Thank you for this video. I've been looking for ways, to start my loc journey and have found it. It will save $$, I've been doing my hair for almost 30 yrs now and READY RO START MY JOURNEY
Thank you for this🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 I’m starting my loc journey this week, I have a spot that’s growing back and it’s still a bit shorter than the rest of my hair . I’m going to share this video with my daughter since she’s doing my locs for me.
You're very welcome. Make sure she doesn't add more weave than the size of your own hair that will be in each loc.... if she does as your hair grows out the loc could be too heavy and start pulling out your hair
I just posted a follow up. If there's specific questions you would like for me to answer post them in the comments of the new video. Thank you for viewing. :)
Omgg..Thanks for the video. I wish I saw this b4 I spent all this money on loc extensions. I prefer this two strand twist extensions vs loc extensions. The loc extensions are too stiff
Aw thank you and I had considered heavily about getting fully mature loc extensions instead of doing twists. I'm sure yours look great though. Are you able to shampoo and condition your locs? That might help them to be less stiff
This is the best sister loc video I have seen by far for adding hair and interlocking. This will help very much. Thank you!! ps: what was the name of the extension hair, please?
Omg! Thank you for sharing! I want to do this to transition in to micro locs. I have short hair and this will be a perfect method. What type of hair did you use and were did you get it. You did a great job! I love it!
Thank you for commenting. It takes awhile but so rewarding. I got my hair from Amazon. FASHION IDOL Afro Kinkys Bulk... www.amazon.com/dp/B078PGZHC1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Hi yes. Sorry I've been so late with posting an update I was planning my wedding myself so it has taken a big chunk of my time. I hope to have a new video posted by end of day Sunday
Thank you. With these locs i did myself no I didn't have slippage. I made another video where i went and got loc extensions put in by a company and ive had slippage out of this world with the way they put them in
Are these your permanent locs extensions or these are just a regular hairstyle? If they are permanent did you interloc the extension hair to your regular hair.
Thank you for the tutorial! The hair you used, does it feel good? Its not stiff or anything. I initially brought the vivica fox brand and immediately stopped. Need a new recommendation. TIA
Yes the Vivica fox is quite coarse. The hair I used was a lot softer and easier to manage. It can still be a bit stringy but overall easier on the hair and hands. I have a link in the description to the hair I used.
What happens when you do your retie? Is the root thinner than the lock? Does it interlock well? Is it aging well? I had mine done by someone and she did them this way and almost all of them slipped so I’m slowly re-doing them but it would save time if I could just retie the ones that didn’t instead of taking it down and doing them over.
Reties are easy however as your hair grows out your hair will likely be thinner than the piece of the loc where weave was added. I'll be uploading another video middle of February to show my hair after 1year of loc extensions. I also have one more video posted since this one.
I'm working on it. UA-cam has been giving me issues with my upload files. I've recorded my next video 5x and each upload is giving load errors or I load it and UA-cam deletes it.
I just posted a follow up. If there's specific questions you would like for me to answer post them in the comments of the new video. Thank you for viewing. :)
Thank you for the offer my hair is permanently installed so I'm unable to add additional weave to it away this time. If you have dry shampoo or oil products I would be happy to demo/try those for you.
Yes, as permanent as you'd like them to be. What i mean is they aren't installed with the idea of removing them. However locs can be combed out is just VERY time consuming
Thanks lots of help most girls have to put on makeup and all of that and talk extremely too much to get the point across I appreciate you being very informal and not doing that👏👌

It is attached like normal box braids and then braid down a few inches and then start two strand twisting. However, if you have short or soft hair I recommend braiding the hair at least 4 inches longer than where your real hair ends in the weave.
Thank you soo much for this tutorial!! You saving lives/pockets out here!!
Im glad to hear that and glad to help
Facts!!
Literally, because I live in Portugal and since no one does it here i need to learn it so I can do it by myself

Olive oil and tea tree oil will def help with dandruff and itching💯
Thank you. I've been using diluted raw tea tree oil. I will add olive oil to it.
@@cbellamarie1358 yes maam also you dont need much depending on the bottle u use 10-20 drops I'd say 10 drops for like 4oz of olive oil!

What hair and where did she purchase the hair from . Ty’s🙏🏾
What kind of hair did you use? And would i be able to just let these lock since its human hair?
Thank you 💞💞💞💞💞
You are most welcome
Do you plan to do an update video on how the twists are maturing? Also what length of hair did you purchase?
Yes im having trouble uploading an update here to UA-cam. I ordered 20inches
This is the best sister loc video I have seen by far for adding hair and interlocking. This will help very much. Thank you!! ps: what was the name of the extension hair, please?
Glad it was helpful! I have a link in the description for the hair that I purchased to do these locs. The hair is soft and not coarse like most hair.

Thank you for commenting. I shall be posting an update very soon
Did she tell us what type of hair she used?
Chelly, I think I’m going to do my hair like this. Do you have an update on how your hair looks?
Hi yes. Sorry I've been so late with posting an update I was planning my wedding myself so it has taken a big chunk of my time. I hope to have a new video posted by end of day Sunday
May I ask how many packs of hair did you buy versus how many packs you actually used?
3.75 packs. Could've done it with 3 but did some to large until i found my rhythm
Looks good. Did you have a problem with slippage? I want to try but that’s what I’m nervous about…
Thank you. With these locs i did myself no I didn't have slippage. I made another video where i went and got loc extensions put in by a company and ive had slippage out of this world with the way they put them in
Thank you this is very helpful. How is it going and when you have growth what do you do?
Interlock the roots 😊
Nice job sis, what’s the name of that hair please ❤️
Thank you. I bought it from here www.amazon.com/dp/B078PGZHC1/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_RK7VE53W42TQHYN6ZJA8
Thank you

They are permanent and yes I use the interlocking method
@@cbellamarie1358could you do a bigger part and add less hair to balance it so it won’t be thin at base and thicker at ends
Thank you
Can we get a update?😊
I shall be posting one within the next few days

My fingers get tired just doing a high bun smh. I could never do this on my own but I want them
It is truly time consuming no matter if you do them yourself or if you get them done by someone else.
Can they be removed I don't want this if they are permanent.
You can comb them out but it will be very difficult. These are intended to be permanent.
How are these holding up ?
I love my loc extensions I'll be posting an updated video in the coming very soon.
How many bundles did you use?
4.5 the link is in the description to the hair
Hey what kind of hair did you use
I have the link to the hair I used in the description
Is it a two strand twist?
It's braided down first a couple inches and then 2 strand twisted

Ooowee that too much. Can't I just braid it in like box braids and just let them sit??
Yes you could that is considered braidlocs which are beautiful but do take a longer time to mature into formal locs
can’t see how you braiding it in cuz you went to low in front of the camera
It is attached like normal box braids and then braid down a few inches and then start two strand twisting. However, if you have short or soft hair I recommend braiding the hair at least 4 inches longer than where your real hair ends in the weave.
