Thanks very much for your video. Having old Rovers equivalent to having a part time job! They continue to break your heart, but somehow still enjoyable to work on. I did all cooling system aspects with exact problem as yours, 4 yrs ago, just after purchasing 2010 RR Sport (same engine as your LR4) for my folks. Even had rat droppings just like you. Didn't do the rear crossover coolant pipe to heater core at the time, as it wasn't leaking yet. Guess what I am presently replacing, due to gasket disintegration? Folks should consider knocking that out as well, when uou are this deep, or you'll be back (now at 114Kmi). Clicked on your video for reminders on manifold removal. I did get new gaskets for this. Folks should search other good videos for rear crossover coolant pipe replacement prior to this awkward aspect of the job. So appreciative of everybody putting these helpful videos together.

Before you run off to the dealer or start ordering those 4 parts, take off the serpentine belt to inspect and also check your pullies and tensioners. You're replacing the water pump anyway, so you want to be prepared for those other maintenance parts.

I feel like I just watched of video of myself working on my LR4. Exact same issues and my Y-pipe broke exactly like yours. I replaced water pump, crossovers, oil cooler pipe & gaskets (FYI, that's what that o-ring you found in the valley was for), intake gaskets, etc. Make sure you get all genuine LR parts for the cooling system... I found out the hard way. Anyway, I am still leaking coolant in the valley and can't figure out where. I watched your other videos (nice job, btw) and will be doing another pressure test, and if that doesn't reveal the issue, a compression test and combustion gas test will be next... not necessarily in that order. Cheers man.. Look forward to watching your progress.

I had to do my Y pipe as well. Got it all back together and now have a P0660 intake manifold tuning code. I’ve triple checked air connections and can’t find and air leak anywhere. Do you have to recalibrate anything or just plug everything back in?

could anyone point me in the direction of where the “intake manifold tuning valve” is located ? i believe my mechanic conected it with a wrong connector!

I had the same issue. I had just recently bought my LR4. My question before I jump into this project this weekend is… Do I need to order new manifold gaskets?
