Through the first 2 qualifiers…this game is pure NFS heaven! Looks fantastic, runs smooth as silk, art style with flair accents for boost/tire spin/jumps actually adds element of intensity that’s fun and works with mood/tone of the game. The cars during high speed feel controlled yet exhilarating. The overall smoothness of graphics/gameplay cannot be overemphasized! And, for once, the story is truly enjoyable 😄 Criterion/Ghost have knocked it out of the park with this one. It’s everything I loved about Heat, evolved and expanded. Fantastic NFS game!
Same here, this is the most fun I've had with NFS since the Underground days. I did enjoy playing the Hot Pursuit Remaster (which was also Criterion) on PS5 at 60fps, but not being able to customize the cars beyond the basic paint job was a drag.
I have another tip for drifting for U guys. If you also somewhat oversteer on a drift and have a yellow bar available you can use it to cancel the drift and tour car will just instantly accelerate wherever the front of the car is pointing.
One tip ive learned the hardway is pay close attention to event types particularly drift. I dont like that once you start an event you cannot change car or handling once initiated. Several times i thought a drift event (high score) was a drift race and selected a higher grip car and at S+ events thats alot of cash and alot of points needed to win.
anyone else (that has actually played the game already) thinking that there are a bit to many cops spawning and also many times spawning inside your car? at 'heat' level 4/5 there are more cop cars than civil/npc cars, especially in the rural areas :/ also the amount of money you earn feels really unrewording and like a really exhausting grind so far... but great informative video so early after release 🗿
I haven't exceeded heat 2 yet. But, yeah, I noticed you have to be very careful, as the cops always seem to be on the exact roads you want to take, even when you're not routed on the map. I think there will be a serious grind component to it, but that's not a demerit for me. I'll take anything that will draw out the core story time.
OK, now that I've settled in on the game, my impression has changed a bit. I still like it a lot--the handling, graphics, map complexity, and AI racer difficulty are huge advancements. But some things are starting to irk me slightly. The progression feels really slow and unintuitive when you're just starting out. You need a lot of money, and it's not easy to come by in lower-tier car. Also, you can only do one or two worthwhile events per session (day or night) if you only have one car. Some big money events are lower tier, so you have to build up a car to the top of its tier and keep it there, then build up another car to a higher level. Of course if you do a big money event in a lower car while you have heat, getting away becomes a big problem. I'm tempted start a new save, now that I know more about what's needed. The wrap editing isn't as smooth as in Heat. But I do like that the car is well lit on all sides. The cops are always in your path. If you have even slight heat, they always spawn where you want to go. I like that you can zoom past them at lower levels before they detect you, and it's easier to take the out a full tilt, but still, it feels overkill at times. I haven't been busted yet, even at heat five, but I can imagine that's going to feel like a major major setback when it inevitably happens. These are probably natural growing pains that come when learning a new game, and I won't be surprised if things get way better. But, for the time being at least, Heat is still a better overall experience imo.
I feel your pain.... I chose the Beetle as my starter car and I am realizing I made a mistake as just getting it to A class is taking soooo much money. 😂
I was noticing the slow progression as well. Starting out very slow. Also the cops are pretty hardcore. I got busted first time yesterday cause they switched me to my b tier car and the chase resumed after the race lol
Tip: For those who're looking to score more points in drift races, just tap continuously the NOSS button the entire game, this way your points will not decrease or get wasted faster.
This games actually surprisingly good after so long. Biggest gripes are a 1/10 story and overwhelmingly eyeroll dialogue and 4/10 music across the board. But the racing is fun.
Thanks so much! I don't usually play racing games and was having so much trouble figuring out how to get the drifting to work and your video is the first to actually help me. I kept seeing other peoples vids that weren't really explaining how it worked with the controls, but they were doing like perfect drifts and I was getting frustrated haha. Made me happy to see someone not play perfect, but be able to actually explain the mechanics in a way that made it easy to emulate.
I'm liking the game so far. But im not a big fan of the restricted freedom. I often like to just drive around but with this new version of the day night/weekly progression, it makes me feel like once I leave the garage, I HAVE to be doing races and nothing else, or I wont be able to go back to the garage, as it progresses the story. I dont really like that... But other than thst the game is really good so far. A slight breath of fresh air to the franchise.
yeah it's a bit annoying. It's also annoying that i can't just modify my car without the time of day switching. If i'm changing colours and want to see what it looks like while driving, i don't want to skip through the story because of it.
After feeling the game out for a few hours (will be able to dive in more this weekend), I gotta say, if you're on the fence about this, just go for it. It'll take some getting used to, but it's really shaping up to be a something special. The story seems especially good so far, and the graphics are astounding. I'm impressed how much better it is than Heat (my favorite NFS and one of my favorite games all-time). Also, the art style is kinda growing on me, I'll admit. (Edit: and the collectibles/activities are great!) I fully expect people to gripe about the handling at first. But I gotta say that while, again, it'll take some getting used to, I think it will turn out really nice--especially on higher-performing rides. Even though I still have a ways to go, I'm starting to get more comfortable with it. Take your time, get your settings dialed in, and I think it will be a very satisfying experience. The other thing is the sheer size and detail of the map. I thought Palm City was big, but Lake Shore seems far more COMPLEX. After learning Palm City pretty much like the back of my hand, Lake Shore feels so foreign. It's challenging to find your way around, but I think this adds legs to the game experience. Will definitely be a chore finding hiding spots and learning how the cops are at higher HEAT levels. One demerit is that the 150K BANK from the Palace Edition is only in the multiplayer. I don't think that was clearly conveyed (or I wasn't reading close enough), and I feel a bit deceived (jf you're not too concerned with multiplayer, spend as much as you can buying the character customizations and stuff before the story starts). Another is that some of the voice acting and very "zoomer" dialogue seems questionable (if not a bit cringe at points), but I can say the female character's voice acting is much better than the male's.
Only down side with NFS games is the campaign is many long. I’ve been playing for 2 days and almost have it beat lol and I’m not an online guy so I’ll Prly have to put it down after a little bit of fun and unlocking. I wish they had or I should say I wish they would do weekly updates and events similar to Forza
I recommend having a car of each teir to maximize your money because if you have just an A car your locked out of doing B races and some of them can pay out a lot.
I’ll have to keep the yellow NOS meter in mind better, ‘cause the AI is kicking my butt. I’m astounded; they’re harder to beat than unbeatable Drivatars in FH5 😮 Didn’t expect that.
Definitely harder. I'm still starting out in the prologue and I'm struggling on the challenging difficulty. I'll changed it to relaxed when I play again xD
the yellow nos certainly adds more depth to the races beyond just throttling it. Like when you're drafting, do you pop it early or keep building it up until it's at max? Do you use it around the next corner especially if there's an s-curve coming shortly after? The AI certainly uses the yellow nos as well so not using it yourself could be disadvantageous.
@@JadeMythriil Ive noticed the AI uses its yellow NOs almost always at the same time I use mine. For the same duration. It's almost like the game is coded to "cheat" to keep the AI ahead of you. There's deffo a lot of cheapness on display. It's more than a little annoying.
I only started playing last week, some of your videos have helped a lot. Once I figured out that the car is taken away, I looked at the store to see which was the most expensive, then restarted and chose that one LOL. If I play long enough i will try to collect as many as I can and figured that would help.
for people using keyboard on PC: tips for perfect launch I used the old Most Wanted and Carbon trick rev up the engine for the counts 3 and 2 but when the count hits 1, let go of the gas right before GO, rev it up to hit the perfect launch. this works for me at least 90% of the time.
I just purchased the Mitsubishi because it had the best stats and looked good. BTW love your vids and I am thankful for you because you help a lot. Especially because I am already stuck on week 4
Been playing on challenging mode int he 2002? Civic Type R and loving it. Brings me back to NFS Most Wanted and Underground days. Thanks for the video, I was used to starting a entry drift early in other NFS games, but noticed it would either grip or carry to much speed in and not drift or 360 the car, like on rivals it's so easy to drift any corner, so looks like I need to learn how I tap the brake button to angle the drift and not hold and go straight into the wall, thanks

I was still coming 7 8 before the qualifier so I spent some money on a car vanity, thinking I will get a new week of races to compete and get better. Have to repeat Friday only again and again but have the car maxed on the A race meter to compete. I really want to play the game but I only have a ps4 nor do I have a pc that can handle any triple a racing game:( however, I learned the tips so when I get the chance to play the game. It would give a headstart
You’re gonna love the grip build cars! I’m in 3rd week on in-game calendar and using S-tier Nismo GTR that’s all grip all the time. You can kick out the back end and drift with e-brake and throttle control for right angles and hair pins….but otherwise the grip is absolutely insane 😁
I can't seem to drive right and get 1st place, anywhere I can go or video I can look up to know how to turn, when to use NOS, how to get perfect start, when to wait for NOS usage?
I just don't get how to handle the car. It randomly starts drifting while I'm trying to go straight but when I'm trying to dodge an incoming car it just won't turn at all. The drifting is also so weird. Am I not supposed to use the handbrake? It turn way too sharp that the car starts spinning basically. It either doesn't turn or turn too much. I hate it so far
Thanks very much for this video it really helps and from the looks of it I picked the wrong starter car to build SMH should have went with the eclipse and not the Mustang
Bro i was playing the game for the first-time on easy cause i heard its hard even for experienced players, "unfair even", chose the eclipse and kept driving it in the last race, never had to change it, never had to buy a car cause i kept getting free race ones and upgrading them.😂😂😂😂😂😂 Plus i chose the eclipse cause it was a car that wasn't in heat and also i love fast and furious😅😅😅😅 I also chose the Silvia at the very beginning cause i loved the body kit showed of in the trailer.
Hell no on the starter car, i struggled in alot of races with the eclipse. Its better to get a rwd like the Miata or Cuda, both cars were way better than the eclipse
Wait....people pick a starter car based on stats and not their dreams?
You pick it based on stats or dreams?
I just grabbed my fave, which was the Fairlady
@@AllardWolff same I own a 240z that’s why I choice it lol

@@InfiniteMeerkat71 that's the first step, everything else comes after😭😭💪🏽❤
speedometer for pc players on keyboard is just pure heaven lmao
I’m not gonna lie to you I actually love my starter car
I can't seem to drive right and get 1st place, anywhere I can go or video I can look up to know how to turn, when to use NOS, how to get perfect start, when to wait for NOS usage?
Thanks so much for this video I just got a new ps5 and i get t a lot of car games nfs inbound is one of them
How do I race with the car I bought ??
That's cool and all but the biggest tips of all is wait for EA to fix the rubberbanding
Are the community wraps showing up for everyone else?? Cos mine are just constantly loading but never load so I can't view or apply any?
Nice tips thanks 🙏
I just don't get how to handle the car. It randomly starts drifting while I'm trying to go straight but when I'm trying to dodge an incoming car it just won't turn at all. The drifting is also so weird. Am I not supposed to use the handbrake? It turn way too sharp that the car starts spinning basically. It either doesn't turn or turn too much. I hate it so far
I can't move the needle for grip/drift tuning section, does that have to do with the tires I've selected on my build?
for drifting i keep it on default so i can tap brake turn then Gas thru
Hey Trigger, are you playing on PC? i'm still having no controller ingame i cant play without controller
Bro thanks alot for last 2 tips
Thanks very much for this video it really helps and from the looks of it I picked the wrong starter car to build SMH should have went with the eclipse and not the Mustang
i kept my miata until it couldnt compete anymore in S+ class otherwise i kept my starter car and did most races with it
NFS content tips great
I took the wagon in online as my starter. First thing I did, sold it and bought a civic😂
This game is crazy hard , it's like elden ring of NFS games
Bro i was playing the game for the first-time on easy cause i heard its hard even for experienced players, "unfair even", chose the eclipse and kept driving it in the last race, never had to change it, never had to buy a car cause i kept getting free race ones and upgrading them.😂😂😂😂😂😂
Plus i chose the eclipse cause it was a car that wasn't in heat and also i love fast and furious😅😅😅😅
I also chose the Silvia at the very beginning cause i loved the body kit showed of in the trailer.
Hell no on the starter car, i struggled in alot of races with the eclipse. Its better to get a rwd like the Miata or Cuda, both cars were way better than the eclipse
If I only wanna focus on the multiplayer, do I still need to finish the campaign? Or nothing transfers?
I just got this game and im impressed by graphics and Performance on ps5. Im on week 1 but Not making that much money ... i want a better car
I finished the whole game with the eclipse
