Cool video. But do the fish a favor. Don't let them touch the dry sand if they're not keepers. Dry sand sticks to their slime and can very easily kill the fish in the next day or so. I've seen it happen enough to know. Wet sand doesn't stick to them the same so just keep them in the wet zone and they'll be healthier.

@comfortably numb curious are you talking about the red snapper or grouper ? We do the same with our specs always make sure to wet your hand or the surface your gonna have the fish on for the moment your taking out the hook or measuring.

Do you drag the minnow while the sinker is hooked or did you put the minnow inside the compartment? What is your honest review of this rc after a yr?
I drag it, if you buy one you need to waterproof the bottom of the hull, poor design makes it take on water. Every place there’s a screw needs to be sealed. If not it’ll leak, rust, battery connections an eventually fail.

This is great. In the uk we would probably cast that rig "clipped up" on a rig clip. With a bait shield on the lead that could hit 150 yds maybe. This is really interesting though. I can already think of several places where it is tough to fish because the fish are a long way out.
I do have a second part to the video, a boat came and started fishing on top of my lines out there. So there’s always the risk of competing with boaters fishing the same spot.
Are you talking carp? Then we would also have to be pretty accurate casting. But Ive used a boat in big lakes too. Since I moved to Texas a couple years back I live so close to the Gulf that all my fishings done in saltwater and I love it. And the added advantage it all tastes great!
@@ChewingToons Carp anglers long cast too but I was mostly on about sea angling. Long casts with quite large baits has been a thing for decades. The main problem is exploding baits when it lands at that range. That is what brought bait elastic and bait shields into our game. Bait boats are big with carp anglers here. They actually have a hopper to carry loose feed (chum?) for baiting a patch at range.

Darn good show Tony! I am sure digging that RC boat! I am working on adding a piece of angle to my rail to ease measuring fish and adding a bump @ zero for quicker measurements. I will take a pic when complete to share.

You get 6-8 drops per battery with the fish finder on, 8-12 with the fish finder off
That was cool. I haven't caught 1 from land I guess but I have caught them on jetty rocks near the surf in lights at night. None big enough to take but the excitement was unreal. Great Catch!!!!!

It self rights in any waves. I would say over 3 feet is pushing it.
