It's all about the Blue! 😁😍So happy to see your pretty blue fabric, and I think you've got a fabulous idea! It's always so nice to know that I'm not the only one 'sitting' on certain fabrics. Now you'll be able to admire your Louis Vuitton on yourself! I think what made my fabric so special is how I love looking at the color.... I could never settle on a pattern. The monetary output was not huge for a wool coating (1/2020) but the striking Blue color! The lining felt special, too, because of the feel of it ? I think. It was the first really nice fabric I had gotten online - we're talking in the 20-teens! - and was supposed to be a shirt or top. Now I'll get to wear both!
That's awesome! I love the idea behind this challenge and using those fabrics for what they were made to do. A good blue can be so eye catching. I'm excited to get this one on my body!!
I have made a stunning similar colour jumpsuit/Boilersuit with self covered buttons and big tie belt. The Durban Dungarees pattern. So pleased with it!
Genius idea! Great combo to mashup & what a beautiful colour to that fabric! Can’t wait to see the result. I have a pink tweed type fabric I found in my mum’s stash a couple of years ago. She doesn’t remember where/why she got it, but I love it’s something she chose, just about enough for a Grenadine skirt 🤞
I love the fabric and jumpsuit idea. I love 70s fashion, and I believe it is brilliant. It would also make a stunning but comfy Christmas jumpsuit! ❤❤❤
I bet your mash up will be great! Your fabric is such a beautiful color, of course we can’t feel the texture or luxurious -ness but know it will be wonderful. ( I guess feel-o-vision is waaaay behind smell-o-vision. 😉😝).
your jumpsuit is going to be amazing! I have entered this one, used a Max Mara viscose in Cobalt blue with an amazing coral reef print on, such amazing quality fabric, there was even a complimentary print on the reverse. I made a pimpante blouse and feel really fancy in it.
Can't wait tovsee your jumpsuit, love that fabric. I'm in the challenge, just posted today, I made a coda quilt coat in a girgeous tropical animal print in fall colors . Good luck 😊
Using the Adrienne blouse as the top of a jumpsuit is a great idea, and I can't wait to see it! 🙋♀️ Also interested in attending your imaginary 70s event
Can't wait to see your nod to the 70s. I ❤ the fabric, it looks like a perfect pairing. I made my precious fabric top at the very start of September and hadn't heard about Whitney's challenge yet when I posted it. I am already committed to finishing my Kodiak jacket and some Lander pants which will likely take up the rest of the month. I can enjoy everyone else's makes this time.
I am (Kelly) entering. I have just cut out the Holland Park dress in a Liberty tana lawn. It's my first on only (so far) Liberty fabric. Never made the pattern before and I haven't got time to toile it so my fingers are crossed that it turns out well 😱😂🤞🙏
Sounds like you re describing the Friday pattern co Advenir jumpsuit. I just made it this weekend. Very comfortable and an easy make. Guess a lot of the patterns from different companies are very similar.
This will be awesome 😍 Made lots of Salli's and lots of adriennes.......are you keeping the looser sallie lower bodice? My stalled sewjo has paused my plans but sewing is occurring once more 😊

I agree! The stories about the fabric are the best part! And to peek into everyone's stash. That blue is incredible!
Thanks, Whitney. It's been an unexpected bonus to this challenge!
I’ve never used a “jumpsuit pattern” but instead mashed bottoms and tops I love. Go for it. I love your idea.
It's such a great way to do it!
Oh that mash up will make a beautiful jumpsuit in that fabric! 💙
Thank you! Here's hoping! 🤞
Yup, seventies, like mine I described, it’s perfect with wedges and big silver jewellery! Wish I could show it to you!
Are you on Instagram? Or you could email a pic to theresa.lostmythread@gmail.com?

That's so lovely and definitely very precious. I hope it works out and you can think of her whenever you wear it!
Jumpsuit kick - at the moment? Teresa. You are the jumpsuit queen!
I feel like I've been on a jumpsuit hiatus. It's been too long!
I love the fabric and jumpsuit idea. I love 70s fashion, and I believe it is brilliant.
It would also make a stunning but comfy Christmas jumpsuit! ❤❤❤
Ooh, so good for Christmas!

Thank you for the mention Teresa. Looking forward to seeing your jumpsuit!
Thank you so much! Looking forward to catching up on your video and the others on the tour!
Wow! The colour of that fabric is gorgeous. Your idea for the jumpsuit sounds perfect, can't wait to see the finished garment 😁
Thank you! I'm hoping to get it made up in time for the deadline! 😬
Yeah! How wonderful is your vibe?! Please let's go with the 70' ❤❤❤
Haha, so fun, right?
How fun that your fabric was featured in such an early video.
It felt appropriate!
What a great idea! Can't wait to see the finished one.
Thank you! 💃🕺
Sounds like you re describing the Friday pattern co Advenir jumpsuit. I just made it this weekend. Very comfortable and an easy make. Guess a lot of the patterns from different companies are very similar.
Similar for sure. The difference is that the avenir has elastic all around the neckline and is a looser fitting bodice. Sounds like a good one!
Lovely video. Can't wait to see your make. It will be fantastic. My make is ready. I am doing a reveal in my video (due tomorrow )
Thank you, Agata! I probably should have been revealing today but didn't quite get it together for that!!
This is an excellent plan! I can hardly wait to see it done! Date night jumpsuit?
100%!!
This will be awesome 😍 Made lots of Salli's and lots of adriennes.......are you keeping the looser sallie lower bodice? My stalled sewjo has paused my plans but sewing is occurring once more 😊
Yes, looser lower bodice. Fun mashup, right? Our sewjo ebbs and flows. It's good to have a break sometimes!
@@LostMyThread ooo yes ,i have some jersey saying it would like to play !!
Yes was ok with break Did some embroidery helping a group and did Kaleidisope making from recycling/scrap with another small group
@@debsmadethis I love kaleidoscope making! Fun to tap into other creative acts now and then.
