Another piece of advice I'd attach to this:
If, at any point during your day, you have 15+ minutes of spare time, use it to take a nap. You don't have to be fully asleep. Close your eyes and try to relax your muscles. Don't move much. It might sound like a chore now, but it improves your mood.

Alec Takaki same here. the more i sleep the less time i have to spend thinking about facing the rest of my life alone. ,going to bed alone ,waking up alone,. dying alone. ! its depressing just thinking about it. sleep is escape from the reality i have to face when im awake.
Cathy T these thoughts comes at night as well, sometimes I have to redirect my thoughts and try to think positive cuz obviously I can’t sleep right way. I also noticed depending on my emotions my dreams r also similar. Nights or as hard as days, I’m praying to God this is a faze and have better days. Sometimes, I sit and think I can’t believe this my life.

My mood is not bad when I wake up...but as soon as I have a little time to start my day, I get overwhelmed. Depends entirely on the reason you are suffering emotionally. If you
are in Covid lockdown and already were living alone, disabled so you
can't go for walks, and then 2 or 3 other REAL life things.... sink
drain clogs, someone next door is blasting music, and you have a
migraine -- just try just drinking something. REAL life situations require real life changes in order for there to be anything more than a few seconds of relief.

I've needed a video like this. I love my everyday routine, it keeps me focused. But I work with the public which generally isn't that bad but I'm moody. I'm constantly trying to figure out why because nobody wants to be around a moody person. I'm going to add this to my routine and watch myself improve.
Dr. Gary,…where have you been all my life??😁 You have some great, usable advice and you’re just naturally good at making sense of things to people. Things we don’t think of for ourselves. I’m puzzled as to why you don’t have over a Million subscribers!!😧 There are many other Dr.’s out here who give advice but I usually notice that much of it isn’t really “practical” and much of it is a bunch of ‘word salad’ that gets lost in all of the talk.

I already do both these things and have for a long time.it doesn't help my days are still long and lonely. I have very little family or money to go out.my family is busy with their own lives and I am miserable. That's so weird that I came across this video. My doctor had told me the other day that I was dehydrated and I had this thought that you must wake up dehydrated because you haven't had water for at least 8 hours. And then I come across this. Thank you.

Thank you Dr Gary! I'll try it tomorrow but before I go to bed tonight I'll take a big glass of lemon water and see how I feel tom'r. I had a few baked goodies earlier and I think the sugar in them is going to really upset my body. Normally, I don't take any sugar or sugar products but I purchased these items the other night at Shop Rite and I want to bake them and say goodbye to sugar again for good. Thanks for your videos! Going to try it. I usually go straight to a cup of coffee in the morning but only 1 cup. I have heard caffeine is a diuretic so I better have that big glass of h2o first. I had never thought about brain dehydration. Thanks for the info.

Just drinking water and thinking a positive thought in the morning is not a magic pill to fix all your problems. Proper exercise every morning along with proper eating throughout the day (low carbs, limit snacking, limit sugars) can also help a great deal. Gotta work on yourself and change old (bad) habits into new (good) habits.
