I am sooooooo thankful for this video you do not even understand. I was cleaning my reel and I accidently fliped the gear and all the washers fell out. I thought I tried everypattern possible but my drag was still extremely weak until this video fixed it. Thank you sooo much.
salam bos, kalo reel spinning yg dah ada one way bearing anti reverse + switch on/off, buleh tak kalo nak matikan terus switch tu? mcm mana ye tutorial dia kalau nak matikan switch tu? kacau sbb kdg² ikan terlepas sbb eksiden terkena switch tu. haha... nak beli reel yg xde switch tu rege x mampu milik...
Bergantung kepada jenis mesin dan design anti reverse system dan komponen yang digunakan. Juga efektif jika tuan banyakkan latihan fight dan daratkan ikan supaya lebih dalam kawalan dan efisien mengendalikan peralatan.

Very nice tips, bro. My black max is 3 year old and today my black max casting reel drag starter some noice to pull 500g snakehead fish drag seems lost its pulling strength. So can u suggest me what is the problem with my reel and how I can solve it. Plz do respond I'm waiting for ur respond bro.
Hi there, all of Abu Max series don't make much drag power. In my experience certainly nowhere close to the specs given. One of the main reason is due to smaller drag washer sizes as well as the other drag stack components. The original drag washers will either be slippery or sticky. If it makes around 4 kg drag, it is actually sticking. If it's slipping, getting 2 kg drag on the reel is about best. What I typically do is replace the drag washers to Carbontex material. With that it'll steadily make good and smooth drag with a max around 2.5 to 3.5 kg. Goes without saying that I put such great emphasis on a smooth drag while the power comes second. Having around 2.0 kg or 4.5 LB drag is good enough for 15LB line class. Hope that helps
@@reelyology brother where are you, this is an awesome ideas and best suggestions you gave me. Plz plz make a video tips what you said. So people like me would refar you and it will help many people who are struggling with this drag power. So drag on a reel mainly depend on drag washer, right,? Well bro anubhavankit12@gmail.com is my E-mail id, if u can contact me there also would be great help. Brother u were saying that Abu Garcia is making smaller washer, thanks how did u know, I was planning to buy pro max because of its low profile and handy, so can I go for Daiwa Fuego CT 100 low profile casting reel. Plz suggest me Brother Abu Garcia says 18 to 25lb drag whereas Daiwa 9 to 12lb drag power. I catch mostly snakehead and uplo2on my UA-cam channel. So, how much drag power could be best and long life reel.
@@reelyology bro one more thing what is the Carbotex material, if u can make small clip and send it to my email could be great help. I'm living in India so where we do not have more tackle shops or its service center to get reel parts.
@@AnubhavAnkitGeorge the drag output is largely dependent on the design of the drag stack which means the size and number of the drag washers as well as the rigidity of ALL the drag plates. The ratio of the reels plays a role as well. The same drag stack design will produce less drag output for a same model of higher ratio 7 or 8 and up. It's not easy to explain everything to know about the drag system and this is the area I study most about reels, in a number of years. However I can tell you I do not rely on the drag specs given from the manufacturer, every drag output I quote has been measured and tested by myself. What I said earlier is specific to ALL Abu Garcia 'Max Series' from generation 1 to generation 3, the drag design hasn't change, they don't make much even with Carbontex. As a rule of thumb, with a 'general' size class of baitcaster (referring to the size and intended use of baitcaster of a specific size), I would be happy if the reel would make around 4 to 5 kg max drag. That's already enough to cover up to 30 LB line class. I don't intend to belittle or downgrade when I say the lower entry reels tend to have different design and material from the higher end ones. Generally the come with inferior drag system as well compared to the higher ups. I would recommend something decent in the mid range such as Shimano Curado or Citica. That's the cheapest major brand reel which have the same design concept as the higher end ones. You really get what you pay for.

If you're referring to the Belleville Washers, removing them is not a good idea. Even installing them incorrectly isn't a good idea. True enough, some older systems may have only one Belleville. Some odd system have 3. The most common is in pairs 2s or 4s. 1) They provide dampening in the drag adjustment which is desirable, so the drag power doesn't jump a lot with little turn of the knob. 2) They also act as spacing washers for the external drag stack. If you remove them, you need make up the thickness that is loss. If you lose enough of this drag stack height, the drag may not be able to tighten up sufficiently. 3) They need to make good contact with the components adjacent to them. How they're oriented greatly affects the contact. If placed incorrectly you get poor contact, hence poor force transfer from the knob to the drag washers. I think those are enough reasons to kill any inclinations to remove them. What do you think?
Masalah drag boleh jadi macam2 punca dari drag washer haus kepada salah pasang komponen. Tak dinafikan certain model mmg bermasalah dari segi design... Cara terbaik adalah serahkan kepada yang ahli untuk test n diagnose
Many videos. I've searched for in the we and only this one has explained the drag washers... Thank you so much.

You only need to understand the components and their functions. Once you do you can always put together any drag system correctly
cikgu, kagum saya dan belajar system drag punya kerja.... terima kasih cikgu
