1:59:23 what was the disclaimer??? Someone tell me!
Something along the lines of "I'm doing a character"
@@joseph7105 bo burnham swore hes like this constantly
All the way watcher
@lukemarks9193 because you don't ruin somebody else's bit.
But he is obviously doing a character and that's what he said
so incorrect
This was very fun, thank you very much for having me on! : )
The legend himself
Love you Dax

Good job, man... good luck with the stand-up!
and i yelled "pee fight!" and i peed on him
We need you two doing a pizza party podcast now! Don’t leave the fans hanging 🤣
Finally, a guest that out-tism's Rick.
This is even funnier if you think of this as a playdate while their moms drink wine in the other room
Hahahahahaha
Thanks for the insight king, I’m about to start the Ep now
Hahaha solid gold
Dax is secretly telling his mom he doesn’t want to hang out with Rick anymore but to just tell him he’s busy when he calls.
@daveismoseley absolutely, and the moment it happened was when Dax said "is that your favorite drink?" and Rick just said "no"😂
Dax saying he wants us to enjoy the next 2 minutes genuinely made the next 2 minutes so much better
This has "hanging out with my mom friend's kid while they chat" energy.
Dax insisting that this was his podcast so he could cut to 2 minute clips whenever he wanted was hysterical
It’s like the podcast was just starting for 2 hours
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
edging
😂😂😂
I love how comfortable Dax is taking over the podcast and doing production bits. Some of the funniest moments. This is my first comment.
Your arms must be tired.
@@icaptureditforyouHAHAHAHAHAHAH you sob 😂
No it isn’t. You commented at least 4 other times. Most recently under episode #284. At least twice in that video. You’re a liar. And you lied for no reason at all, which potentially makes you the worst kind of liar-a pathological one.
Nuh uh@@DLA.
"if she was doing an impression of me, it would sound like this" was incredible lol
When dax insisted that you played the lisa clip I laughed more than the entire the rest of the episode
Dude Rick leaning into the silence in the beginning has me laughing so hard right now.
YES😅
Dax saved the day on his podcast with that 2 minute clips of you rapping with a guest. This is my fourth comment
7. Autism vs Autism: The Final Frontier.
69 likes nice
I was bout to comment something similar but I figured it would already b here 😂😂
This is legitimately one of my favorite pieces of media ever created. So funny and wholesome. Very thought provoking for my partner and I as we grapple with being neurodivergent as adults. Thank you, Rick and Dax!!
Totally agreed!
30:00 five favorite moments so far
1. Dax learns about Cedric
2. Dax learns about arms being tired
3. Pizza pod
4. Cold open
5. Rick trying to steal his water
These comments were supposed to be separate, it’s ok though, 1 comment is always better than 0

no you were supposed to do it in five separate comments
This is incredible. Ive never seen Dax so comfortable and also treated with such respect. Thanks you.
it was fun up until the calling his ex and setting up a date right infront of him "bit". that was a very odd switchup, rick seemed like a huge douche after that.
(this is my first comment)
@SoftyChicken idk I think that was just a bit. Dax seemed to be laughing through it. I doubt it was even his ex.
She sounds like Whitney Cummings…
Or Chelsea Peretti
@@njlwag Yeah I was thinking and hoping that it was not really his ex. And the fact that she brought up a "physical issue" at all would be extremely rude if that is really his ex
55:39 “I’m going to go Full Jokermode” absolutely killed me 😂😂😂
Was that Chelsea Peretti? That was my favorite part. "I was stuck on the name thing..." Spat milk out my nose. Great episode Rick and Dax!
has to be! 😂
Married to Jordan Peele?
That definitely is. I know ginas voice anywhere
definitely sounded like it
was looking to see if anyone heard that ass well, definitely Chelsea
Ive been watching Dax on UA-cam since i was a freshman in high-school in 2007. Cut to 2025 im 32 and still on UA-cam everyday, watching Rick videos daily, and today they are in one video together. This was a really bad day until now. I refuse to listen to the audio only for this one so i will have to wait to get off work to watch it. Thanx Rick, for all you do - including bringing Dax into your world. Luv from Texas.
His Bad Friends appearances are awesome. He’s so interesting.
Woah. I match every detail you just described except change Texas to Ohio. To me, Dax is and always has been my favorite person on the internet and it's not even close. Have really enjoyed discovering Rick as well so yeah, this was an automatic jolt of joy to see pop up.
@@nateo7045I am also on the spectrum, and also moved from Ohio to Texas, six years ago.
same here!!!
1. i like that Rick is in this episode
2. i like that Rick has an guest on this episode,
3. i like that Rick included a clip of him saying a recent joke at one of his shows.
4. I like that Rick elaborated more on why he says “boy are my arms tired” so much;
5. Despite them not actually having any pizza, i like the idea of people eating pizza on this podcast (i like pizza).
4. You were supposed to leave 5 separate comments
Well this is gunna be awkward 😂
Awkward overload!😂😂 loved it!!
I was going to type up a long winded thing about where I’m at in my stand up journey and how this conversation really helped me, but I’ll only mention this… a thanks to you Rick. For your genuine authentic true self and your receptiveness to others. You are in inspiration not only in the sense of comedy, but in the sense of embracing who one is as an individual. One day I hope to take my shoes off, sit with Alvin on my lap, and have a talk with you. Love you and your genius.
-Autumn.
Two of the most unique energies in comedy
Add bobby Lee and Theo
The whole spectrum thing being a scale makes a whole lot of sense now
One of my impressions of Dax's comedy is that he has good instincts for timely callbacks. The arms tired joke around 40 minutes in made me laugh.
Yes! And his “pizza’s here!” was perfect. Rick nailed it that getting in his head vs being present and himself is the next thing to conquer
It’s crazy I’ve been following Dax for 17 years. I used to watch his awkward story times when I was like 14 years old and I would find him so quirky, nerdy and funny. Then I stopped UA-cam and he was in the movies now I’m fully enveloped in the podcast world and he’s here now too. Thx dax for always popping up in my world
Dax using the arms tired joke from time to time was SUPERB! :D
19:10 “I started standup this year”
“How are your arms?”
*chuckle* *pause*
Hahahahah the fact that Dax didn’t say “tired” and the way Rick looked on expecting it was so glorious
The awkwardness between these 2 is comedy gold.😂
The "his arms must be tired" was hilarious! Great timing by Dax
4
God I love it when Dax randomly pops up in something new on youtube. Such a wholesome dude. Great Ep!
I think my favorite thing about Dax, that never fails to make me laugh, is his kind and sincere accreditation in saying "That's funny" after a beat of appreciation for someone else's joke 😂
Just got finished writing 5 observations every 10 mins of the episode and boy are my arms tired
Got em!
I’ve been watching for about a year now, and I have never clicked on a Rick Glassman joint quicker. And boy are my arms tired! I’d love to see to see Dax on here again! I feel like Rick has such a way with guests and it could really help Dax open up a bit more. Absolutely love the episode, and love the podcast!
This is my 7th comment
I’m leaving a comment because I like this podcast, I would list my 5 favourite moments but boy my arms would be tired
47:54 great timing "the pizzas here" that was hilarious
Rick's period/ellipses joke at 45:20 cracked me up. And the silence that followed made it so much better.
This really is amazing, I could watch Dax speaking in long form all day. Both of you are very thoughtful, I think its a beautiful combination and would love to see you two speak together again. I imagine the more you two got comfortable, then it would be even better....peak uncomfortable comedy
Oh man this is a great crossover. And a future Annie Lederman episode teased in the ad reads! God bless this pod and everyone involved in putting it together
Dax wayy too humble. He was one of the top subscribed channels in the early days of UA-cam. True pioneer of the platform.
Genuinely an icon.
Crazy that Dax dated Chelsea Peretti
Ricks Trump impression sounds like the best Bernie Sanders impression I've ever heard
i thought the same thing lmao
Really loved those 2 Gilroy minutes, was a good call by the host to throw those in.
Is Dax the first guest to recognize the blanket falling? 😂 I think he was waiting and did it on purpose 🤷🏼♀️🤔 heh
I just watched an episode where Rick goes into it being a bit, and they do a montage of previous times, some of which were acknowledged.
The montage might have been in one of the Ben Schwartz interviews
I just love Dax. He seems like such a genuine and kind human being. This interview was awesome on both sides!
Im getting "you go head", "no please, you go" vibes😅❤
rick always knows how to dig into mysterious ppl like dax. great ep. the lisa gilroy part was hilarious 🤣

1. i like that rick asks really good interview questions while keeping things light and funny and clever
2. i not only like but LOVE your dog, the sleeping in the laps is to die for
3. i think i liked the pizza party AI? that was wild lmfao
4. i like your guys' energy together, youre both smart dudes
5. i like that the ads still keep me entertained
thanks guys
dude, I love the wide array of guests! I also love how it feels like the audience is just another person in the room. You're a home run hitter for sure! I know your arms be tired...
Hey Dax, as a fellow self conscious person, I want to let you know that you’re a very pleasant person and I find your quirks endearing. I think we all do.
I am telling you this in the hopes that when you start to second guess yourself or get in your head about something, just know we’re not uncomfortable because we know you’re funny and also just enjoy your quirky genuineness.
But also, don’t get too comfortable because as excruciating as I find it when I feel that way in front of people, I can still recognize that its very entertaining for everyone else to watch you I crash and burn.
I’ve definitely lived more freely just embracing the fact that I’m always the different one. Eventually, you start leaning into it.
Even the dog is thrown off by the energy. I love it
People didn’t understand Rick at first either because he was and is an Enigma, so it’s beautiful to see him telling Dax to have confidence in what he says if he likes it.
Can't wait to see Rick try to deconstruct the conversation with Dax.
ngl i stopped watching this podcast for a bit but this guest brought me back
How much did it cost?
@@sevj839 $5 and boy are my arms tired
3/5
40:17 best use of "arms are tired" ever??
He beat rick off at his own game
wish Rick would have just given that some space, it was great
4. I was reading comments and someone said "This feels like two kids forced to hang out while their mom's drinking wine in the other room." and it has reframed the way I see this episode as I'm viewing it. It really is like they're pretending to have a grown-up podcast and their parents literally never have to check up on them.
@1:06:50 The 2 minute cut-off was fucking hilarious! 🤣 Like you can uderstand Rick's hesitation, but it led to such an INCREDIBLE back and forth (plus the freestyle was awesome and indeed lifted the mood as Dax said). I usually can predict Rick's choices at this point, in these types of situations, but the uncertainty of the moment was great! Talk about being present
Edit: All the way watcher
yes this was my favorite moment too! i even went back to count how many times they went back and forth, 6 times each!
Dude I love Dax. I think this is his best interview. It's nice to see Rick engage with Dax so honestly. Dax is truly an enigma and I love this interaction. I know a lot of people question how much of Dax is an act. I think Rick as an autistic person himself really asks the right questions to Dax, but also somehow this interview feels like the most Dax has ever made me question just how his brain works
The Chelsea Peretti cameo was a great surprise
Here are my 5 favorite moments:
1. When Alvin talked
2. When Dax walked in
3. The third time you said your arms were tired
4. The time fourth time you said your arms were tired
5. Lisa Gilroy
2:50 Rick "I don't want to tell the guests what to do" Glassman... lol
then proceeds to readjust the mic to his liking anyways hahaha
Oh man - I love clips of Lisa Gilroy! (comment 1 of 1)
Great EP!!
1:41:19 okay so is this Chelsea Peretti or am I losing it?!
Daxflame was my introduction to UA-cam in 2006. All the best to you, Dax!
1:18:30 Another thought that this brought to me was the fact that we as a viewer of the podcast are already in tune with your character, so we can understand and enjoy the kind of playing that you do in a short time that others might not. Take your KillTony appearance as an example. I immediately loved you as a guest (granted I watched it because you were on, I'm not really a big fan of the show) partially because I already understood the games you were playing, but I saw the reception it had of some people hating it and other's saying it took a bit before they actually really enjoyed it, and I think it's just so interesting how much of a familiarity with the character can affect both the reception and what you can get away with.
This was the longest way of saying absolutely nothing- luv u tho, hope your arms recover from the flight
RICK RICK RICK RICK RICK RICK RICK RICK
@@Swansynit genuinely made so much sense it's hard to understand how you even managed to interpret it as nothing
Rick is hard to like at first cause unless you see him being sincere and genuinely trying to convey a point and can connect with him, and all you've seen was him playing up his ego or snobby attitude as a bit, not knowing him is gonna make him come off even more unlikable lol a vicious cycle
How do I explain to my friends and family that this is the funniest thing I've ever seen?
I was thinking the same thing 😂
You are amazing Dax embrace who you are and keep crushing it! Rick you are truly a wonderful human being as well you two have good chemistry together I feel y’all doing a comedy bit or sketch together or even a stand up show would be a true hit you would comfort him and I feel y’all would create something wonderful together.
My arms are tired, and boy are my arms tired
That's a blanket statement
I'm hoping this is the start of a very long and loving friendship
Crossover of a lifetime
I really liked that Lisa Gilroy rap thanks Dax!
Dax insisting Rick swipes to a 2 minute Lisa Gilroy clip by checkmating him with the rules of whether or not its his podcast was perfect. Chef's kiss.
Pizza Party brought me here, and boy, are my arms enjoying this bit.
"Here we GOOOOOOOO!" 🍕
1:07:10 this is probably the coolest thing Dax has done. Haha. In this moment, he didnt give a fudge. And took charge. Which is unlike him usually. Loved it. Those 2 minutes were fantastic. Thanks Dax!
I've had to pause this 10 times so I don't miss anything, and boy are my arms tired.
(Comment 2)
This was so awesome. Dax's chuckles were perfect
I love Dax's vulnerability. Such a unique cool dude.
(Comment 6)
Dax's timing with "the pizza is here" was killer (2nd comment)
1:06:20 Dax insisting on playing the 2 minutes of Lisa's ep is killing me.
Cutting to the rap was a solid call. Had me laughing hard
“Things diminish as you experience more things” - love that. This is my first comment.
The way rick questions people based off of his pure curiosity is how I wish all people talked to eachother
5. Excellent episode! Been a fan of both of you for ages, so this was amazing! Dax was a social butterfly! I actually met him randomly in LA a while back and can confirm he’s just as sociable in person lol I got a pic with him and then he smiled and just sorta stared at me and said “cool thank you”
Wow this is really interesting, Ive never seen Dax so relaxed and confident. Well done man.
I'm just over half way through and rick has held himself back from tell dax he has autism 10+ times
I would listen to you and Lisa’s rap for 200 mins Rick
8:15 Rick realizing hes actually not autistic
actually true 😂
Rick realizing why it's called a spectrum
Hes so free and seemingly unaware while rick seems so aware yet he leaves him be
I have never heard someone directly address or ask dax about whether he does or does not have a diagnosis. I am so happy to finally see his reaction to the question.
I was definitely NOT expecting a Chelsea peretti call in 😂
dax confirmed it was his actual ex on his patreon
Dax accidentally went on the highest difficulty podcast
You 2 should start a podcast. Your chemistry is amazing.
the ex gf call was wild lmfaoo
yes the pockets are small, the joker mode joke had me burst out laughing. 1
This makes me so happy. been a fan of Dax since 2008, legendary youtube vids
Dax’s ex pissed me off in about 8 different ways.
You got played, son. But laugh it off. That’s the fun of it!
@@UncleDeadly1031so then it was all a bit? I was like 90% sure but Dax seemed so genuine
@@Reaper0800
He must be an incredible actor cause I bought in fully plus I didn't recognize the girlfriend's voice. The way they set it up discussing if it would be okay to call and censoring the name really built it up to me. But maybe I was reading too much into it lol 😂
😂 so good. I love the John Candy rap conversation and getting to watch it again
Daxs smile after the blanketed statement joke was golden.
