That’s the same spot I used when I last stayed there. It a lovely campsite. We went paddle boarding as well as hiking.

Brilliant channel Col, I hit 50 last year and have been toying with buying a van and getting away to benefit my mental health and change the script whilst I can. Your videos are easy going and fun and have definitely sold the idea of getting out there. Keep it up chap, brilliant.

Brilliant to see a campsite tour of the present-day site. I lived there in a tent for a month back in 1976 (hottest summer ever) while working at the Wasdale Head Hotel and waiting to get a real job. It's totally unrecognisable, but in a good way. Very near the top of my list for a stay in the near future - but in a van this time, not a tent! Thanks Colin.

My favourite local valley alongside ennerdale so different from the others and not as busy as some of the others , check out the pub at santon bridge if your anywhere near 😊. Love your content Colin and I'm dreaming of owning a VW camper one day 🤞🤞.

We have a Transit Custom Camper but have ordered a Swift Carrera 144 campervan, hopefully delivery in May/June, cant wait. I want her to be able to drive that, hence i forced her to drive a motorhome at the show :-)

Greetings, Have you thought about a rubber doormat on the outside? I have been using one since I started with vans and camping cars in the 90's it's not the complete answer but it certainly helps. Oh, by the way I'm glad you qualified your slipping and sliding! Thanks for the channel.
Hey Edward, I do have a VW mat I usually use but with the weather forecast being so awful I decided that I wasn't going to bring it... It certainly helps though... :)
