I like option B. Regarding the ottoman: I’m commenting as a person who had an upholstery shop with my first husband. He did most of the work, but I did help. You did an amazing job, almost on par with a GOOD professional upholsterer. Better than some I’ve seen by other upholsterers. My hubby was a perfectionist and did really good work. The cardboard strip you used is really helpful in getting a good line. And the felted bottom does make it look finished. Your bridge looks good too. Excellent DIY!

I love your flavor! I like option #1 the best. There are little things at the bottom of most sofa/chair legs that both make the furniture easier to slide and protect the floors. You might want to add a few of those to the bottom of both sides of the shelf you made to fit over the ottoman to make it easier to move.
Those double curtain hangers were such a great find. I've been wanting to install curtains with sheers but have been avoiding it because of all the measuring and drilling. With only two brackets being necessary I'm going to go ahead and get that done.
    Thanks so much for sharing!

The ottoman is fantastic! With regard to the credenza, I, personally, prefer Option B. The tripod legs on the lamps make them take up a lot of room and, consequently, the credenza ends up being a little small for the two lamps. AND, further, your mantel piece is dressed in a feminine manner; so the B option goes with the mantel a little better.

I like both, but in option 2 , I would take out the gold frame and add a family framed photo or a framed landscape PC of artwork. Buy them at flea markets, antique shops and yard sales, etc. That ottoman is gorgeous, but I would have preferred a lighter toned wood. I love oak and so I would have made it in oak for the wood grain appearance. Its still drop dead Gorgeous 😍 though! I can't sew things like curtains, so I usually buy ready made and pay someone to alter the length for my shorter windows. I only have 4 sets of windows that are shorter in height. Everything is so beautiful! Wish I could build stuff like this, but my hubby can, but I can't sew, except for buttons. I have no patience or skill for that. First of all, great job on the ottoman!! No one would ever know it's a DIY!! My vote for the entryway table is option #2. It just looks comfy and inviting.

Option 2 on the entryway table! And I LOVE your ottoman! You really did a fabulous job making it and it looks wonderful in your newly made over living space! Super nice job... you constantly inspire me to become more 'powerful'!

Really like the simplicity of this.
There's 2 things I bet you could do... the circle you cut for the ottoman... or even the base of the ottoman, you could lay this over the square top and trace the rounded corners.. then sand down the corners to the lines. The next thing.. you could flip the ottoman and put in a drop door for extra storage or a good hide-y hole. Just a thought

Natalie, the ottoman is absolutely gorgeous, it doesn’t look DIY at all! It looked like it came from a very high end store! Wow! I love option#2 , gorgeous!💕💕💕

I really like option 2! I like the added color and softness of the flowers and the difference in textures between the flowers and that beautiful lamp! ❤️

Wow, what an absolutely beautiful ottoman. You did a fantastic job. I like the first option on the buffet. I have used power tools my entire life. I also was a mig welder at a shipyard for years. Then spent 20 years as a casino dealer. I am disabled now, at age 52, but I still use my power tools especially since I can't handle saw by hand.
