I'm the same way, I raced motocross for years and having my bike look showroom for tech inspection was standard practice.
Also keep a small pocket knife handy and dig out those rocks in your treads. Everyone sees them. 😎

I have a industrial vacuum. After I wash my bike I then put the vac on reverse and blast dry it. When ya hose it of water settles in the frame, ya need to blast any left over water, cause pools of water cause rust.

Do you still have dirt residue underneath the rad and rear rack after you wash it like this? No matter what I do I can’t get those 2 places as clean as the rest of the bike.

Do you use silicone for the mechanical components? Also does the JD wax work on the black plastics? Thanks!

Definitely like the way you wash your bike, and gunna have to give that Jax Wax a try for sure. But when I get done cleaning my bike I use a tire foam care that really makes the tide shine and I spray it pretty much all over the bike and it makes it look brand new

I don’t know if you’ve gotten a different pressure washer since this vid was posted, but if not, then look into doing the orifice change on the foam cannon. Most come with a 1.25 mm bore orifice but switching it for a 1.1 mm bore orifice will make that foam thicken up some instead of being runny like it is in the video. I’ve got the same issue and I’ve been waiting for the weather to warm up and stop raining so much here so I can make my video.

@@trevorh.4 idk why people are always hating on polaris. i throw mine into some insane situations on my trails behind the house and with good tires, im going up over 60deg inclines in awd. the awd is great because i don't have to mess with engaging and un-engaging the 4x4. i just ride it. ive even wenched it up a 20ft creek wall, i mean vertical elevator style. it goes over trees with ease and mows brush and trees down (i do need bush guards on the front and rear soon but i haven't scratched it too bad). i don't submerge it or haven't yet, because i haven't seen anywhere that you can't go around when it's that deep. i know the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, but sometimes going around is smarter and faster. it's not like you're walking around, you get to drive!
ive heard about the "belt slipping" but belts are cheaper and easier to mess with than chains so i like it. all you have to do is drain the water out of the belt casing, smoke a cig and you're good to go. i guess if you're into "mudding" or whatever (i don't understand the point of just playing in deep mud. i only go through mud when i need to get somewhere and i can't easily get around it, im more of a technical trail rider) then, you might want a highlander or something with a snorkel and huge tires, but those things will flip over and you will die at my house (high center of gravity). you need a low center of gravity, decent ground clearance, and 4x4 with good biting tires to ride at my house. im gonna get a gopro soon and ill start making videos to show the sheer ridiculousness of my trails, but a 400 polaris my buddy lent me was great on my trails (it fit through smaller places), but it lacked the power in some spots, so i got a 500, and mine has the larger frame, so i widened my trails and ive just about got them all fixed.
i need a bridge to get over one or two spots because my front tires don't stick forward enough, and when i go down one creek bank, it slams my wench into the other bank and the 400 didn't do that. it rocked over til the back wheel was in the creek and the front up, then i just step behind it, and push with gas and it climbed right out. my 500 is better suited for 2 people and doesn't flip as easy when sideways and tilted on a mtn. i mostly ride my motorcycle, but i got something to help around my property, pulling trees and stuff, and of course i can have a little fun, especially in the winter when i can't ride my bike. 2006 polaris sportsman 500 efi with a 3000lb warn wench and a 2015 yamaha fz-07, both red. :)
