    Subscribed and looking forward to watching your journey brother!! I'm stuck in the 9-5 grind right now and have recently been thinking of quitting to do this same thing but it terrifies me!! I aspire to have the courage to do what you did some day bro!! Best of luck!!

      Thanks mate, appreciate the sub. 👍🏻😁 If it's something you're thinking about doing then I think you'll regret it if you never take the plunge.
      It's really not as scary as it may seem from the outside.
      Good luck. 🙏🏻❤️❤️

    Three friends of mine had "gap years".
    1. Forty seven years.
    2. Seventeen years.
    3. Twenty years.
    All had said they'd be back in a year or two. 😉😉

    How much did everything cost?

    • @leechafertravels
      @leechafertravels  8 місяців тому +1

      I spent £20k, which I saved up before leaving. I have some reels on my instagram about how much I spent in certain countries. instagram.com/leechafertravels?igsh=czNpMWJiZ29xdGkx

    hi mate, how did you avoid getting lonely when solo travelling?

    • @leechafertravels
      @leechafertravels  8 місяців тому +1

      Hey👋🏻
      I think this is a common misconception about solo travelling. You meet so many people (especially if you stay in hostels) that you are rarely completely on your own for long periods of time.
      I'm an introvert and I am more than happy to be on my own a lot of the time, so I tried to avoid the really social hostels (or party hostels) and I still met a ton of people.
      Hope this helps. 🙏🏻😊

      @@leechafertravels ok second question because i have been doing a bit of solo travelling as well. how do you find the right hostels where you can sleep well? what should you look for? i stayed in a really social hostel but the sleeping arrangements were kinda bad so i got like 3 hours of sleep 🤣

    • @leechafertravels
      @leechafertravels  8 місяців тому +1

      Checking the reviews for the hostel is key. You should be able to work out from them if it's a lively party type place or more quiet and relaxed. If a place has its own bar and promotes different activities and games each night then I would usually avoid it.
      Try not to stay in a place that's super close to the bars and nightclubs as that's where you're likely to have people coming back to the dorm very late at night.
      I also usually tried to find a place that had smaller dorms (4 to 6 beds) and with privacy curtains.

      @@leechafertravels I mean I feel your travels rejuvenated you and caused you to de-age somehow. I think you've found the fountain ;) Dude got younger.

    Travelling is just being in a different place, you won't learn anything and it will make you unhappy eventually. Travelling is probably the most stupid single thing a human can do.

      really depends on what you are gonna do in another country, if you just go to the city shopping for 3 days you wont learn much but if you try to connect with locals for example you'll learn a lot in my opinion
