Very nice! I’ve got a black TRD sport 4x4 crew with a 6” rough country kit on 35x12.5x20” trail grappler MT’s on Rockstar KMC’s. Not sure why people hate on the RC kits. Quality is very high and I love the all black everything. I had everything professionally undercoated as well so it looks crazy clean. Rides just like stock and freakin love it. Just need to get my Speedo calibrated.. when I’m at 55, I’m really at 63. Got a school zone ticket when I wasn’t thinking about it! 😂
@@edwardvitalicio1438 rough country and hypertech make a speedometer recalibration programmer that plugs into the back of your gauge cluster. It’s very easy to install. I would have never believed it, if it wasn't for this video. Amazing! You all did a great build. 😂😂😂That little truck ain't so little no more. It's all grown up now!👍😎🍺
I don't get it... spend an extra 10 grand to get the PRO edition... just to spend a few thousands more to replace the 10 grand worth of PRO stuff? could have just gotten the offroad edition, do the same and save yourself 10g?
Yes the TRD Pro is an extra $10g compared to the Sport of Off Road model. The question was asked why not just get an off road Tacoma and do the upgrades? Here's the reasons....1. The cement grey color only comes with the Pro. 2. With the Pro vs the Sport or Off Road, you get every upgraded feature, except for the sun roof. Sure your taking off the original fox shocks that came with the Pro, and replacing them with better upgraded fox shocks, and replacing the 16in TRD rims, but all this can be easily sold on Craig's list. No pakalolo with this guy. Don't smoke it or sell it. Just "Work Hard and Play Harder"
I don't know about the Pro suspension but a lot of OEM suspension take offs sell for A LOT less, most cases 25% its original price. Because no one's gonna pay anywhere close to OEM price, even though the PRO Fox shocks are really good, if you can get better ones for that price. Rims will sell well for sure though. Can't argue with colour if that's a must have, but 10g? so what other worthy features does the PRO offer that's worth shelling out the extra 10g? leather seats are not worth 10g when i can get leather fitted covers for a few hundred. Still doesn't make sense to me
I just got a 2018 Tacoma Limited yesterday going be getting a 14 inch lift costume made. It will be in Sema next year Getting 40x15.50R24 Nitto Mud grapperlers on 4.88 years move bumper in front and rear coustume wrap twin trubo. 4 inch dump exughst straight pipe no cats x pipe. Intake programmer. New CV joints. Might even get a long bed converted on it.
All the negative comments are coming for people who don't live in Hawaii. Every other truck you see on the road in Hawaii is a lifted Tacoma similar to this one. Hawaii has the most Tacomas per capita than any other location in the world.
What was the price for everything that was done? Im looking to do a similar build on my 2018 4runner. Any information is most appreciated. Thank you in advance!
Awesome looking truck dudes, love the TRD Pro in Cement Gray. The problem I see is the front axel geometry. Those CV joints don't look very happy. That's a prescription for failure. Other than that issue, nice job.
Sure you already have this question but I've looked and havent come across an answer yet. With a 6inch did you install any sort of driveshaft spacer for vibes? Did you do a CMC or flatten the pinch weld? Looking at running a 34 in 285/17r17 and thinking 4inch spindle plus a ~2in coil should be plenty to avoid excessive trimming and cutting
Wow clean trd pro man! Why would you waste 10,000 dollars of trd pro upgrades if you were going upgrade suspension anyways? How much due you want for stock pro shocks and struts?
I have a new pro in cement all i did was tires and nerf bars how do i get it to your place and do front and rear bumpers and a few more items I am on the Big island in Wiakola ?Mahalo Bruda
I would happily pay you upgrade my 2020 Pro when I get it. This thing is bad ass. Too bad you're in Maui, know any good guys in the Bay Area, Cali who can do a proper build on one?
I have a Toyota Tacoma 2016 trd off-road4x4 i want too lift it exactly the same as this tacoma how and what are the stuff i can use to get my truck looking like this?
Curious with such a high suspension lift this would have thrown off the angle pitch of the driveline causing vibration wear n tear on the ujoints wearing the needle bearings down quick what did you do to compensate for this? Old school way done correctly would be to cut & turn the rear axle ends & would have to be welded back straight or tires would wear down unevenly.
Marty C yes the BDS kit comes with driveshaft drop bracket and their suspension kits are designed to keep steering and CVs in a factory like angle. The additional lift will be similar to what a 2.5-3” lift will do to those same parts. Needle bearing issues are rare and seam more common because of the forums
We just did the video production so best bet is to contact Maui Off-Road. Their number is in the video description. Just to give you an idea though, the BDS kit alone is $3589 not including the UCAs, powder coating, gears, installation, etc..
Would those 35s rub on my 2018 Tacoma with a 3 inch lift kit? I'm running 285/70/17 at the moment but I'm thinking of going with 20 inch rims on some 35s
How much fab did you have to do to the plastic and can mount? I’m putting the same lift with 35s in a few weeks in my sport. Curious to how much extra work is needed
When lifting a truck do you have to get new tires? i’m new to this truck thing and the truck i want i want it lifted and i would like more information before i purchase the truck it’s a tacoma trd pro 2018 i’m getting and where could i get a good lift kit for a good prices?
Aloha, we're looking to get the similar stance on a 2018 Tacoma Sport. Would we also need new fender flares or no need? Also, whats the cost look like approximately?

Aloha, looking to do a front leveling kit on my 2017 Tacoma 2wd. Any suggestions on what kind d of lift maybe 5100`s. Also rim and tire package with out sticking out. Mahalo
Yes replacing the shocks with Bilstein 5100s or Eibach Pro Shocks are the best for leveling. Lots of info and photos can be found on tacomaworld.com regarding your wheel/tire question as there are so many options nowadays.
Great looking Truck!! Love the job you guys did! What kind of gears do you recommend for running 35in tires? What were the original gears in the TRD Pro?
i understand that some people think this is overkill with the TRD PRO but DAMN THIS TRUCK LOOKS NICEEE!
Toyotas Are Beasts 💪
Say it again!!!! Holla at Ya Boy!
Absolutely beautiful, amazing build and beautiful undercarriage accents!!!! Cant wait to see this truck in person one day!!!
leaf spring spacers, low pro mud tires. powedercoated undercarraige stuff, 4.88with 35s, factory exhaust exit location, . mall crawler status for sure.

Oh God. That looks so badass. Starting to reconsider installing the 4" lift from rough country that I already bought. Deeum!
Wow!!!!! I’m buying one !!! A dream truck to have ....

Did you do R&P gears?
how does your cv axels look stock or a little binded?
Fuck any questions, I want to buy it,, what would be the price sir,,?

Yes they are! Mahalo Isaiah

That's a dream truck.😍😍😍😍😍😍 Beautiful TRDPRO Toyota Tacoma.💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I have a Black 12 off-road edition with the same lift...Beast Mode!

Excellent, just what I am getting ready to do

I like the axle truss welded to the spring hangers. cleaver. wonder if it does much though.
Awesome looking truck!
WOW! This was an awesome build! I'm not a fan of Toyota's but I would definitely drive this!
Thanks Dylan, it definitely commands attention when seen in person
very nice looking trk
I would so do this to my TRD Pro if we had something like this in Washington that could do this
Truck looks awesome!
Can I get the specs and part number for the rear Fox Shocks w/ reservoir? and how much would it cost me with shipping to Kauai?

Growyourmind86 clean because it will never see a dirt road lol
Joseph Mciver that's how they last buddy 😀
Love what you did with the truck. 🤙
Looks sick man how $ to build like this ?
It would be perfect with 17" wheels, 👌🏻
Yes, 20 to damn big for tacoma and that 35s 17 would look so much better too
that toyota pickup in the background though, at 0:38
How much would it cost a job like that in a Tacoma
Great job!!!
Badass.....Big fan of Toyota truck...Well done.
That's one bad ass Truck ,
Agreed
Another good job on the video. Inspiring.
Thanks bro
Amazing looking truck . I’ll be calling you for a kit like this .
I live in Dallas, where is the best place to go to mod my 2017 taco

Can you give me the exact specs as far as what you powder coated- I still think this is the best looking tacoma I’ve seen!
Best bet is to call the shop as we just did the video (808) 678-9500
Wow clean trd pro man! Why would you waste 10,000 dollars of trd pro upgrades if you were going upgrade suspension anyways? How much due you want for stock pro shocks and struts?
Can easily sell all the stock TRD PRO components to recoup some of the money. 35's is the main reason for this build

Very cool setup, what color red did you use for the powder coating?
What is the overall height of the truck with the lift on it ? I park in a garage and have 6'4 height.
Great now i gotta put my taco on a boat to an island to get it right.
Nice Build!
This truck looks realy cool

How much did this run the guy? That had to be some serious cash
How were you able to keep the TRD Pro front skid plate? Was is cut in half?
Nice Truck ! I want to do the same lift on mine, but not sure it will fit in my garage. How tall is the truck ? Thanks !
How much was it for the lift and suspension without the tires and rims??
How do I purchase a traction bar set up like that from you guy and how much? I have a 2020 sr5 tacoma...lmk thanks
Best to call the shop for a quote. Thanks!
that truck is nice!!
Awesome build! I am shopping around for this similar BDS set up with fox coil overs. Just curious, how much for this set up and installation? thanks.

not going to lie i don't even like Toyota that much but that is one sexy bonified truck nice work guys
What are the front measurements from center wheel to bottom of fender?
Damn looking solid. Nice build!
some haters here. please dont hate the fact that hes ballinnnnnn.
Would those 35s rub on my 2018 Tacoma with a 3 inch lift kit? I'm running 285/70/17 at the moment but I'm thinking of going with 20 inch rims on some 35s
Yes be prepared to trim a lot and definitely plan on doing the BMC (Body Mount Chop)
I just purchased a new 2016 toyota tacoma sr 4x4 are you able to do a 4" suspension lift and a 1" body lift with 35x12.50r17
how much more ground clearance, and departure angle clearance does it get compared to stock pro?
How do you fit trd skid plate on after that 6" of lift?
I'm considering 6" lift kit from Pro comp for 2018 Trd offroad
Perfect
How much fab did you have to do to the plastic and can mount? I’m putting the same lift with 35s in a few weeks in my sport. Curious to how much extra work is needed
None on this one because the Fox coilovers were cranked up additionally
When lifting a truck do you have to get new tires? i’m new to this truck thing and the truck i want i want it lifted and i would like more information before i purchase the truck it’s a tacoma trd pro 2018 i’m getting and where could i get a good lift kit for a good prices?
No you don't need new tires but the factory ones will look too small once you lift it. Try 4wheelparts.com for parts
Im doing the same lift going 7.5 in front what did yall go with in rear to make it level?
4" block and 1.5" add-a-leaf to make it level with the front
Whats a good lift to put on my Tacoma Trd Off-road 4x4, so I can put a set of 35” Toyos, without scrubbing ?
A minimum 6" like this BDS or equivalent unless you want to completely chop your fenders out with a 3" suspension and body lift
Ok thank you. Great build truck looks awesome
Beautiful. What size spacer did you put for the carrier bearing drop?
Did it rub when left at 6” in the front when turning all the way?
How much something like this cost?
I have a 2018 tacoma how much wood it costs to billed like this
FREEDOMEDIA what kind of rock sliders/steps are those? Thanks in advance.
Probably won’t see the dirt ever. Mall queen.

What did you do to raise the truck higher than the 6in lift? Like how did you get it to 7 1/2?
Crank the coilovers up to desired height

do i have to cut the rear cross member if its a 2 Wheel drive?
How did you raise the back to be Even with the front since you cranked it up to 7.5"?
Taller block and/or add-a-leaf
