I’m in Texas. Just learned about chopped cheeses this week. Gonna make me some at home but definitely gonna keep an eye out for Bodega Truck when I’m back visiting NY!
I've had his food a couple times. Very tasty and hearty. Not looking forward to the long line that's he's going to have after this video haha. Good for him though.
I use the usual Burger fixings on a Kaiser roll. Adobo seasoning for the hamburger and some basic Fry sauce (everyone has their version). It's great to see someone making it a specialty, major respect.
I'm 15 minutes out of NYC in NJ and chopped cheese sandwiches are popping up over here now even. Especially in places like Newark. The OG is the way to go if you're still trying it out for the first time.

It's amazing that I live on the east coast of Massachusetts, about 2 hours or so away, and no one here knows of the chopped cheese. One day I'll take the drive just for that.
Im from south jersey, where obviously we have philly influence and cheese steaks and not chopped cheese. Chopped cheese is WAY different, and just as good. LOVED chopped cheese sandwiches I use to get in NY in college.
We don't have this in central NY state, but we really need it. I could definitely go for a bacon tomato chop cheese right now. This great food would really take off in Syracuse. Food trucks are finally getting really popular around here, a chop cheese truck would do really well.
When he put the "secret spice" on the meat, which is just McCormick "All Spice" from the grocery store, my eyes rolled so far back into my head that I got a concussion.
Honestly I love watching I really wish me n my dad and family could all eat together were avid huntermen but more of a fishing man and this would be beautiful I love to catch cook and eat also agree with catch & release👌🙌🏼❤💚💙
I tried making it at home the way like he does and OMG! How can something be this inexpensive, this easy to make and this good? It's criminal that I've only recently discovered this sandwich!
