Damn… for whatever reason I’ve never seen an edit for alien. The first one is one of my favorite movies of all time though. I think you did a damn fine job. I love seeing classic characters like this getting some respect. Great shot choice too no one does establishing shots quite like Ridley Scot.
Alien is a damn near perfect film. I’m definitely more in the ‘Alien’ camp instead of the ‘Aliens’ camp. I just think it has tremendous direction.

Alien (1979) directed by Ridley Scott and The Thing (1982) directed by John Carpenter both of them are the scariest sci-fi horror movies i have ever watched as a kid and i consider both of them the greatest sci-fi horror movies ever created and it's because of the Chestburster scene in Alien (1979) and the Chesteater scene in The Thing (1982) and Aliens (1986) directed by James Cameron is my favorite sci-fi action and horror movie ever created and directed by James Cameron and Alien (1979) and The Thing (1982) and Aliens (1986) only those three are on the top of my list as the greatest sci-fi movies ever created as well:).

Personally I prefer Alien.
Also check out Alien3 (the assembly cut). It’s actually really good, despite what people used to say. Popular opinion on it seems to be changing though 😎
@@MrGreaves Hell yeah! I liked Alien. Aliens was alright but I prefer Alien. I will give Alien 3 assembly cut a go someday. I heard awful things about it especially with what happens to Newt. But I heard it's underrated too. So
Aliens was definitely alright, but Alien is a masterpiece in my eyes - and I don’t use the term lightly.
Nah you should definitely head into Alien3 ASAP. It’s the conclusion of the trilogy after all x)
The assembly cut is amazing. Though it does do Newt dirty, I don’t really mind at all because I never thought Newt was that good or important a character anyway. She developed Ripley’s character, sure, but not much else imo.
