No shaking camera, no special effects, but so tense and real! Forgotten art of true cinematography.
Yes! Is it not OBNOXIOUS the shaky camera crap people use now to hide their lack of cinematographic skills?
@@CommanderZarkonand 100 cuts a second, and music to tell you how you should feel. I do think camera shake has a place but jt doesnt need to be every shot. Less is more and Russian cinema gets that.
shaky cam is great when used right but a lot of movies just don't do a good job with it @@williamshakespeare9815
For those who don't know, the protagonist here is the same tanker in "White Tiger". These are some scenes that were left out in the film.
The Owl is spot-on 2 weeks ago. Thanks for a Moscow made White Tiger
production update. Was happy to learn more of character development..
I knew that opening sequence looked familiar.
also - at 3:40, he tied a Granny knot - that will Not hold!
As a cinematographer and teacher of film production , I often refer to Russian movies in my classes for their cinematographic qualities but also for the realistic interpretation of the actors ,They are just sublime in even the smallest role . I always tell my students to watch the eyes ,the look of the actors they will always determine the veracity of their character .
I recently discovered Russian cinema amd love it for this reason. Everytjing is so subtle amd I love it. It feels so grounded. You dont need 100 cuts and a slow dolly and music to convey emotion when an actor can show you with their expression.
American war movies compared to Russian war movies? The American war movies are almost all idiotic, exceptionalist, glorifications of American war making. A very interesting difference.
@@oliversmith9200 that is very simplistic view, Russian war films are often over the top and often very badly produced. This short film is exeption, there are couple of solid ww2 movies that were produced in Russia but for every decend one there are tons of garbage ones....
Some are so real because Stalin had live ammunition used on the actors.
I saw so many russian movies without English subtitles and they are the best
Finally! Thanks a lot for adding English subtitles.
This can't be a short film, it's too good
It's just a clip from 'The White Tiger'.
@@Biffo1262 makes sence
@@napoleon96420 no, it won’t. These scenes are not from the white tiger
@@Insert-Retarded-Reply-Here This is definitely from the White Tiger
@@MrKatho54 no, it isn’t. It’s the same cast and crew, but these are not scenes taken from the white tiger.
Thank you for the subtitles !!!!! Awesome actors!!!!
Panfilovs 28 Men is a good film and so is Tankers and T-34 I like watching them without translation and then going back to rewatch with subtitles just to see what was actually said through out the movie I wish I understood all languages I enjoy watching foreign movies and short war films of all the different times and different countries especially Russian German Vietnamese Chinese Japanese
I`m growing to really love Russian/Soviet films, Come and See hit me with a sledge hammer, have to watch White Tiger now so thanks for this❤🙏
White Tiger is great!
lol sledgehammer
Theyve got garbage in the last 10 years but old mosfilm and lenfilm productions are excellent. Come and See is just incredible, almost otherwordly.
@@Ukraineaissance2014 Yeah literally, the last 15 years of Russian movies have been terrible.
@@bradsmgads1302 Sledgehammer!!!After all these years....
It's great! I hope more people see this. I'm sure they're going to love it.
The white tiger is a must watch Russian film
First time I heard about that movie.
@@PixelProlo watch it NOW...
It Is an excellent movie.
@@erroneous6947 Thanks. Is this Movie available on DVD? That would be great 👍🏻 👨🎨🎨✨.
its bloody good :)
Sergeant Nadionov returns...
Another brilliant job Mosfilm 🙂
The second part seems to have been shot in the same area with the same actor, but the tank is different, it's not a T34/85, but a T34/76. The funny thing is, he's the driver in both tanks.....
I love the WW2 Russian patriot styled films. Russian films always have an epic cinematic quality to them that are spot on with the grand scale of battles that show a gritty reality of how war is. 😎🇦🇺👌
I HATE them.
Russcists...
It is a magical forest, where you drive in one side of it in a T34/85 and drive out the other side with a T34/76.
Good catch. I assume they changed because of the longer barrel, maybe they couldn’t pass certain turn somewhere and those tanks for movies probably have non rotating turrets.
Great short! That tank driver suvived even the White Tiger :D
That was great!!!! I want to see more.
Now ,please add spanish subtitles ,and thanks, greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷
That was fantastic for a short, the realism.
When will you make "Tass is Authorized to Announce . . ." available with English subtitles?
A resourceful soldier will not only grab the German's rifle but also his supply of ammunition in the pouches
It was unbelievable that the guy walked away from the sleeping german without taking his rifle.
Yeah youd be taking everything, even that helmet, his field dressings, any knives, warm clothes etc.
@@kpd3308 he did take it bruh
@@dannymcinnis1251 I am talking about when he first checked the German, then turned around and went back to his comrade, leaving the German with his rifle right next to him. I thought that was obvious bruh.
@@kpd3308you told him, bruh
Well done......more, please.
Brilliant.
Very good use of extra White Tiger footage!
If someone from Mosfilm reads this, can you upload Bootleggers (Samagonshiki), with English subtitles? I have wanted to see that film for a long time, but can only ever find it in Russian with closed captions in Russian. Thank you.
Man, that movie with out words :)
In Soviet Russia prequels find you.
No wonder he looks familiar, he's in White Tiger, an excellent film.
Prequel?😁
Thanks to the person who clarified that these were cutting room floor excerpts from White Tiger ( which was an excellent movie ) ages since I watched it so didn’t recognise …..
One thing that puzzled me, was the kid killed by a stray bullet, very unlucky, but must have been, because if it was a sniper, then the other guy is gone too surely, and if just a closer soldier, then surely same result ….
Good film loved it.
Nice film but confused by the gentleman sniper that killed his buddy but let him walk through the field.
there was no sound of a shot, so I assume it was meant to be stray bullets.
very good!
This is absolutely incredible
Well done!!
Right. And look how Germany lives 🇩🇪 ❤
War at a personal level.
is it the same actor that was in the amazing film "the white tiger"?
Sure is
Por favor!! Subtitulos en español!! Amamos Rusia! Su cine y esperamos películas para nosotros!!!
No seniora,
Russi hard to translate...
Пожалуйста,desde Argentina
Spectacular!
Excellent filmotragathrapthy.
Knew that tanker looked familiar in the thunbnail. White Tiger was a great frigging movie.
the long version?
Really good movie
I love White Tiger. I saw Dersu Uzala as a child and was hooked on Mosfilm from then. I also love The Ascent and The Star. I still haven't watched Solaris or Come and See. Films to look forward to. Excellent cinematography, and the pathos is almost unbearable at times.
such timing
💜
❤
Good movie
Where's the full movie?
Actually pretty good, although it’s like choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea.
Isn't that the same actor who was the tank driver in "White Tiger" ? And the other tanker was Yuri Gagarin in the first episode of "Fartsa"
I really enjoy the movie White Tiger… well done script and acting… why are we not best friends?
The best channel. Love from Germany
Lol what. You realise there are Germans being killed here right?
Should've asked Commander to get Recon on that arty
Stabbing someone in their sleep is murder and a war crime.
Why don't have full movie..for this film
For the viewers at home never ever use a wire as a tourniquet.
TOURNIQUET. Jesus man
@@ScrotalsbySackington give me a break I was a grunt. 😂
is this white tiger deleted scene??
So much for waiting for night. Was a better plan
Why did the other crewman just drop dead, what caused that head wound? A stray bullet?
Why did the other crewman just drop dead ?
The reality of a direct hit on the tank by heavy ordinance is that the tank turns into a oven, severely burning those inside
Pravilno. Spasibo, cto vy dumajete nad propagandoj...
hey isn't that the white tiger guy?
Yep, he is Naidenov
Can someone explain why when the 2 of them leave the bunker, one seems to be shot , supposedly from a sniper yet the other gets up and stumbles away. why isnt he concerned about being shot and in fact why isnt he also killed moments later?
My thoughts exactly
It was stray bullets that killed the tanker, not sniper. Unlucky shot.
Almost as good as White Tiger.
Half of it WAS white tiger
@@spunkospunko4800even most of the props were used in WT lol
Great war movie - BUT - His use of that tourniquet would have COMPLETLY rendered him unable to walk and w/o medical help - loss of leg in 2 hrs.
Those T34s are Bad A**!
Wait
Why did the German soldier walk into a bunk alone. And drunk?
Why did the sniper just shot one?
So many questions. Had to fast forward a lot.
It’s not a sniper, it was random grazing fire from another skirmish elsewhere. The guy was just unlucky
T34 is an awesome movie too
stukas in the ostfront in 1944?
Yep. They were being wiped out, but they were still around in small numbers.
Seen a lot of Russian cinema. They film in that same clear-cut a lot.
Excellent. 👍
Was that RUSSIAN tank driver not the main actor in WHITE TIGER?
That guy was in the movie White Tiger
we need some more german stuff
TOP film !
I thought this looked an awful lot like White Tiger.
A good WW2 fairy tale.
& if I've gone over something 55 or 65 times (in this decade)& its not one of the best , we'll it'll be awhile ........ ,
What is this film? Did they said on the set for White Tiger, let's film a short scene too? Because the actors are the same and it is filmed in the same spot as White Tiger and even first scenes are from White Tiger. The idea of the movie is nice and not anything fancy like Hollywood making 1 russian soldier kill 100 germans. Very likely scene to have occured in real life. Even the officer forcing the other to kill the soldier. It happened a lot in war, even on the soviet side too
Why would you stand up and walk right where his buddy got shot by a sniper? Come on 🙄
Those Russians were tough
White Tiger
Why did bro just collapse outa nowhere ?
I was noticing this had a 'White Tiger' feel to it - then I read that it uses materials from the film.
The irony of him looking up to hear the woodpecker, going about it's business during the distant barrage.
Isn’t that the same guy who plays in white tiger
Love the hard effort put in this short film,
Question: why did the superior officer didn't shot or knockout while standing up in sniper scene? He's trying to stand so hard and the sniper really want the kill marks
It wasn't a sniper, it was grazing fire from a machinegun being shot blindly across the front. The loader was killed by friendly fire.
@@Derna1804 oh I thought it was a enemy fire, it's friendly lol thx😄
hoping a band of brothers likes series focused on the eastern front
Hoping its made by the same.people, not Hollywood who will just throwoney at it and have a shaky camera and 100 explosions a second
I’m just finishing Gulag Archipelago, by Alexander Solzhenitsyn, and I can’t help but feel that it’s sad that an entire army was, partly, driven to follow orders due to fear of Tribunals, Stalin, Beria, and being shot. Or given a 10-25 year gulag sentence for even saying anything wrong about the war or Stalin. Even in private conversations or correspondence. Like Captain Solzhenitsyn.
I know they fought for Mother Russia, and all, but an army driven by fear. That can’t be right.
If you want to believe in fiction that's on you
@@konstantinkelekhsaev302 - I believe in a lot of fiction, actually, but it’s not fictional that Stalin placed tanks and machine gunners BEHIND his troops, so that no one ran away, rather than die fighting. To quote Stalin, “It takes a brave man to be a coward in my army.”
It’s also not fiction that the gulags were populated by people sent there because of the economic needs and failures of the Soviet regime. The 1937-38 purges are not fiction. Tribunals and executions were not fiction. Dekulakization progroms are not fiction. Ukrainian famine wasn’t a fiction.
You calling it fiction doesn’t account for all the dead people.
So they shot him?
