@@lentrout9858 Guitar Challenged? Really? You do know that Jimmy Page used a Telecaster to record the last Yardbirds and first Zep album right? He switched to a Les Paul because it was easier to control the feedback on stage and he didn't have to worry about where he was standing in relation to his amps as much, not because he didn't like the sound of his Telecaster.
@@lentrout9858 I must have misunderstood your comment about "guitar challenged" what exactly did you mean by that? Also the guitarist in this video is literally playing Led Zeppelin tunes, funk riffs, jazz lines, blues licks, and pop grooves among other things, so I am not sure where you are going with "country style," did you watch the whole video?
The neck pickup on that SG sounds extra sweet through that Superlead! Fantastic work, Lyle! Whoever owns that amp should name it Lazarus because you brought it back from the dead.
I wish every video of this kind featured a db meter in the shot, so we can get a sense of what the amp sounds like at what level of loudness. I get the impression that this was recorded pretty damn loud, but that's all I have, an impression. Numbers are good.
A 70s 2203 demonstrated by some country fried dude! Ridiculous!
1) It’s a Super Lead not a 2203
2) The country fried dude is playing Zep.
3) You’re a fucking idiot.
Country fried Zep! You're guitar challenged.

If every guitarist walked in the studio with an amp like this - it sure would be an easy engineering job! Mic, mic preamp, tape, job done!
The camera was on a tripod. All camera movement was due to the air coming off the speakers.
🤣
Finally got to this series of videos. Awesome rebuild. Incredible player and amp. 🤘
Great sounding Amp and so cool to hear an awesome Memphis musician playing it!!

Phoenix
Loved the zep bits...nicely done
Worth every moment you put into it! 😃
Man that amp nails that zep tone your amp work is stellar and he is one hell of a player.
What an amazing sounding amp.
Yeah that amp sounds incredible!

SELVIDGE! TEN YEARS GONE! It's a great day!
And Star Man on the Pacemaker!
Oh Lyle - that sounds awesome! Great playing
Fantastic. That is how to noodle on guitar to put the amp through its paces. This amp should be in front of 250K people every night.
Sounds like a proper Super Lead to me. Nice work!
Great sound and some top riffs....Wow, that's some amp now Lyle...Ed..uk..😀
Nice use and example!
Beauty...
Good playing. Where's the variac?
I love the look of that tele! What is that? Custom shop 63?
It's his latest partscaster. Maybe he'll chime in with details. It felt great, and obviously sounds great. Lollars I think.
MJT body, Musikraft neck, Lollar Tele Specials, Callaham bridge.
I believe this gentleman could plug into a toaster and make it sound good...
Never mention the toaster incident.
Is his band on the run? 😁🤔
More than ten years gone...
@@PsionicAudio , I thought I heard some McCartney/Wings licks in there....
The BotR licks are very similar to the Ten Years Gone licks.
Sounds great! Whatcha running tube-wise?
Mullard CV4004s, Sovtek LPS in the PI, Mullard EL34s. RI Mullards, not NOS.
Check your email!!!! Have Amps to send!! Also do your Lyle Caldwell ac30cc mods work for a 90s 6tb??
I will, I promise. The mods for the CC do not apply to the TB. It needs other things done.
@@PsionicAudio even for just the tone? Not the noise/hum and longevity issues. My 6tb has pretty acceptable noise, think I got lucky.
