Amazing! Love that all three in the cockpit are hand’s on involved during the demonstration.

Got to meet CPT Higgins in 2015 at Beaufort. Real inspiration for my older daughter.

Well, glad to see they recorded it. I sat in the V.I.P. section of the show. I had a really good view of the thing taking off from there. I even recorded it on my phone. I'm just sad they didn't use the thrusters. Still was amazing!

I was in the Air Force during the Viet Nam war and for some time after that. I was a mechanic on C-130s during that time and had some very exciting experiences on board. I was on the flight deck monitoring the instruments for an assault take-off flying out of Aviano, Italy after some maintenance, and that big aircraft will get airborne very quickly! Fun Ride! That would have been around 1975-76.

Like making and elephant fly like a fighter jet in the air.
    Love the cockpit view

Nice classic short field take off! And I had no idea a C130 could do steep turns at 60 degrees!

The way he was flying that giant was like he was just taking a Sunday drive down a country road. I would have liked to see was the guy in the right seat was doing with his hands waving around. I was waiting for him to roll it like the 747 test pilot did some years ago.

Captain Katie Higgins was the right seat. Later moved to the left seat for the 2015-2016 season. Shes badass

That must be better than a coaster. I recon they get about 3 - 4 seconds of 'air time', at the first level out, after the take off.

Captain Katie Higgins is just a bad ass. She should be the face of every women's empowerment campaign instead of the garbage they usually roll out. What a great role model for young women.

Are these guys still navy and/or marine pilots? Apart from this plane, how many more C130s do the Navy operate?

Must have been a newbie in the right seat? That was fun to watch the inside view. The engineer helps with gages and throttles, right seat screams and calls out turn points and directions...lol.
I would volunteer for a ride along.
I flew many times in the C130 while in the Marines back in the 80's. I remember landing in Iwakuni Japan with the aircraft having full hydraulic failure on touch down. Have to love those cargo seats...
    Semper Fidelis,
    Take care,
    Be safe.

The only way that you could have thought that there was a newbie in the right seat is if you believed that the “oh my gosh, oh my gosh “ after takeoff and the screeching that happened during the final dive to the runway, came from the pilot in the right seat. Sorry, she didn’t get to be a Blue Angels crew member by screaming “oh my gosh“ during every takeoff roll. There are guests on board.

There's another video online that shows her actually piloting the plane. She's qualified.

Just wanted to confirm if I may the guy in the middle that does all the yelling and everything..LOL, when he yells, does the crowd hear him over the speakers on the ground and that is the reason he does it????? Actually just saw one of those strongman videos, and it actually showed a certain where they actually pulled via rope, on e of these full sized C-130's, dont have a clue how they were able to do it for as far as they were able to pull it.....LOL It really seems strange that out of all the maneuvers that they do with Fat Albert, that hula girls really never moves all that much...LOL
