Trains terminating at Accrington and traversing rarely used cross over points.

Due to engineering works on the line between Accrington and Preston on Sunday 13th November 2016, trains from the east were being terminated at Accrington. Trains would arrive on platform 2 then use the rarely used cross over points outside the station to shunt back across to platform 1 to restart their service from there. Trains between Accrington, Blackburn and Preston were replaced with a bus service.
DMU's 150224 and 156460 were on the Man Vic - Accrington - Man Vic service.
158752 was on the Neville Hill - Accrington - York service.
156472 and 156489 was on the Man Vic - Accrington - Man Vic service.
Whilst probably not the most exciting video, it shows the rarely used cross over points west of the station being used to turn back trains onto the opposite platform for departure.

Yes they did this over a few Sundays and had a bus service from Accrington.
