As part of our Spring Speaker series, PASS interviews influential/inspiring individuals within the art world. Each video follows a recorded Zoom conversation, modeling the format of increasingly popular instagram live chats.
This is one of the few artists interviews out there without pretension. Most artists have the same safe talking points they always use - boring and predictable. When she talks and answers the questions it's interesting and spontaneous. I'm my opinion people are confusing her honesty and no BS talking style with arrogance. I've bumped into her a couple of times in last couple of years - always very honest and has a vision for her work. By the way, she can have whatever level of ego she wants to - she's worked hard and is now a very successful artist, that is hard enough to do.
She's a great artist and this was a dope interview.
She is one of my inspirations for years.
This was as compelling as watching a David Mamet play. She’s like her own greatest work of art. And kudos to you Gunnar for being the perfect interviewer, inspiring her to speak her truth. A total trip!
