Just purchased a B7200 HST 4X4 last week, Hour meter only shows 234 hours and the battery was 20 years old. Been in a garage unused. Real looker with belly mower. I truely appreciate the video. Great job and very informative. I went through the belly mower and before I slide it in Im thinking I should change the fluid. Thanks again
Congratulations on the purchase! Belly mower is a great implement to own and use with these tractors. I'm not sure about the 7200, but the 7100 unfortunately can not have a belly mower and a front end loader (or backhoe) because of the subframe. I instead use a 3 point mower on mine. After +-20 years of sitting in a barn, changing all of your fluids is probably a good idea. Don't forget air and oil filters as well, after such a long sit, they've probably degraded considerably and you don't want the little pieces floating around in your engine. Great video! Thank you. Do you have a video on how to drain all the hydraulic oil in all the hoses for the front bucket assembly? Also, do you have a video about maintaining the oils in the front end (dif / axles)? If not, can you or someone direct me to these please? My Kubota is a B7200 and seems very similar. I don't know the differences.
I don't have the videos you're looking for and I don't know of any who do. For the front-end loader, it is likely dependent on the make/model. At least for the B7100, some loaders run directly off of the tractor hydraulics (mine does) and others have their own independent pump that runs off of the front pulley of the engine. Do you know the make and model of your loader? For the front drive, I do have a video planned, but have not gotten that far yet. If the B7200 is similar enough (and it should be), the procedure is fairly simple. There is a fill plug at the top of the front differential case and at each wheel gear case. Remove these first. Then, the drain plug for each will be the bolt closest to the 6 o'clock position on each of the respective components. You can tell the drain plugs from the other cover bolts in that the plugs will have a brass washer as a gasket. These gaskets will need replaced any time you remove the plugs. Refill each case to the bottom of the fill plug hole with SAE80 gear oil. Thank you for your interest and support. If you have any more questions I'll do my best to address them.
These are Firestone Power Implement, and yes they've been perfect for backhoe work, ground engaging implements, and still mowing without tearing up the ground. Be advised: they only fit on the stock turf rear rims, and you have to put different front rims and tires on to use them else you'll tear up your drive train. I still plan on doing a tire video in the near future.
Is there an adjustment nut for the lowering speed of the 3 point hitch that you know of. I just bought a B7100 HST and the hitch lowers very slowly. The last owner said it did that when he bought it 5 years ago.
Yes, you can adjust the lowering speed of the lift arms. There is a vertical bolt on the control valve body just forward of the lift arm control. At factory settings, there should be 3mm clearance, and with no load, the arms should go from full up to full down in approximately 4 seconds. Back the bolt out no more than 90 degrees at a time until you achieve this, and then test it with an implement installed on the hitch. What rear tires are you mounted with? The tread is what I'm looking for... not super deep tread.
