to take home. I've said for years there should be a south side location. Since living in the South Suburbs I even thought about purchasing a franchise myself for 22-years, but they don't offer one. I believe in and love their product even though I've given up shrimp I know I can still enjoy Lawrence's secret recipe through their fish chips. I may be better off cause their menu offers so many delicacies I'd probably be broke from going there every day. The menu is full of great tasting delicacies. Hats off to Lawrences. You're a legacy in my lifetime and I wish you many more years of success.
Anderson’s on like 23 Ashland had the best shrimp but it closed down after it burned down Trojhas on 26 Keeler way better more expensive but way better . Gotta get the banana pudding though lol
This place is ok although I agree wirh Kahlil Wilson..... TOOOO Much Breading. Not to mention it is overpriced and it's only really good positive is that it's open 24hrs! However for my fried seafood taste I prefer Trohas Chicken & Shrimp House in 26th ST it is the KING of Catfish and Shrimp. Check it out.
@ If you love what they serve...face it - you've never been to a real seafood restaurant on the west coast, east coast or the gulf. Lawrence fisheries has been trash since I first went in 1990
Been going to Lawrences for about 30 years and have NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED !!!! These guys have got their cooking down to perfection.

this is wierd.. lol
also this place smells like ass
Catfish is bland enough as a fillet, why would I want bone-in catfish?
Trojas is the best on 26th. Lawrence is expensive and you are paying for too much breading.
have u ever been to long john silver
They are not the best.. Goose island is #1 if anyone knows anything about shrimp , Lawrence’s is #2....
I've been to both Lawernce and Goose Island too much breading for me on both but the shrimp is Super fresh also check out Outriggers
Kraft y
@ 1:13 the owner measures the quantity...do you really want to eat there? Why so skimpy
IT'S the best because of the black cooks not because of the white man who owns it's . Recognize the real reason why it's the best
Don't make this about race. They just dropping shit into a deep fryer.
D Barbz lmao I swear always involving race like chill 😂
STFU!! You sound stupid
How can you live with yourself? Stupid social justice warrior
Give Credit where Credit is due: WHO HIRED THE BLACK COOKS?🤔
The host is annoying, the perfect combination of corniness and dry humor...
Frogs, breaded shrimp? Garbage.
