    I loved the fact that you pointed out how important is to be ethic consumers. We want to be pretty but our planet deserves to be pretty as well and it shouldn’t pay the price. Something that we can do is check the ingredients and recycling or reuse the bottles, or consume quality formulation in aluminum or glass packaging. Thanks to extend this message and makes your channel valuable.

      I forgot to say we must to demand to our favorite brands a refill or recycle program, even change their packaging and push them on social media as their consumers. One important decision From my perspective is not purchase tubes. These ones cannot be recycle.

      Over the past year since I started making some sustainable switches I notice how much plastic packing is out there & even excess packaging. Have you ever seen the neutrogena hydroboost gel? It has a wall of plastic & you are actually getting less product. It has like a mini well inside or 2 layers of plastic. After buying it once & noticing that I won't buy it again. And so many products come in tubes because it is cheap!

    THANK YOU for talking about conscious consumerism!!! I took AP Environmental Science in high school and I was amazed at how complex ecosystems are and how much specific processes and species rely on things that most people would never guess. Biodiversity is something we are losing in droves every year, and I think this absolutely needs to be an ongoing conversation that involves everyone, because everything you buy has an impact on the Earth and we need to do better! Thank you!

    the cleanser is too strong for my super oily skin. After the rinse my skin is super dry ,I feel like the cleanser sucked all my oil from my skin. I do recommend the hyaluronic acid and the snail mucin essences because they are really good for sensitive skin as mine. I tried so many essences, serums and moisturisers which are supposed to be made for "sensitive skin" but I have always burnt skin with 90% of sensitive products but these two are amazing!!!

    I feel like most guys will love the good morning cleanser since it does smell earthy/herbal. I used it for about 4 months (the one bottle lasted that long) before switching to another cleanser. It seemed to calm my acne down but also irritate my skin at the same time if that makes any sense.
    I gave up on the AHA and BHA as they were both ineffective for my skin. They both smell pretty awful too.
    The snail essence is still a staple in my house and I even have my dry skinned bf hooked on it. It's a bit too much for my oily skin everyday but I use it occasionally. The snail cream was good for a month but it ultimately left me desiring something more.
    Glad to see you review more Korean brands! 😁

    So I'm 19 and I have relatively normal skin, not really dry or oily, only places being such is directly around my mouth and my nose respectivly (though having an oily nose is normal apparently?). I havent really gotten much acne, maybe one or two in a month so I wouldnt think I have acne prone skin. With my skin type, no real problems or anything and generally untouched by products (only thing i use is a charcoal cleaner like once a week), would there be any averse effects of snail mucin? My friend said that it shouldn't really be used by teenagers but I also couldn't really find anything online saying that people my age shouldn't use it.

    Tea tree and allantoin are very drying on the skin. My combination oily extremely sensitive skin felt so tight after using this twice a day. My skin barrier got compromised and I got contact dermatitis😭😭😭 Most reviews states the same that it’s very drying. This would be better for summer, or hot humid climates.

    Good morning. New subscribed here. ❤️ Do you think K- Beauty (CosRX, Hada Labo etc) is as affective for mature skin as brands like Paula’s Choice or Clarins? I am almost 48 years old trying to prevent further sagging and hyper pigmentation (among others). Thank you!!!

    • @RickSkin
      @RickSkin  5 років тому +9

      Thank you for the support! ♥️To answer your question Paula's Choice is actually one of my favorite brands! They have a page called "The Truth about Firming Creams" which I completely agree with. I would actually use that as a guide and look for K-beauty products with those ingredients. As far as K-Beauty being equal to Western brands I would say 100% yes, most of the time even better lol. The Dear, Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner (Unscented) and BENTON Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream both have ingredients that help with both concerns actually! If you need something more targeted for hyperpigmentation, melanin inhibitors like tranexamic acid and arbutin help even out the skin tone. Hope I helped!

    Thanks for this video I learned a lot !
    I have a question for you... I don’t understand which oils are good or bad. You say that citrus oils aren’t good for the skin. What is the difference between the citrus limon peel oil and the macadamia ternifolia seed oil ? I really want to know what’s I’m supposed to look for because I try to avoid any fragrance in my products ! 😌

    • @mekatto8451
      @mekatto8451 4 роки тому

      I have seen that the Klairs freshly juice vitamin e mask is very good for dry skin but the ingredients list contain a lot of oils like : lavandula angustifolia oil (lavender), eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, citrus lemon peel oil etc.
      So I’m wandering if they are good or bad oils 😬

    • @RickSkin
      @RickSkin  4 роки тому +4

      So essential oils are highly concentrated extracts of fragrant flowers or fruits while nut and seed oils don’t have the same fragrant molecules. Nut and seed oils are usually called carrier oils due to their lack of any irritating molecules which makes them a great for use in cosmetics as a delivery system for other actives. Citrus peel oils and lavender are usually the ones to avoid which is why I don’t use any Klairs products at all really.

      It has tea tree in it which my skin doesn't agree with and could be a potential allergen/sensitizer so I personally wouldn't but of course its up to what your skin can specifically tolerate. If you want to play it safe I would find another.

    Save the rainforests: say no to palm oil. Save the snails: say no to snail mucin.
    Snail mucin is produced by inducing high levels of stress.
    There’s more to it than the PR story of the snails having some play time on mesh!
