I’ve worked in the military aircraft defense industry most of my life and pretty much seen it all and, nowadays hard to impress me BUT, this is emphatically without question one hell of an aircraft! WOW !!! Way to go Lockheed.

In the 60,s, I worked on C130's as a Nav Aids repairman in the Air force. Great airplane then, even better now. As an acquaintance and friend of Dale's, from hot air ballooning in Albuquerque, it was a surprise and a pleasure to see him on a utube video. Our best to you and "Cat". Mike T and Dale J
I probably have said something about this Video already but i Really Love this Plane and I have Lived it in the Forces up to the C130J Variant and it is such a Forgiving Aeroplane and as Hard as Nails, Putting her down on Remote strips with Relief for Many in need of such is just one thing I love doing in the C130 and People say when they see this Bird coming and their awaiting much needed support, They know it's bringing that Relief in no matter what Form Needed. One of the Lockheed Unsung Heroes of Aviation..
There’s a reason why the C-130J owns the market, and it ain’t flashy unfounded promises. The aircraft just flat-out performs. Anytime, anywhere, any condition
Roger that... whether air-land or airdrop (I've jumped from C-130s dozens of times), I believe it has no equal among prop-driven lift aircraft of its size. It has been consistently reliable in combat operations rain or shine over the jungle, desert, and everything in between. After almost seventy years in the inventory it just gets better. My heart felt thanks to those pilots and crew who have accomplished seemingly "impossible" missions in support of combat operations. Thank you.
After working Avionics on C-130J for 10 years and my last update of the software was version 5.4 it should be interesting to see what the differences are with version 8.4 or 8.5 or whatever it is up to.
I see a bunch of new little, but important features in the HUD, good job. I saw some other cool features I'm not going to talk about :) Retirement is nice but I miss working on the J
Crewed the last C-130A 56-551 assigned to the 374th Tactical Airlift Wing out of Naha on April 28th, 1971, all the way to Nashville TN. "Airsick and Scared, we flew the A Model"
Sir, you are a good teacher. I didn't think I had an airplane capable brain except that I love and respect them. That was neat info. I am in awe when I see these! Thank you to all who fly, teach & do maintenance on these!
Last mile in, first mile out. Surprised that made it through the filming take and editing. Still a great video. We know what you mean which is all that matters.
During air show, I boarded a static C-130, I never forget how huge the flight deck is, it is so roomy .. you can get up and walk around to stretch your legs.
I had a similar experience. On the other hand I was in 3rd grade, so everything looked roomy. That was in 1958. That’s one hell of a lifespan for an aircraft.
Very old (But Updated) Joke: When the last C17, F15, F16, F/A18, F22, B1, B2, & B21 Lands at the Bone Yard. A B-52(?) will be Flying Over And, the Crew of that B-52 will watch each Aircraft's Crew Step abroad a C-130(?) to go Home.
This isoneof the best Military transport plane and a Militaty Gunship plane, it was operated since Vietnam war. I sawthia plane ever since I was Boy in 1965.
Has a civilian that doesn't know anything about flying. Is it bad that I understand what is being explained to me here as far as what this aircraft can do its capabilities and what it takes to do it. Much much easier than the current political environment and voting system that we have😢. Nice aircraft. ❤
And that’s the C-130 J. It’ll be available from next week in Space Gray, Midnight, and the new Olive Drab. Just kidding. Always had a soft spot for Herks.

Flight Engineer Holdaway is my dad 🥰 He's been working on these planes his entire career. I've heard countless stories of him flying the C-130 ❤
nice!

Excellent presentation from a man who truly loves his aircraft. Proud to call him my friend.
From Crew Chief to Flight Engineer to Pilot on the B, E, and H model. Greatest memories of my life. Fantastic plane.
Outstanding summary of why the C-130J owns the Tactical Airlift Dynasty!

LM, you can never stop building these.
My dad worked at the Marietta Lockheed plant and built many of these. He was impressed by the cold weather missions the C130 would take on.

The C-130 is the such a fantastic platform. So versatile and fast for a turboprop while being much for efficient than jets.
Great advances since Vietnam and just so much more advanced. Lockheed Martin deserves all the applauds.

The RAF should never have gotten rid of their C130J Hercules .
A truly capable aircraft in all guises. The Super J has adapted remarkably since the 'E" models I enjoyed flying - sometime last century!
I know this is the LM "brochure" but it is pretty cool and such an incredible, capable aircraft.

Hopefully it's not a drastic change like it is going from windows 10 to 11 where you can't find anything and you waste time figuring things out
