Thank you, I'm fascinated by this part of the world. When the world returns to sanity I'm going to get a Lancashire Rail Rover and spend a few days there, maybe based in Clitheroe or Colne

I loved catching this route. Much rarer than the one via Bolton and picturesque enough to put your book down.

Oh man the inconsistent speed and rhythm of that windscreen wiper would drive me absolutely insane, respect to anyone who has to deal with that all day, a stronger person than I could ever be.

Thanks for the vid, even if it's guidance only it confirms one thing, it really is that slow between Todmorden and Burnley, but looking out the front window you can see the winding track.

Great video, beautifully edited! - is "low adhesion" to do with the rain, and, if so, is there a system that alerts the driver or is it just the feel of the ride?

Raining in England, who would have thought it. I used to be a freight guard for BR and remember the leaves on the slow line, wondering if the sand will do the job.

The typical Lancashire & Yorkshire railway territory, in typical Lancashire & Yorkshire weather.. I bet drivers never tire of this route and it's scenery! Whilst never travelled between Todmorden and Blackburn, I can say between Todmorden and Mytholmroyd is beautiful If I go that far up. past Hebden Bridge.. I recommend (or not) those who like to have their lungs implode, to walk from Hebden Bridge to Heptonstall up on the hill, it's certainly bound to bring a bit of colour to your cheeks, albeit not the ones on your face.. The views from behind the bowling club of the Calder valley (and railway) are worth all the effort, with a pint on the decent back down to Hebden bridge in one of the beautiful watering establishments of both intoxicating and non intoxicating brews, then a walk back to the station... excellent day out...

Great to see Todmorden through to Burnley Manchester Rd via my old home of Cliviger. Such a shame about the litter around Manchester Rd but that's Burnley for you.

Never mind Burnley,, they seem to have destroyed Blackburn station as well !! It was once a listed building !! No building to be seen now. And judging by the approach to Huncoat Station and Level Crossing. The railway board have experienced some incidents regarding (Signals Passed At Danger) also known as S.P.A.D . They shouldn’t have pulled the vintage Signal / Crossing Box down at all.

Happy New Year everyone..A shame about the weather,,but a nice run though,, thanks for that 👍But after all these years and even I back then as I did a stint myself as a signaler for Railtrack in the mid 90s and I even noticed in this video myself that passing Church and Ossy station between the Two bridges the express trains STILL to this day get jolted ,,back then on expresses from Leeds - Blackpool the Tee Trolly nearly couriered out of control 😚😧😝but 1000 thanks for the showing ✌️p.s where is Rochdale West fringe box ? Is it Castleton by any chance ?

I love your videos; thank you so much for them! However, I don't think much of the lighting for you in the tunnels!

Good vid, thanks. Was the warning horn sounded at 2:20 because you saw the orange mixer and thought it could have been a high viz?
