The one with the guy and the woman sitting at a café is pretty inspiring though The guy is like "Enjoy it so far? Here, let me smash this glass into your face."
RSPCA ads are pretty horrible, yes I cannot sit through 'How Much is that Doggy' without feeling an intense anger. 'My little Puppy' also invokes the same amount of anger. But the RSPCA advert I've never forgotten was the one called 'Kitten' I cannot sit through that one without feeling horror. It's not just the description of how the injuries were sustained but it's also the sadness and regret in the voice of the vet who couldn't do anything to save her that really gets me. When I saw that when I was younger it horrified me to the core because I had cats back then and I would have never done anything to hurt them. That drink driving one is really strange. 'Catwalk' only horrifies me because of the horrible screeching sounds once blood starts pouring on the catwalk attendees faces. The blood actually doesn't bother me in this one because it looks more obviously fake and I'm rather squeamish and that's saying something. The worst Lynx one is 'Scavengers' that one is an ordeal to sit through.
It is incredibly dark I must have been around twelve or thirteen years old when I saw that the first time. It shook me to the core and it still effects me to this day even though I'm in my early twenties.
Oh God, "Kitten" was just awful. Not graphic fear-porn like some PIFs can be, just quietly, deeply devastating. From the dispatcher apologizing in advance for the "nasty" call she's sending the RSPCA officers on, to the crying, babbling woman (who now knows she lives with an animal abuser), to the look on the RSPCA officer's face carrying the little bundle out of the house...and the worst thing is, not a bit of it was hyperbole. Animal welfare officers deal with calls like that, and worse, *every day*. People just plain suck.
It traumatized me as a child, all I remembered for years was the kitten lying there and the crying woman. For ages nobody had seemed to remember it existed except me, so when it was uploaded I was kind of glad I hadn't imagined it.
Rather excellent! I'm still working on a few top ten vids of my own, it'll be interesting to see how the tastes of we two connoisseurs compare opinions...
Clip #8 LOL!!!! Ministry of Sound? I dunno if you're aware of not but the sound quality of that clip was horrible. The message got completely lost because the sound volume was ridiculously low - As you can probably tell, I am having so much fun with this!
I hadn't seen #2 before today, but when I read that they didn't simulate the conditions, that they literally just went to a farm and filmed... turned my gut. My family owns chickens, and I've always felt kinda bad for them because we keep them in large pens, with no more than five to a approx 6ft x 6ft x 5ft to 8ft tall pen, plenty of space to move, breathe, scratch, roost in weird places instead of the roosts and nest boxes we put in there for them, etc., just not able to actually roam around the yard. We're not able to let them free-roam because of the hawks, owl, vultures, dogs (we don't own any, they just show up), bobcats, raccoons, opossums, and coyotes (only ever spotted one fox!) that hang around here. It's also because we own a few roosters and... yeah... roosters fuck each other up :/ It's a safety thing, but I've always worried that they were mistreated because we can't let them safely free-roam in the yard. Now I know that our chickens, though not able to free roam, are still far better off than those poor hens are. I've never felt better about eating our chicken's eggs...
actually you got the message wrong! the message for number 9 is "if you know of a crime (mostly gun crimes) and you don't tell crimestoppers you're basically pulling the trigger on the next generation" So basically, by not telling the police that you know/may know who did a violent crime, it's like you're killing someone in your own family, because if the violence keeps going someone you love will get killed by it. If that makes sense :D
The Fire Kills "Night Vision" PIF was also controversial, since it was banned after receiving complaints from parents about their kids having nightmares. Some of those children feared being on their own, or that their house would burn down one day. So that meant the PIF was pulled from TV. What's also interesting is that there's supposedly three short versions of the PIF. One of those is just the segment where the man trips over his bike. But the other two have not been found.
btw the real children dont bounce back one was (I think) also aired in Hungary, though I dont remember if it was this one localised or a heavily cut version.
easportsbig899 sadly I still couldnt find that ad like anywhere on the internet, so im unsure if it was this one but I still can clearly remember the part with the body of the little kid laying down the stairs .
OKAY, gathering the info from THINK! Road Safety's official about and history page, the first ad [10] was aired in 2005 under the name "Distractions," which was one of the first ads made by them to be recorded off a cell phone. Interesting fact there.
Number 9 was made by Crimestoppers. I worked for them as they changed from a finger-wagging 'don't report crime and you're as bad as the criminals' to one of making people feel they had the power to stop it. There was a lot of opposition as it was seen as too soft but it worked better than the hard hitting stuff seen here.
Thelolmonster The number one spot would almost certainly go to the "Don't Suffer It, Change It" Confidential Telephone PIF featuring "Cat's in the Cradle".
I remember that Think! PIF, I found out online that Think! made a collection of those including radio and posters, I always think all the Think! radio PIFS and posters are always good.
Clip #4 could have gone a different way. It turned out to be a drinking and driving commercial but my head was going the domestic violence route which I personally think would have worked far better. Yeah it was scary but the connection can't easily be made and so it's more confusing than anything.
Why did everyone look so weird in the fur one?Pee Wee Herman in the audience,a model that looked like Tim Curry in drag, and all of them looked like they were wearing mime makeup!
whats ironic is that the only thing they edited out later is..the swearing yeah, cause not having the dad swearing at his kid, "just" beating him up, and finally throwing him down the stairs makes the ad less disturbing to watch..
Clip#3" YUP the infamous Robert Newmitz as the Sadistic Peewee Herman! Also I think I would have worded the ending as "It takes 40 dumb animals to make a coat. And 1 heartless BITCH to wear it!"
I still can’t believe number 10 got an award in the Cannes festival in 2006. It wasn’t a big award, I think it was a Bronze Lion, or maybe Silver, but still... It doesn’t deserve that.
I do hate hunting for fun basically because I was a hare in a earlier life and a bear at one point and we all know what hunters do to hares and bears, that is why I refuse to ever touch hare/rabbit meat and vension.
Just wondering, what were all of these rated? I don't live in the UK/Britain, so if some are not rated and some are rated, just let me know. I know UK/British rating systems though, so I can understand if something is 15 or 18. (I actually prefer UK rating systems than US rating systems, because some films that are rated 15 in Britain are immediately rated R in the US. Plus, the UK/Britain is cool!) Just give me the order 10, 9, 8, etc and the certificate/rating.
Wow! Thank you so much!! Love your videos by the way! Keep up the good work! All of your videos are great!! Especially the Top 10s, My Thoughts and PIFS. Those are the best!!
I honestly love the fur pif. And I tbh do agree with that anti fur sentiment by its kinda strange cause this is the kinda shit peta would pull and I HATE peta. I don’t believe in wearing animals or animal testing and caged eggs and all that “I’m good to animals as much as I can bc I can’t be vegetarian rn”
Clip #2: I LOVE I! Creepy as all outdoors. and spoken by the actor so well that your mind pictures actual humans in cages - not chickens. I wish they would show that here in the U.S.
Hmm.. I vagely remember having seen a hungarian version of the NSPCC one back in the days xD unfortunatly I cant remember how was it called though, was indeed quite shocking nonetheless If you are not easily shocked, you should watch the Dont Look ad they also (it is REALLY quite disturbing so dont watch it if you dont like having nightmares): m.ua-cam.com/video/l6KmBRkKF_4/v-deo.html
I and my Mother had an anti-hunting badge, it had a rabbit, a stag and a fox and it said at the bottom ban hunting with dogs now!
The one with the guy and the woman sitting at a café is pretty inspiring though
The guy is like "Enjoy it so far? Here, let me smash this glass into your face."

I've never heard of "Kitten". That sounds like an interesting one.
It is incredibly dark I must have been around twelve or thirteen years old when I saw that the first time. It shook me to the core and it still effects me to this day even though I'm in my early twenties.

"Poor little mite." ;_;
Rather excellent! I'm still working on a few top ten vids of my own, it'll be interesting to see how the tastes of we two connoisseurs compare opinions...
That will be interesting. I probably have weirder choices than most.
Clip #8 LOL!!!! Ministry of Sound? I dunno if you're aware of not but the sound quality of that clip was horrible. The message got completely lost because the sound volume was ridiculously low - As you can probably tell, I am having so much fun with this!

#3 I thought the same exact thing when I saw it. Wasn't that Pee Wee Herman?
boom head shot XD holy shit I shouldn't be laughing hahahaha
actually you got the message wrong!

I sense a trend here.....you seem to dislike "Moment Of Doubt".
btw the real children dont bounce back one was (I think) also aired in Hungary, though I dont remember if it was this one localised or a heavily cut version.
Really? That's interesting. I know they cut the bad language out in the UK when they showed it on TV.
easportsbig899
sadly I still couldnt find that ad like anywhere on the internet, so im unsure if it was this one but I still can clearly remember the part with the body of the little kid laying down the stairs .
No it is definitely real children don't bounce back, I saw it on television one night the uncut version, needless to say it scarred me for life.
they still air that on television?!
holy hell
I think it's better they changed number #3's tagline since I'm guessing some men who wore fur would say 'Well, that's me off the hook then'
And darnit, you had to put one of the most horrifying PIFS out there as #1. I'm sad now, and I specifically skipped it. The memories are enough.
OKAY, gathering the info from THINK! Road Safety's official about and history page, the first ad [10] was aired in 2005 under the name "Distractions," which was one of the first ads made by them to be recorded off a cell phone. Interesting fact there.
Thanks for the controversial clips. The irony to Clip 9 is that if you do tell the cops about a gun crime, then you simply become the next victim.
To EaSportsbig899 I agree with you saying the minstery of sound makes better PIFS than CDs because their CDs suck.
You should do a top 10 anti-terrorism PIFs video.
This. A thousand times this, either that or disaster PIFs
Thelolmonster The number one spot would almost certainly go to the "Don't Suffer It, Change It" Confidential Telephone PIF featuring "Cat's in the Cradle".
I haven't seen either of them, I've have to have a look.
I never saw that either.
That drunk driving one I saw on a programme called band ads band from tv.
Well that's the weirdest episode peewees play house ever
Can't wait for the Top 10 Best PIFs! Perhaps you could do the Top 10 THINK! adverts... Or maybe not. Or you could do the Top 10 Obsolete PIFs.
There'll be a Top 10 THINK! PIFs, but I'll exclude "Moment of Doubt", because we all know it's the worst.
funny seeing pee-wee both in that and the crack ad, he was sure fit to play multiple roles
I hate My Little Puppy because it actually hurts me so much I end up with bruises.
A certain Chancellor of the Exchequer at 14:18.
These are incredible, it's so cool now you're uploading edited videos again. Do you reckon you could do a countdown on foreign PIF's?
I'm not so good on my foreign PIFs, but I'll take a look for sure.
easportsbig899 Does foreign include australian ones? because if so, then you'd have a lot to work with. Especially the Grim Reaper bowling.
Why did everyone look so weird in the fur one?Pee Wee Herman in the audience,a model that looked like Tim Curry in drag, and all of them looked like they were wearing
mime makeup!
EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Number 7 made me cringe so much! I hate seeing stuff like that.
+Mira Thelamppost And for some reason, I laughed at "My Little Puppy".
That My Little Puppy PIF physically hurts me :
Clip #1: It's not scary, it's heartwrenching! U.S. PS.As on child abuse anr nothing compared to this. It actually makes me well up with tears.
whats ironic is that the only thing they edited out later is..the swearing
yeah, cause not having the dad swearing at his kid, "just" beating him up, and finally throwing him down the stairs makes the ad less disturbing to watch..
Clip#3" YUP the infamous Robert Newmitz as the Sadistic Peewee Herman! Also I think I would have worded the ending as "It takes 40 dumb animals to make a coat. And 1 heartless BITCH to wear it!"
Who is that chap in the battery farm PIF?
Eleanor Hogan Parker from Thunderbirds
I still can’t believe number 10 got an award in the Cannes festival in 2006.

9 - 15
8 - U
7 - 15
6 - 18
5 - 15
4 - Banned, so never rated
3 - 18
2 - 18
1 - 18
Wow! Thank you so much!! Love your videos by the way! Keep up the good work! All of your videos are great!! Especially the Top 10s, My Thoughts and PIFS. Those are the best!!
+easportsbig899 number 9 was seriously a fucking 15? I can't imagine this being a 14A in ontario where I'm from....
I still have that child abuse one in my mind!
Love your videos, keep it up
I honestly love the fur pif. And I tbh do agree with that anti fur sentiment by its kinda strange cause this is the kinda shit peta would pull and I HATE peta. How about a Top 10 Best PIFs?
Number 9 is disgusting , depending on pure shock to drive home a shitty point .
My fav is the puppy one. I saw it before.
Didn't think do pif in which twist was the kid was a ghost??
I deal with these topics every day, so they're not that big of a deal to me.
9 was scary asf
@7:40 don’t inject drugs full stop
I had to skip number five
I'm starting to think you don't like THINK!
0:30 Not scary, just plain annoying.
Drink Alcohol While Driving With Wife Same A Domestic Abuse
Hmm.. I vagely remember having seen a hungarian version of the NSPCC one back in the days xD unfortunatly I cant remember how was it called though, was indeed quite shocking nonetheless
If you are not easily shocked, you should watch the Dont Look ad they also (it is REALLY quite disturbing so dont watch it if you dont like having nightmares):
m.ua-cam.com/video/l6KmBRkKF_4/v-deo.html
Oh I have seen don't look and that is pretty scary.
