Also known as Vale Wood Level Crossing.
This is a Bombardier EBI-Gate 200 crossing with miniature warning lights. In both activations, two trains passed in quick succession. The alarm increases speed and a warning voice message is played; "Warning, more than one train may be approaching". It is probably quite common here as several trains pass with a short period between each other.
Thanks For Watching! - Авто та транспорт
That “Warning, another train may be approaching” voice sounded very jolly indeed!
Yeah it does, doesn't it? At least it's a nice and clear message.
The voice sounds like it's from teletubbies
Yeah, not sure why it says 'may' when it only plays when a second train approaching triggers it
TINKY WINKY! DIPSY! LALA! Po.
"Warning,another train may be approaching."
""May be" schmaybe,oh no it isn't. Let's go." SPLAT!

Warning another train may be approaching
Me:Thanks for the notification
I don't know why it says that, it should say another train is approaching
I love how it is a yodalarm tone but has the good features of E2S alarms. I want these on road crossings!
Yeah, it would be good to hear these alarms and their voice messages on some half barrier road crossings I agree 👍
When I stayed in Germany in the 70s,80s and up to 2001 or 2002,the level crossings on major roads crossed by the Rheinuferbahn had tall red-and-white-striped pole barriers with those metal strips/wires hanging down from them. When a train was coming,a red electric light facing the road traffic on each side would come on first and flash. Then,as the barriers descended,a mechanical bell housing would peal out as a little hammer struck its round hat-like top repeatedly. The note at one level crossing would be different from that at another,or even have a different note on one side from the other. The red lights kept flashing until the train had passed and the barriers went up again.
On some of the minor ones, electric barriers had been installed. My grandmother's house was in a village/very small town by the Rhein, and on the opposite side of a main road from the front of her house were open farmers' fields with a network of paths through them and woods that were dark and mysterious inside to us children who couldn't wait to go and play and explore in them,or rollerskate around on the paths. Leading to them from the main road was a smooth-pathed lane, which passed a farmhouse and then crossed the Rheinuferbahn with an automatic level crossing that had short red-and-white polls on green installations. It didn't produce any warning sound at all when a train was coming, but the red lights would come on and flash for a few seconds before the barriers came down. I had to shout a warning to my cousin when she stopped to tie her shoelaces on the track and I spotted the lights had come on.
I grew up in Barns Green. When I did this crossing had no warning system at all.
Yaaay!!! I was hoping you'd get the voice message from one of these on film at some point. Good job.
Thanks! 😁 Yes, I've been wanting to film two trains passing at one of three crossings for a while. Glad I did
I think they should use these alarms on all crossings, they have a voice WARNING but also that loud clear tone of a yodalarm.
I've always Wanted To Hear That Faster Alarm
Yeah, same. So glad I caught it 😁
Warning: Another Train Maybe Approaching!
Very nice catch! Interesting how these Ebigate systems have the same voice message as the Schweizer systems from what I've seen, and yes, being only a short distance from Barns Green, occasions where two trains pass are going to be very common here! Also, interesting to see how the closest unit has been re-decorated since I filmed here in 2019! 👍👍
Thanks! 😁 Yeah, I thought they'd sound different but they're actually quite similar. Bit of luck coming down and filming here hehe
Should have upgraded Barns Green to an MCB-OD with E2S alarms
@@TheosTrainsWalesOfficial An MCB of some sort, yes. E2S alarms, no. Mind you, the AHB form does 'double-stay' a lot, so I've thought over the years it could've done with a pair, but it doesn't really see quite enough pedestrian usage to merit them tbh
Great video! Footpath crossings are my favourite!
Thanks! 😁
I Remember What The 2 Trains Voice Warning Means!☺
Is it just me, or does the voice sound like something out of a Monty Python sketch?
Very nice catch, and TWO trains to boot! In my world, that counts as a bonus!
Thank you 😎
This way to the Holy Grail.
@@rjjcms1 Mustn’t forget the coconuts!
@@dragondancer1814 Yes,clippety-clop. Those horses were expensive.
@@rjjcms1 At least now we don’t have to rely on swallows for coconut transport!
Excellent timing!
Definitely 😄
Great video
Great video!
Thanks! 😁
OMG 2 tranis!!
Nice video!
Thank you! 😁
Relaxing countryside level crossing...until 1:11 when the train comes! Also, the wooden gates on the right as the video starts seem quite rare,or is it just me thinking that? The gates look hard to open,I could push and pull forever until I realise it is locked? If it isn't then that will relax my muscles🤣 The setup with the MWL between the 2 gates seems different. I have been to one of these type crossings with the same system, but that one had locked gates and the MWL was to the right of the 2 gates.Take
NONE of this as an insult, very nice crossing! Oh I forgot the voice warning, helpful message for people who have never seen a user worked level crossing before!
Thanks for your comment 😊 The gates here have wheels on the bottom so they can be easily pushed open and closed. The warning lights are usually to the side, and not in the middle of the road like they are here.
Cool level crossing 😁😁
👍👍
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel 😊😊
Nice
Thanks! 😊
Error in desc when talking about what the message says
Cool
Thanks 🙂
SOUNDS LIKE A FRIENDLY DALEK 😂
I have been to this crossing quite some time ago before they put this voice of "another train coming message". I think this because people have or could be killed here! The big gate has always been there but I don't remember the pedestrian side gate! The lights Red/Green are new too. There was an incident at Barns Green AHBC in the last years! This is probably why too.
Yeah, it sounds like the Another Train Coming mode has been put into somewhat recently. I did hear about the Barns Green incident which was quite shocking. All the equipment at that crossing was changed now which was good.
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel thanks😀
Theres is one near me in Aberdeenshire
What Electrification is this crossing?
Live third rail
That's something I've never come across before.
Great double stay video!
Thank you :)
What is this a yodalarm or an E2S
Bombardier, which is the company that made this crossing system
Shame that these crossings don't double stay much
Yeah, not as frequent as some AHBs unfortunately.
The cars would fool you to think that was the train first
I always find the voice alarm creepy it sounds odd
I don't hear these voice warnings often. They do sound rather different
its the sodar level crossing.
E2S: yodalarm edition
Wish they would put these on road crossings.Warning-the alarm is about to sound and make you jump out of your skin!
Where's thomas
I didn't hear the trains sound their horns, I thought it was mandatory at all level crossings. 🤔
No it's not mandatory at all crossings in the UK.
to my knowledge, it is only mandatory for crossings without a warning system
Stupid squeaking noise, get a loud bell!
It's a shame that there isn't many bells left on crossings now. They're certainly loud and audible.
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel I think they're much better and clearer, it's what they have in most countries. In France there's also a sign that says 'un train peut en cacher un autre' meaning 'one train may hide another'
Another train. that voice is weird
Yeah it is a little. I've never heard it and it wasn't filmed before prior.
