My wife and I took our 3 teen daughters ten years ago to see Linkin park and Chris Cornell in Atlanta. Still the best show I've ever seen.

@@yoshinawavtFor me, even though I had nothing to do with his passing, his death has been personal for me for a while, even though I had nothing to do with it. Long story short, when I was 15 years old, I was about to be a high school freshman, and well, things for me at the time, they were all going and looking, so far, so good. But just when I was about to be a high school freshman and when I thought things were all going good, even though she was old and even though I I know very well that it was her time to go, my grandmother at the time, even though she was 85 years old, she unfortunately passed away in the same month and same year, as I was going to start high school, and she died a week before my freshman year of high school could even start for me. And well, do you think that I would’ve wanted to start off high school after her passing, like following her death, and then having to start high school at the time, with my grandmother being dead? No, thanks. But whether I like it or not, that’s how it all unfortunately happened for me. And well, it wasn’t right after her passing, as she died this month from 7 years ago back in 2015, but somewhere around after her death, not even by September, but I do remember in between September and December of 2015, around by October or by November of 2015, I had thoughts of suicide, as I didn’t know how else to deal with my grandmother’s death at the time. But I then thought deeper about my suicidal thoughts, and I thought deeper about them, and I was asking myself, if I would’ve killed myself, and if I was dead from suicide, what would my own family and friends say or think about me? How would everybody who I know and love react to it? And I also thought about my grandmother, if she was still alive, and if she knew that I would’ve been dead from suicide, how would she have reacted to it? What would she have said or thought about me being dead from suicide, if she was still alive? It was hard, but I eventually pulled myself out of the dark path, and I don’t have thoughts of suicide anymore, as they all eventually went away over time. And well, that is one of the reasons on how and why Chester Bennington’s death was and still is personal for me, even though I had nothing to do with it, because even though he did it for a different reason, I knew what he went through with thoughts of suicide, considering that is how he died. And well, the other reason on why I feel a deep and personal connection to his death, is because when he died, he died in the same month as when my birthday is. My birthday is on July 11th, and I was born in 2000, and I was just 17 years old in July of 2017, and literally 9 days after my 17th birthday passed, on July 20th of 2017, is when we all heard the sad and tragic news, that Chester Bennington died at just 41 years old from suicide. And well, the way I saw it back then, and the way I still do look at it, even all the way up to this day, if Chester would’ve died on my birthday from 5 years ago, it would’ve been worse for me, but he still passed away in the exact same month, as when my birthday is, even though he died 9 days after my 17th birthday passed back in 2017. In conclusion, those are the 2 main reasons, on why Chester Bennington’s death was, still is, and always will be personal for me, even though I had nothing to do with it.
