Thanks for these updated impressions. I checked out their forums and people who ordered in 2022 still haven't received them. Unless they drastically scale up production, which doesn't seem likely, it doesn't look like new orders will arrive until late Winter or maybe even later. Bummer.
It looks like there is some kind of vertical screen tearing showing up in some of the games (Sonic) in the middle of the screen. Can you confirm if that shows up on the uConsole screen itself, or if that might be from your camera instead?
Any chance you were able to configure the buttons/keyboard on the uconsole itself, or were you forced to use a controller? I am not able to get ES to recognize anything except the ABXY buttons and taking a controller around with me isn't an option. I've also been trying to find a way to manually configure these with no luck. It's like it completely loses the keyboard once ES is launched. If ANYONE can help, I'd really appreciate it!
@@RGhandhelds Thanks for the reply! If it's the thread about updating the profile file, that didn't work for me. I can either use the ABXY or the Keyboard but not both at the same time. If there's another thread I missed, I'd be happy to review it!
still waiting. i plan to cancel my order right before it reaches the limit of where you can no longer get a refund. i don’t expect them to deliver but keeping the order status because it is a cool product. just the supply & demand and wait for delivery is terrible.
Nice video. Please can you tell us, if this device fit in a jean's pocket ? Also, how long does the battery last ? What about the weight ? Thanks a lot.
@@RGhandhelds I'd be interested in this or a demo of it running OpenTTD. I'm trying to see how it is to play more traditional mouse based games (Red Alert, Battle for Wesnoth etc.) using the built in controls.
Is there any way you can post a video as to how you got retropie working on the Clockwork there is literally an entire reddit community for this thing specifically for that reason and cannot use it because it won't let you update I can get the script to run but it fails to install every single item and there is zero documents or videos on how to get it working as it is bot plug and play like on a pie. Everybody's got videos of it working but nobody has a how-to video you would make a lot of people's day.
"Please, excuse my driving skills guys", then goes full initial-d with double drift and a clean steer out
And I'm usually the one who forgets which button makes you go so either I sometimes sit at the start for a sec or reverse LMAO

Placed a 2022 order and I just got mine (January 2024)!
Glad to see more uConsole content!
Omg, this is what we needed. Fantastic.
Sweet. I always get a nostalgic kick from that airwolf theme. I'd try some old DOS games with this. Should make the keyboard more useful.
I have loads of old dos games on my uconsole they running amazing well as I showed doom.
grats on getting doom running, tmk you were the first. i was hoping i'd be but congratulations nonetheless.
i love it, dude...

when raspberry comes out with a CM5 would you be able to swap out the CM4?
Providing the dimensions are the same should be good.

Won’t fit in jeans pocket but the weight isn’t too bad. Battery varies on what type of cells you buy.
@@RGhandhelds Sad. Do you know a similar device that can fit in a jean pocket ?
@@give_me_the_language_of_song I am afraid technology is not so advanced yet to have this kind of spec in your pocket give it a few more years.
How about Gameboy advance or DS and wii emulation?
Should be fine I will do another video soon.
