I love this third gen. It really shows how underappreciated and unsuspecting an fbody can really be
Wow Mat, very nice and very fast to! Man she sounds amazing! Nothing like seeing a fast ass 3rd gen taking down these new cars.
Good job Matt, awesome channel and car build, you are doing it right, love this car, amazing!!! Keep it going!! You have the same problem i did, bouncing off the limiter in 4th, 3.73 should work great for you. What is your rev limiter set at?
Thanks, it think its at 6500.
"Hold on 10 bolt" 🤣 so glad I moved before Etown closed. I use to run my Jeep SRT8 there after work test and tune. Atco is a ride. Especially if no trailer if you break. Again love the car. Keep making videos.
From my old account. 2012 Jeep Srt8 before tune right after I bought it. Think it was my first run with it. Might have seen it in a phone company parking lot or by the mall where I lived. ua-cam.com/video/qFHlWJkKNmM/v-deo.html
Last run before I moved. Tuned here and you can see it shifts harder if you watch the hood rise. Eventually broke motor mounts, rear and transfercase but hey thats how you know your doing something right. 🤣 Sorry had the radio up loud. And I also talk to myself while racing, thought it was just me. 🤣 ua-cam.com/video/mQilC4HvAWU/v-deo.html
I have dreams of going that fast in my iroc and your out here living that dream fuck yes!!
Almost a 10 second car on street tires!!!!! Nice! Sounds great!
Sick. That's a mid 10 second street car all day
You are going to go much faster with the taller gears for sure. My G8 came stock with 3.70s and going to 3.45s gave me 5 more mph using the LSA blower combo
Have a strange s60 in mine. Direct bolt in with 4th gen discs. No issues with amything mating up. I promise you'll love it.
Whoa good to see your project come to fruition
Very nice, right there with my bike stock fully loaded 16 Roush rs3.
I'm sure you'll work it out & be posting some stellar time slips in no time.
Your MPH is fast enough to run 10.90s . I suggest you get Strange adjustable rear shocks that are for the fox body mustang, makes a huge difference in traction. Part number S6001EM. you will also need a mounting bracket.
You have a Monster bro keep it up ☝
Great job Matt. Only going to get better. Who says the 7.5 can't take abuse? Damn!!!
I like your videos man you make stuff so clear and you explain stuff so good you did a lot to that car man I'm following you
Hell yeah bro!!! This video made my day.. car sounds so good bro
You need to swap out the 373 gears for 327 or 355. You wanna be topped out in fourth not have to shift into fifth. I bet the gearing would help car all around at strip.
Good first day and glad you had fun
The new rear has 3.73’s, using a gear calculator 4th should top out at around 132 with my rev limit.
Yo, Matt doing good man! Catch you on the Gowanus in Mexico Brooklyn next time. "Catch me outside”.
You are hauling ass! C6 Z06 times with a professional driver! 3rd gen for the win! Get some drag radials and touch 10's! Best 3rd generation camaro on the Tube!
I made a prediction last week that you would be 127-129 w/3.73s 😉🇱🇷
Absolutely Awesome bro🤙 so much left on the plate.......
Its a bloody miracle the 10 bolt didn't completely grenade on your first pass. I think they're a little bit stronger than what people give them credit for. Did you mention what PSI you were running in your tires for your best pass?
I know, it grabbed hard when i let it out. The other passes were much easier on it as I rolled into it. Best run I aired them down to 25 in the rear.
Nice runs
Awwwwwsoooommmeee great job bro keep up with the great work
11.4 with a 2.xx 60 you gotta get a dr on that baby and it will go 10s with ease. Very nice!
Wow nice work man haha. Sick to see these cars go this fast.
I plan to get some new tires soon, would you mind telling me what tires you have on it in the very last part of this video?
Thanks, I have firestone firehawks on it.
That's what you raced with right? GTs or the INDYs?
Yea, they were indy 500’s
Hey what size rims are those??
The Hellcat got beat!! Buahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Mat, what's your exhaust setup, size pipe, and SLP exhaust are you running? THANKS Mat, love that sound!
Thanks, all it consists of is a single slp loud mouth 2 and 3 inch piping coming off of 1 7/8 longtube headers.
Jesus fucking Christ that was amazing
Yesssssss!!!!!!!!!!!
Go mustang huntin
What cam are you using now? I don't recall you mentioning it.
Its a Tick Performance stage 2 turbo cam
Was that a GTI in the first run?
Yea
Go with 1in taller tire dnt change the rear maybe 2in taller
AMRI FAST BULLET The new rear already has 3.73’s. Im keeping a 26 inch tire though, so i should cross the line somewhere at the top of 4th.
@@lsxmatt ok dnt kno how u was trying to tune it but for best times go with 28in tire u can leave harder an run 4th gear
What's trans do you run i have been thinking about swapping my 1979 cutlass for a 5.3 the car was originally a 4 speed so I wanted to keep it a manual. I have been thinking Borg Warner t-10 but I'm curious to see what you have.
Chad Bullock He’s got an LT1 T56 with a LS conversion
Do you have SFC's and what torque arm are you running?
I have umi subframe connectors. Torque arm is still stock for now.
Are your lower control arms still stock as well? Rubber or poly on your bushes?
Poly square tubular arms in the back along with a poly adjustable panhard bar. All the stabilizer bushings and links are poly as well. The front lower control arm bushings are greasable delrin.
😱😱😱
Wow
Taller tires bro!
My new rear has 3.73’s, so I should be ok now👍
I know the 3.73 gear will help but you would be surprised how much more enjoyable a car like yours would be to drive with that higher gear and taller tires. My old car was a manual with 315-40-18 and when I switched to a 275-60-15 not only was the traction better, the fun factor went way up for me.
Higher gear and taller tire will keep the engine in it’s sweet spot longer while driving or making a pass.
I was gonna get 28’s as well, but after going from 4.10s to 373’s + 28’s I figured it would feel a little sluggish. I have a set of 26’s on the way, depending on how they do, my next pair may be 28’s.
*ClickBAIT* You got taken down by the Hellcat , since when does a 11.4 beat 11.0 ? And the thumbnail would lead one to believe that YOU ran the 11.0 when in fact that's not your time at all .. why ? You one of them guys that's gotta lie to hang out ?
Still beat him, I crossed the line first and won the actual “race”. Not my problem he was sleeping on the clock.
@@lsxmatt at a "no prep race" or street race sure , BUT when the clocks are on at the track for test and tune hits - he with the fastest ET and MPH clearly has the faster car - and therefore wins , it was NOT a eliminations "bracket race" ,don't care who your time slip says won .. reaction time has ZERO to do with ET
@@lsxmatt you have no reason to bullshit anyone ,not even a little bit , your car ran hard for being manual trans on street tires .. if you could run that Hellcats 1/8th mile ET you would be in the 10's
Were you running brackets or test and tune? When I ran test and tune it was like straight up, 1st thru the traps lights the win light. At least thats how it was in NJ.
