Looking good! Very good you got the carb heat/airbox fixed. I used to have a Cessna 150. Please be aware that the O-200 can make carb ice even in warmer weather. At the first hint of engine roughness, FULL carb heat and wait. It can take a couple minutes for it to clean up and run better. I lost a very good friend in a Flybaby from suspected carb ice.
Is that the 0-200? I have a Tailwind W8 with an 0-200 and the tapered wing. Just over 100 hrs in it now. A Prince P Tip 68x49. Very satisfied with the airplane. Have owned it for 25 months. No plans to ever sell it. It is sensitive but not twitchy. Stall is gentle with this wing. Flaps..50 mph Clean..60 mph. Cruise..125 mph. Max .. 140 mph. Climb at 90 mph is 1100 fpm. Full gross...800 fpm. Final and over the fence is 80 mph. Doran Jaffas N625MS Ionia, Michigan KY70
It's a C-90 with an O-200 crank. So pretty similar. Thanks for those numbers! Getting close to my first flight so any information like that is nice to have. Those climb rates are pretty impressive, I would think I would get similar numbers out of this one
@@MotoFlightGuy I would really like to stay in touch with you. Not many Tailwind W8 Aviators with the smaller power plants. Where are you located? Always looking for some place to fly with a purpose in mind. Full disclosure here. I purchased 25MS built with 400 hrs on it. A friend of mine with time in one and also a CFII flew it from southern Alabama to Michigan and then checked me out in it. I hadn't flown anything that sensitive since my Sonerai II days over 25 years previous. Paying him was money well spent. I converted mine to center sticks and moved the throttle to the center of the panel. Made a huge difference in comfort. The original configuration was stick in the center and throttle on the left. Feel free to text me at six one six, three five zero 1463. Hope to stay in touch. Doran Jaffas N625MS
@@doranjaffas7351 just purchased a project W8 with a o-200 mount, would love to talk with both of you and maybe take a look at your aircraft, from Minnesota, will be at Osh to.

I'm ready for part 3 already! Can't wait to see her take flight
Good stuff, keep it comin!
It looks like some sparking from the right magneto at about 4:30-4:33 ? Did you look into that? Otherwise it sounds great.
It's light reflecting off of a piece of insulation that was loose and blowing in the wind
I’m glad it was nothing.
I'm glad you mentioned it. I hadn't noticed that in the video and it never hurts to mention something like that. Also, thanks for watching!
I am building my own W-10 Tailwind, so I wish you well and hope you have many years of enjoyment with your classic airplane.
