It's a long video so sorry in advance... Very awesome hunt! I haven't seen much currency older than the 1960's, either in person or in video so this was a new, fun and cool experience for me. Keep up the awesome work!
at 24:56 I am pretty sure that there is a trinary. It has 4s, 5s, and 7s. You were saying how close it was to a radar and then tossed it into the regular pile. You can correct me if I'm wrong.
I have a 1928 $1 blue seal. The reverse is really neat! It got that Art Deco look. I also have a 1976 $2 with the printing skewed. The circular seal with the big F in it is on top of the “this note is legal tender for all debts public and private”
Very Good Serial Number & I Love The Year To in That Serial Number, 1977.., Some of my All-Time Favorite Movies Were Released That Year. Star Wars, Close Encounters of The Third Kind.
Quick question Rob, I have a sequential set of 1957A silver certificates. They are in really great condition, crisp no folds, and would probably grade pretty high. There are 6 of them. What do you think?
Need to grade REALLY HIGH to make it worth it. Otherwise, just put them in soft sleeves and then into rigid plastic sleeves and keep them. Worth around $10-$20 in nice condition UNGRADED and more for the higher PPQ's.
@@RobFindsTreasure Thank you Sir, Appreciate the response and your time. Been watching your channel for a long time now and I really enjoy your content
Congrats again Rob, I can't get over that haul 1 1/2 boxes+ and not one clad and all those blue and red seals. I save the X notes I don't come across them all the time, don't think there worth much Z are hard for me to come by for some reason too. That fancy note is a nice one, it's cool you got a good amount of fives also. Usually you only come across 1 and 2 dollar bills in the wild. You always give good advice or to the best of your knowledge. Thank you for that I've learned a lot from you over the years👍👍.
Where do you purchase your bills from? I've been collecting money for a long time and my main bills are Barr and Dillon, and I have some star note silver certificates.
I love collecting old bills! Just got a 1923 silver certificate $1. I am pretty knew to collecting and I didn’t know you could go to a bank and purchase old bills. I’m gonna have to give it a shot with my bank when they open back up
For the most part the tellers will just kind of skim through their boxes to see if theres any old bills for you to exchange for. It's very unlikely for a bank to just have old money laying around.
Hey Rob how do you get that many blue and red seal bills at your bank? I rarely get them in Pa. What do you do with the bills you get are great but not star or key dates or serial numbers? I have a few notes but noting compared to your collection i am sure. I find my stuff in change or sometimes at the bank but rarely. Any tips on where to get some older bills just want to add to my small collection.
I have a few older money and would like a honest opinion on the $ 5 & silver cert. they were my mother who pass on 4 yrs ago this month going thru her stuff & found about 70 bills.
I emailed you last year about my father's 1966a 100 red seal notes he left me. Had PMG grade them. The 3 consecutive were 66epq 65epq 66epq. They gave me a bad grade the middle note, was mad but Sold those ones anyway to my buddy. Had one with a fold. Came back 58epq. And I kept 1 that was a 66epq. Loved them all. Will keep the one and pass it to my son... Love the score, need to step my game up and get those tellers to keep collections for me
Hi Rob!! I've been watching your videos, but was wondering something. One of the dollar silver notes didn't have a letter behind the series number...why is that?
I literally collect any 2 dollar bill I get. It will not leave my hands. I think the 2 is the absolute most beautiful paper currency ever made. Wish I could get all of those from you.
9:54 that 35h is a keeper. I've been studying alot on silver certificates lately and there are alot more things to look for especially in the 35 series notes. Also one more thing I want to add mismatched serial numbers were alot more common in these notes I hope you checked for that aswell.
Not sure where he comes up with these values? I am a collector and member of PMG. Sources I use for values are, A guide book of United States paper money sixth edition and the standard catalog of United States paper money 35th edition. Now I have bought compared notes for about the same prices. Circulated $2 US note, maybe 3-4 dollars. But I’d love to buy an uncirculated $5 US note for 20 bucks like he says and send it to PMG and it grades 65 EPQ. I’d be able to quit my day job!
Is it worth keeping large print run star notes, will they appreciate over time or should I just spend them? Also, what about 5 consecutive $1 bills where one of them has only 2 numbers 8s and 0s? I appreciate any advice, Charlie.
The coolest dollar bill note that I have is a Hawaii 1935A WWII Emergency Issue Silver Certificate F-C Block and there was only around 12,000 of them made in the F-C Block I think - something like that - and the only way I'll get it graded is if I bring it in person and leave with it in person! Has HAWAII stamped on the left and right side vertically and the stamp color and serial number is a brownish color.
yes to the right collector who looks for those years do to bd or anniversary's or some like the regular holidays but again to the right collector. idk on what to do when one gets something rare how to exchange it for something bigger to us then something that's rare we all need a bank account that is worth a life time of ease

If you're in the market to sell any of those silver certificates I'm in the market for buying. Great bank finds... ran into one of those recently. 380 worth of nickels.. 1913 type 1 down to 1970d ... beautiful collection.
Hey there, Rob. Im sure after 3 years someone has pointed out that towards the back of the $2.00 search, there were 3 sequential notes. Good for a "lot" sale. Anyhow, carry on, good hunting!
New to the channel. When searching the Five dollar bills after the run of Blue notes there was a Red note with extra writing on the bottom where it say Five Dollars. Anything special???? Thanks.
Looked like one bill you had in the last strap the serial number was printed wrong and it was printed up very close to America just noticed but maybe nothing. It was the 3rd bill into your strap

Hey Robert I suggest watching variety and errors channel it will help you a lot. He's really good with knowing his bills.
I don’t really know much about bills so what city is “B”
If that first birthday note you found had another 0 not a 4 I think it would be and error. Low number some sort
I love the red seal $2 note. That radar note find was awesome.
Off topic, but pulled a Kansas “In God We Rust” quarter in pocket change this weekend.
Newer to the channel and liking learning what to look for
Very awesome hunt! I haven't seen much currency older than the 1960's, either in person or in video so this was a new, fun and cool experience for me. Keep up the awesome work!

I found 2 star notes (1 being 1/250,000 total printed) and a cool low number 00001977. And this was my first bundle I did 😊. Thx for the tips👍
Very Good Serial Number & I Love The Year To in That Serial Number,
1977.., Some of my All-Time Favorite Movies Were Released That Year. Star Wars, Close Encounters of The Third Kind.
That's a few bucks for sure.
They use only the serial after they supposebly destroy it, the mess up.

I think that's what I paid 10+ years ago for a star note. When these get to banks, do they get destroyed by the federal reserve because they "worn"?

At exactly 26 min in you had a red seal 5 with a serial number starting with C all the rest were As. Was that more valuable??
So... what about the star notes? Is there a "rarity" lookup on a website, for older star notes?
Loved the different hunt. Awesome finds

Delightful, Rob!!! Thank you for the lesson on these awesome bills!!✌🏼

Hey man, i was wondering how you get these old bills in bulk in order to search through them?
Did you get the silver certificate bundles from your bank? How did you get them?
3 of those 2 dollar bills were sequential. Is that worth anything more?
Rob; I found a $1 bill which has a serial number that repeats itself. It’s a 2017. Was wondering if it’s worth more than a dollar?
I just noticed something real neat with 2 of my $1 silver certificates. 1935 E that the serial numbers are only 1 number apart. Decent shape as well.

Why is it that Hispanic people keep a 2 dollar bill on them? Do you know?
11:05 It is just mind-blowing!!! Congrats mate. 👍😀😀
Great search. Love going through old bills. Even if they're yours and not mine. The silver radar was the best.
Was it a thing at some point to fold horizontally? It seems many of your bills have horizontal creases.
👀 damn that's a ton of star 🌟 notes... cool hunt. nice score.
Are ? X suffix notes also a different way of marking a replacement notes.
If you're in the market to sell any of those silver certificates I'm in the market for buying. Great bank finds... ran into one of those recently. 380 worth of nickels.. 1913 type 1 down to 1970d ... beautiful collection.

I’m seeing STARS!! I love seeing other color seals. Another great score and can I say I was born in the ‘30s??? Love the video.
So cool to see all those old bills. Love this video
I picked up a Star note Silver certificate in circulated condition for about $2. Is that good?
Do most banks have silver certificates and red seals?
How did you manage to harvest so many silver certificates?
Cool score. I hope I can get that lucky to find a collection dump.
Is that 1935e radar slightly off cut?
Yessss!
Rob, did you just go to your bank and ask to buy the bills? Did they charge you face value?
His bills have been out of circulation for 50 years. He probably bought them on eBay.
Do you have to go to a certain bank for silver cirtificate or does any bank have em
Hey there, Rob. Im sure after 3 years someone has pointed out that towards the back of the $2.00 search, there were 3 sequential notes. Good for a "lot" sale. Anyhow, carry on, good hunting!
Those old Bills are just awesome
I don’t blame you I would of added to my collección myself ..congrat .. so lovely 😊

Thanks for all the information Rob...
How do you get the bank to give you older notes? Do you just say “I want $xxx in old notes” and they do it?
What would a 1976 $2 start note in uncirculated condition go for?
What about a mint uncirculated radar star note 🤔 how much you think that would be worth
Love seeing all those silver certificates, blue and red seals!
F04064914A seems like its printed “off” the serial number is much closer to the “ONE DOLLAR” is that anything? Its in the last strap

great vid! can I buy a 1$ silver certificate in good condition?

I seen a few bills that were off center. They are considered an error bill because they are supposed to be centered on the field. Thanks for the video
