Whoa this guy looks like he gives the best hugs
This comment is so underrated...
Looking
the live mixing for this was flawless.
You're welcome
PLEASANT VALLEY absolutely
Low-end feedback when he talks about his album/mate?! Don’t get me wrong, the mixing is really good imo too, but if I were to raise my hand for anything, it would be that. The way Thundercat dealt with it was exceptional though: i had the feeling he was trying to help the engineer single it out. Thoughts?
I found the mixing amazing but the album versions literally hot garbage and I do not understand why
Thundercat is a true bass legend, bruh. Someone give this nigga a GRAMMY...
+Hugo Arruda dos Santos good musicians don't get grammies!!! :)
+AL SAULSO Ooh. that's a true fact...
+Hugo Arruda dos Santos He will when Kendrick's TPAB Wins!
+Hugo Arruda dos Santos Done.
worrrd
If thundercat ever comes anywhere near you , go if you have the cash. You will not regret it.
False he played a terrible set at brooklyn bowl a couple of years back on top of being three hrs late
@@christianbroughton1409 Bullshit...stfu nigga
waiting he come to Jaguariaiva
Me and my sister seen him in Austin tx best concert I've been too in my life
Saw him at UCLA with a hella small crowd and it was fucking amazing
When your bassist has a bassist.
when your bassist is a musician
rad..sounds freakin awesome
XD this is the best
yeah, how bout that - talk about a force
miles de casos donde esto sucede y todos quedamos extasiados, no importa la cantidad de bajistas o si hay o no una guitarra, deberíamos priorizar la música.
RIP, Austin Peralta.
Ok... i just discovered Thundercat.. listened to *ten songs in a row and haven't heard a song i didn't like..* im actually sittin here in shock right now😂 This has *never* happened to me before!..... im a fan, just like that👍😏

@INEEDUTOWAKEUP
...Same here. Just discovered these cats from the Chris Rock special. Still looking for a song a don't like. Sweet sound...
Yeah same here. He's amazing.
I come back at least every 3 months and listen again. This night had magic
Man, I wish I could be as cool as Thundercat.
We don't need another Thundercat, we need a Kyle Novak!
A living Mingus, Miles, Coltrane, etc. You name a legend of jazz & soul, this is a cat that made it to that height. I'm so inspired by Thundercat. I believe!
I don't think a month goes by with me not watching this video
Can't believe that I was actually here, to see Thundercat, Kamasi, and all of these exceptional musicians is still straight out of a dream!
All of ThunderCat just makes sense to me, from the lyrics to the music to just his persona. I'm a big fan ✌🏽️
I am both equally amazed at his playing as I am at the incredible audio/video quality from a video that is now 7 years old.
can't believe how good this guy is
This is my favourite version of this song . . . This video's been on loop on my PC for the past 3 days lol. It's just too dope to be real.
Dream gig: Thundercat and Reggie Watts doing 1hour 20 of improv... shit would get weird...
I would pay all the money for this.
...And a year later your dreams come true.

oh SHIT
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
Paul Love all the monies...
I saw the last concert of Austin peralta a few months back and now I realise Jondy is no one else other than peralta himself! Thundercat is great.
RIP Austin
I bought the first album in Japan DRANK.
It’s made me very happy !
I will buy the next album!
I hope you enjoyed his latest album that he released last month "It Is What It Is"
Bassline for this really reminds me of Portrait of Tracy by Jaco Pastorius.
Great song
+Colonel of Truth Cat claims Jaco as an influence i believe so it makes sense
I've definitely been feeling elements of that too. Woah, what an impressive compliment to give a bass player haha.
I gues its more likely a Victor Wooten track without slap, but great bassists all know each other so he must know about Jaco.
..little bit.
This is very nice to listen too because his bass sound is so well articulated, it just makes it easier to 'grasp'.
I appreciate Thundercat so much for this performances
Jeeeeeez! The harmonics on some of those chords he plays. He's a beast!
Rest in peace Austin!!... but, what amazing friends you left!!
2013??? Why am I just now hearing of Thundercat in July 2016? Fail...
Right
better late then never! dudes a legend!
I've known about him for years

My daddy would have enjoyed this one! I can see it! Keep rockin' Thundercat!!!!!!
This song sends me so many places. Straight tripping in the darkness.
Is that Kamasi on sax? I love when I see two awesome people playing together.
Felt Bad you didn't get your answer in the last 5 years, so here it goes... Yes!

Oh hell yeah it is! I look forward to them collaborating more and more.
God dam that's some funky ass Shit!
This version of the baseline is so fuckin dope n tear jerkin. I like to think this is one of his favorites that he's made
This is incredible.
I am thankful to Thundercat for introducing me to the sound of Austin Peralta so his work may live on.

jondy155 brilliant!

One of the best artists out right now! He has brought my hopes back for Good music to return to the main scene.
I knew I'd love it before it even started.
Thundercat should sing at this pitch more often. He sounds great.
This version of the song makes me endlessly happy.
I’ve not ever really been into live shows, but this is equally as good as the studio version. Both have this special, unique sound that makes both equally enjoyable to listen to.
I need to see this dude live…the rest of the band is great as well.
i'm actually really proud that i've heard this song live (not this performance, then there was no Kamasi Washington doing NOTHING at the back, but still it was perfect). i can't stop listening to this for months. just perfect.
RIP the Jondy.
RIP Mac.
Saw Thundercat in Denver last year, it was SICK!!
What a beautiful bass!! Looks like an MTD 635. Sounds amazing. He is in a musical category all of his own. Good stuff!!
Kamasi Washington almost playing sax!
Andrew Herrmann yo that is him huh?! Thanks for pointing it out.
That guitar is an extra bodypart of thundercat 👌💞💫

i feel the thunder in my cat
Ha. I get it.
Thundercat takes it to a new level. I really want to see him live.
He is just as amazing live. New generation of funk.
As a bass player for many decades, my best advice is that "if your bass groove can't make your audience dance", there ain't no paycheck
Whenever Capital STEEZ or Austin Peralta are mentioned I cry a little on the inside
This song is one of the best song
We love you Thundercat!!!
RIP Austin, sweet track!
best bro ever
so Austin Peralta is the Jondy, rest in peace young one
Damn .. hes like a mix of Ol' Dirty Bastard and Victor Wooten.
Very talented this dude.
Love it!!! He plays that bass like its a guitar . Just a remarkable artist!!!😁
