    I use the husky as my every day carry. Perfect. No issues. Don’t even need to worry about damaging it.

      I have some stream lights and I have been thinking of doing the same. Kind of nice beam and the throw is small but bright as hell in that 20-35 meter range.

    I am a mechanic and use the Milwaukee and it os “ok” but once the batteries get to 50% it gets really dim. Tru view rocks but not for most stuff.

    The “natural light” just makes it look dimmer, but there’s less glare. Blue light hurts your eyes.
    I got a two pack of the Milwaukee lights for $25.

    Unless you specifically are looking for a "penlight", check out the Maglite XL50. It takes (3) AAA batteries and is 200 lumens. You can also double click the button and get 50 lumens when you need less light. It is slightly fatter than a penlight and fits in the hand better. It is my favorite inspection light. It has 6 hour run time on high and is MADE IN USA. For headlamps check out Petzl. I've had a Pixa 3 for 6 years and I swear the batteries refuse to die. It is resistant to falls up to 2 meters and crushing up to 176 lbs. It is IP67 waterproof, chemically resistance to oils, greases, glue, hydrocarbons, white spirits, and bleach, and it rotates to a storage position that protects the lens.

    I had that Milwaukee light. I lost it while shoveling in a parking lot. The NEXT day in a separate snow storm while in the truck plowing looking out my window the snow row from the plow was shining. I got out and found the Milwaukee still working. Unfortunately going under the plow it was bent in a way I can’t change the battery’s. So it’s dead now.

    Seems like it comes down to a matter of preference.... I mean as much as I love Milwaukee I’m just not seeing what constitutes a $12 difference in price... and oddly enough whatever reasons aside the Husky is actually a little bit brighter.... again I guess it comes down to whatever brand you feel more comfortable with....If you’re willing to spend the extra $12 because you like Milwaukee then so be it

    These flashlights are like utility knives, got a good one and it's indispensable but there are a 20 or so companies like Klein, Milwaukee, Dewalt trying to get your money for over complicate products. I see a small DeWalt LED flashlight at my local lumber yard last week and they were $50! Just buy an LED rubber body Energizer at Walmart and be done with it. Loose or break it and you're only out $10 or $15.

  • @chrisjones6165
    @chrisjones6165 5 років тому +3

    Neither. Clips on both are junk. Lost 3 Milwaukee's and the husky in 6 weeks from clips falling off and then it's gone somewhere on a big commercial job site. The harbor freight for 5$ works as well and has lasted 4 months now

      @@chrisjones6165 well I was only kidding, trying to keep it light. But the definition is very fitting if you buy a light, use the clip, lose the light, buy another, use the clip, lose the light, buy another, use the clip, lose the light, buy yet another different brand similar design, use the clip, lose the light. Glad you got the HF light and that it works for you. You were teetering on the brink there. Again, just kidding. I have done worse with much more expensive tools. You have a great day too. My sense of humor is often mistaken for me just being a jerk. Those who know me know otherwise. Well most of them.........

    Milwaukee = Marketing Masters
    Question: If two people tried both lights and BOTH claimed the Husky was brighter, why would you keep going back to the claims on the package to try to convince them otherwise? What if the Milwaukee package said it was 200 lumens? Would you believe it?

    • @eosjoe565
      @eosjoe565 5 років тому

      Go with the Maglite XL50. It **IS** 200 lumens and vastly brighter with longer battery life (6 hrs).

  • @meowNDTP

    Why do you bother to do reviews and comparisons when you are so clearly completely brand bias? I don't mean to sound like I'm attacking you it's just a legitimate question. Also maybe a durability test and a battery test should be included in something like this. @ToosInAction

    Husky is alot of brighter, But lots of glare compared To milwaukee less Bright, But No glare staright image. For my opinion I'll go with the husky Due to the price point, Brighter light, And quantity you get. I don't need a clear image while using flashlight. I would suggest for mechanical maintenance Milwaukee definitely no doubt.

    It's all about battery platform people.............. Kidding, of course. I have just about all of the Milwaukee lights. The tru view is really a bigger deal than most people think. The high blue of most LEDs is harsh. The Milwaukees are easy on the eyes(not so much on the wallet). My gripes about the penlight are that 1. it's on or off, no low or medium setting. Usually, you are working up close with a penlight and I'm usually holding it in my mouth. Sometimes the reflection from the work goes directly back into my eyes. A low setting would help. and 2. wish it was rubber coated on both ends or completely overmolded. I hate when I drop it and just know that I dinged the end again. Great light overall though.

    Streamlight is the best honestly when I was a tech b4 I went back into construction I always used streamlight I lost a few in customers cars but streamlight holds up really well and super bright I might check out the Milwaukee since its fairly cheap but not bright

    I EDC a Sunwayman M11R limited edition with a Cree XM-L2 LED as it runs a higher CRI value (color rendering index) than the standard version. It has a nice blend between spot and spill in the beam pattern. I really enjoy the interface as it just uses a rotating ring as opposed to a standard button. Otherwise I run Zebralights. The M11R and the Zebralights use the two best interfaces of the hundreds of flashlights I've looked through the specs of years ago. I have given away Husky lights as very cheap gifts. For myself I'll stick with Zebralights. I've yet to see better non-custom flashlights.
