I think the red connector is the diagnostic port for scan readers. There is a chap from Japan, RRR Bambino who has an NT and has a couple of videos on it. They a bit technical but worth a watch.

Thank you for the comment and sharing this information, which I have added to the video description as I'm sure this will be interesting for others who like myself are getting to know their motorbike. Always a pleasure to hear from you and other like minded viewers, and you never stop learning. Cheers

Hi, I am working on a problem. The short version is that my ignition key is stuck in my pannier lock so I need to get under the seat to access brackets. There is a hole under the bike I can get a screwdriver in. But I'm working blind. I really need to see how the lock mechanism works, where it pivots etc... can you perhaps describe its movement when you operate it with the key?

Will post short video later today showing the seat locking mechanism along with pannier locking system as well, but will be later in the day, and hope it will help. Cheers

Thank you for your valued comment. Honda don't give much away but for sure the quality and reliability is very good. But I'm a honda man always had Hondas and love the style. I've never had the need to adjust the screen yet I just leave it up and its perfect. Cheers.

Thank you for your comment. I have never owned a BMW but would like to have one with shaft Drive. Something Honda need to work on is a reasonably priced bike with shaft drive. Would love the NT1100 to have shaft drive, would be my perfect bike. Cheers
