have always put off learning Zulrah but decided to try it. this is the first guide i clicked on and it was simple and straight forward. thanks for the tip about putting the rotation pics in one folder so u can easily move over to select the rotation. I am actually enjoying this boss just hit 50kc with no deaths. THANKS!
When I was trying to learn the phases I found that the mage only method was a lot less stressful and I still got decently quick kills. I did this for awhile, and once I got the phases down I brought a range switch.
It is useful to do it this way, but much more time consuming when learning. I think it's better to just take minimal switches and try to learn the correct way when you start.

This is a good guide! Killed Zulrah on my first try. It was my first time bossing too. I found the prayer switching tip to be really helpful: Focus on switching to the correct protection & damage prayers first, then swap to the respective gear for the phase. Looking forward to continue learning the boss. Thanks!
I found this guide the most useful for me. Watching you go through a few rotations allowed me to practice before fighting which really helped because I found it a little overwhelming trying trying learn gearswapping whilst managing prayer and referring to a diagram. Thank you!
Just thought I should let you know... You never get to the 10th phase on Magma Rotation on your video but I had a few issues with this: you actually can't walk on the highlighted tile on the most south-eastern corner so you can't alternate between the two squares, so for Magma rotations on phase 10 I would run back to the starting tile to avoid getting stunned. Apart from that, great guide man. Helped a lot.
So on the 10th phase, you go back to the starting point? i'm thinking i'm going to have to do the same on these phases, because i can't dodge that melee attack on the western side of the island, without having to run into poison gas.
I know there's a lot of updated Zulrah guides(2022-2023), and after watching them I can confirm. They aren't as detailed or as in-depth. This really does teach you everything without glancing over or being really reductionist.
I have watched and studied over 10 guides of Zulrah and this video is hands down the best one out there. From 6 Zulrah kills and 9 deaths to 125kc, 2 kill trips (just by looking at the zul phase pictures on my 2nd monitor.
You probably make some of the best guides, and even though these are beginner guides they work well for higher level players who can just tweak their gear to their liking. Keep up the good work, you're doing great.

I got it on my second try, which could be attributed to luck probably. But, what I can say from it is this: when he says prioritize the prayer switch above all, hes not kidding. Although it might be hard to say, since it was only 2 attempts, the 2nd one felt so much easier when I was focusing prayer switches. I can't thank you enough for your guide mate, really made my day!

I did my one zulrah kill for elite void, i died probably 10 times or more. I swore from that day on, i'd never do zulrah again cause that boss is by far the hardest to learn. This video has given me a new hope lol. I might give it a shot this weekend. I downloaded the rotation charts you made, and will have them beside my screen like you did.
I started this summer and it took me almost 20 tries before I got my first kill (brute forcing all the four phases). I now have over 1000 kills so after the first kill it quickly gets easier and easier until it’s semi-afk. Gear and levels help a lot but it’s mostly your own efficiency that affects the dps. Don’t give up! :)

Chris Martin Those are good stats, I have 99 range and 90 magic atm but started with maybe 90 range and 80 magic but with regular void. Ring of Suffering is a huge QOL investment. Use hotkeys too for easier switches! In the beginning it’s chaotic and you barely have time to do any dps before it switches phase again. Switch prayer first (also using rigour/ee and augury/mm decreases kill time) ,and while running to the next spot switch gear and eat. Always try and eat between phases (this is the most important thing to decrease kill time). Also during the range and melee phases you should not take any dmg besides a couple snakeling hits so you don’t have to eat high if you don’t have the time but can instead eat after that phase instead (so you don’t waste dps eating). During the mage phase watch out for the range attacks and be ready to eat/combo eat. Sometimes it uses the range attack several times in a row and every attack can hit 41 so sometimes you can’t do much. With time you will also remember how many attacks you can do during each phase and also how many attacks Zulrah does. Be ready for a new rotation if the kill takes too long (it can get confusing) Try and always think ahead - it will all come together eventually. You’ve already gotten one kill so you’ve already made it pretty far. Keep going and don’t give up! I can’t play today but tell me if you get stuck or something else and I’ll try and help.

Even as an above average player, I think your guides are the most useful and player friendly when it comes to PvM. (Even if most of them don't take into account Low level or Med Ironman accounts). Keep up the good work!

I got 30 kills using only blowpipe, with rather consistent 2 minute kills! If you have max gear, 99 range and rigour you dont need to switch. Tbow is even better but blowpipe is fine
Tip: Each time zulrah goes towards the MIDDLE whether it be inside or outside the platform, move to the OPPOSITE side of where you are such as being on the left, run all the way to the right. It may take some tries, but with this, you don’t need to memorize. Move to the specific tiles marked. The north east and north west tiles are used the most!
Hanchu yea this is a great way to learn zulrah, and eventually you’ll memorize the rotations when you keep doing this. I did this and eventually got a kill my 7th try and now I’m at around 300kc. Try to keep the inventory switches low and make sure to pray first before switching gear
Hanchu I only mark the north west and north east tile bc these are the tiles I stand in the most and his melee CAN NOT hit u in these tiles. I never stand in the north middle tile that is in the video.

This guide is what after about 30 mins of trying got me my first kc. I died as it did but I'm not even mad I got the one kill needed for the diary and that's all I need for elite void for Vorkath which will be way more chill. That being said I know where to go for the Vorkath guide
as a noob learning what would help me tremendously is showing 1 extended kill example maybe in a separate in depth video so its not too long, where you pause at moments when the fight changes and tell what the player should be looking at focusing on and your thought process, so that we can recreate it, otherwise when a phase changes or clouds come i have to panic and try to remember which thing to look at and I miss a few ticks
For “Jad” phase, you need to have your prayer switch on before Zulrah’s attack. Some people have trouble grasping this concept because Jad has a delay to change prayer.
Forgot to mention you can log out after the first phase to get the rotation you want to learn i recommend the “magma” phases cause you have to use the same spots in both rotations when you log back in you’ll be next to the boat ready for another attempt

Great guide and pictures, using them now to get the hang of it all. One thing though, there's a mistake in the picture which kept getting me killed at first! At the last melee fase of rotation Magma A and B, you have to stand NORTHEAST not NORTHWEST, otherwise you'll get smacked by the gas! You can more easily get there if you stand SOUTHWEST instead of NORTHWEST at the Jad fase preceding it.
honestly would recommend 85 in range and magic so you don't have 3:30+ fights constantly draining your supplies, also in my honest opinion I'd tell people to use slayer helm(i) with ahrim body and legs for mage and karil's/blessed god g'hide for range, its only 3 switches and in my opinion(and from what I have tested) its better dps than void and you don't take nearly as much damage from snakelings. I would also perhaps mention for people trying to understand Jad, instead of worrying which one to pray first by looking at the colour of the circle, just say "both jad phases on the right starts with range and both on the left start with mage" that way when people are learning they don't have to look specifically to see which colour is on top and which is on bottom only that its a multi-coloured one and its a jad. I'm currently on the Zulrah grind myself with 54kc, and this has made my kills so much easier and sub 3min fights, with my pb being 2:17 for not that great gear.
not going to lie, i had to rewatch the intro like 5 times. the little zulrah bit entertained me way too much, my moneys on you laughing your ass off for a few minutes while making that intro
i suggest going into the lair without any items and mark the tiles. hold shift and click right mouse button and click on mark tile. ( works for both runelite / osbuddy ) its my 1st time and ive died 4-5 times trying to mark the tiles.

I would like to know two things: 1.) What is your suggested inventory setup when using the Twisted Bow with maxed Ranged gear (instead of Archers and Arma Helm, I'm using Suffering and Serp Helm)? I also have a ornate pool, fairy ring (no Elite Lumbridge done), and the Agility level for the shortcut. 2.) What's the average kill per trip (or per hour) using the setup above? Hoping to hear back, thanks.
great guide, ty the pictures were what l really needed and the video helps make it clear, i don't use runelite, and didn't want to bother memorizing these rotations, since its a lot of work for one boss, much easier to just use the pics. sucks that this boss doesn't really need skill, just memory to be good at haha. before this, I did manage to kill this boss twice on my pure (85 mage/range) for an achievement I needed for my house, but since I didn't know the rotations and only used skill and luck, I could never kill Zulrah again after that and gave up.
This guide ended up helping me complete western providence hard, something I had all tasks done except for Zulrah like last summer I believe. Killer walk through man.
It would much be better and clearer if you put that rotation guide on one image and made it as simple as possible to players just look at it when they're on zulrah and act accordlingly. I personally used this method to memorise all the rotations and now it's just muscle memory, if someone is troubled with switches then I recommend practicing on cleaning herbs and going in for it like inverted letter N it makes it fairly simple.
Magic level and good magic gear is way more important than ranged! There's 28 Zulrah phases where she's weak to magic, and only 15 where she's weak to ranged. So if you have to decide on whether to get higher magic/ranged levels and better gear, always pick magic. No guide I've seen so far mentions this

Wish you covered the "melee" attack a bit, it's so odd when you get hit despite moving to the next square. It's obviously timing but it's super unclear.
Hey there AsukaYen, this is a great video and has helped me get my first few kc to learn, (only died about 10 times to get it lol), but im having 1 issue with the fight. During any magma rotation, on phase 10, it seems that i cannot move between the tiles. After i got a kill i made sure it wasnt my fault by checking the exact tile you marked, and the one i marked. It seems that you cannot walk on the west north western tile. I have either the option of getting chain stunned during phase 10 or eating a ton of poison cloud damage. I have no issues running between the squares on magma phase 2, but phase 10 has been destroying me. Could you help me to figure this out? Thanks a ton for the great guide!
straight away on the melee phase when youre in that first position you can just alternate from the second spot he goes too and the one next to it you dont need to go that L kinda shape

Yeah, skip 10th phase and move straight back to first tile. That's what I do. U get to dodge the poison that way

Also try and heal to full health before jad phase so you then have to focus only on prayer. Prayer switching and eating sucksss

honestly would recommend 85 in range and magic so you don't have 3:30+ fights constantly draining your supplies, also in my honest opinion I'd tell people to use slayer helm(i) with ahrim body and legs for mage and karil's/blessed god g'hide for range, its only 3 switches and in my opinion(and from what I have tested) its better dps than void and you don't take nearly as much damage from snakelings.
I would also perhaps mention for people trying to understand Jad, instead of worrying which one to pray first by looking at the colour of the circle, just say "both jad phases on the right starts with range and both on the left start with mage" that way when people are learning they don't have to look specifically to see which colour is on top and which is on bottom only that its a multi-coloured one and its a jad.
I'm currently on the Zulrah grind myself with 54kc, and this has made my kills so much easier and sub 3min fights, with my pb being 2:17 for not that great gear.

not going to lie, i had to rewatch the intro like 5 times. the little zulrah bit entertained me way too much, my moneys on you laughing your ass off for a few minutes while making that intro
i suggest going into the lair without any items and mark the tiles. hold shift and click right mouse button and click on mark tile. ( works for both runelite / osbuddy ) its my 1st time and ive died 4-5 times trying to mark the tiles.
you can spectate somebody and mark the tiles that way

I would like to know two things:
1.) What is your suggested inventory setup when using the Twisted Bow with maxed Ranged gear (instead of Archers and Arma Helm, I'm using Suffering and Serp Helm)?
I also have a ornate pool, fairy ring (no Elite Lumbridge done), and the Agility level for the shortcut.
2.) What's the average kill per trip (or per hour) using the setup above?

great guide, ty the pictures were what l really needed and the video helps make it clear, i don't use runelite, and didn't want to bother memorizing these rotations, since its a lot of work for one boss, much easier to just use the pics. sucks that this boss doesn't really need skill, just memory to be good at haha. before this, I did manage to kill this boss twice on my pure (85 mage/range) for an achievement I needed for my house, but since I didn't know the rotations and only used skill and luck, I could never kill Zulrah again after that and gave up.

Going to try and do Zulrah for the first time ever this week. 99 Range should help. 84 Mage, so might bump that up to 90 first.

It would much be better and clearer if you put that rotation guide on one image and made it as simple as possible to players just look at it when they're on zulrah and act accordlingly. I personally used this method to memorise all the rotations and now it's just muscle memory, if someone is troubled with switches then I recommend practicing on cleaning herbs and going in for it like inverted letter N it makes it fairly simple.

Magic level and good magic gear is way more important than ranged! There's 28 Zulrah phases where she's weak to magic, and only 15 where she's weak to ranged. So if you have to decide on whether to get higher magic/ranged levels and better gear, always pick magic. No guide I've seen so far mentions this

Wish you covered the "melee" attack a bit, it's so odd when you get hit despite moving to the next square. It's obviously timing but it's super unclear.
yes, exactly. he kills it before the entire rotation is over, so i'm not seeing where to step to avoid the melee attacks.

Hey there AsukaYen, this is a great video and has helped me get my first few kc to learn, (only died about 10 times to get it lol), but im having 1 issue with the fight. During any magma rotation, on phase 10, it seems that i cannot move between the tiles. After i got a kill i made sure it wasnt my fault by checking the exact tile you marked, and the one i marked. It seems that you cannot walk on the west north western tile. I have either the option of getting chain stunned during phase 10 or eating a ton of poison cloud damage. I have no issues running between the squares on magma phase 2, but phase 10 has been destroying me. Could you help me to figure this out? Thanks a ton for the great guide!
