hows the sizing i have a bit wide feet , i wore 8 in nike sb and converse cons . But i wore 8.5 in new balance numeric and vans . Should i get 8 or 8.5 in etnies michelin ?
I’ve just picked up the Michelin Maranas but I’ve had 4 pairs of the regular ones. I don’t do flips but I’m learning freestyle and they really do hold up well.
I’ve had this shoe in the regular Michelin Marana and the Chris Joslin pro model and they are both amazing. If you want a more slimmer shoe skate the Chris Joslin one instead
@@twindr4kes one more thing im so sorry, is the pro model Joslin 2? or is it just called Joslin because im on the website and it doesn't say pro model (im rlly new to this so im rlly sorry I don't mean to be annoying)
The price on their official website when new is around $80. But if you look around on amazon or other skate sites, you might be able to find even lower. I've mainly found pairs ranging from $30-$60.
Not sure if I said specifically but here’s a full review of the Joslin 2s: ua-cam.com/video/cgQ-B5a-Vo8/v-deo.html I would say I prob like the Marana’s overall but Joslin 2 for durability and impact protection. Also just picked up some Joslin 1s 👌🏽
i feel like a more advanced shoe might be one which is actually lower tech and not meant to be for everyone but they skate how you want. over the years of skating you develop more taste for equipment and what height trucks you like or width board or what kind of shoe. Something like a Last Resort AB might be way more simple of a shoe but a lot of high level skaters love them because the board feel is great even though other areas are lacking such as comfort or durability. But it's just not a good shoe to recommend for everyone. Especially a beginner skater who is looking for a shoe with more comfortable padding and durability to learn how to flick your tricks without destroying the shoes so fast.
@@seanbrownskating okay thanks so much, do u still think these are great even with the little extra bulky ness bc other than that I feel that these are perfect
Got them today because i destroyed my nyjah 2s in just 1 1/2 weeks of skating. (they dont last very long dont waste your money guys) i am hyped to try my Michelin Marnas out!! Ty for the video. Sry for my bad english i am from germany 😅...
hey i can tell you why the heel flips felt that good…that's because it’s a cupsole shoe and from my experience and of what i heard cupsoles are great for any kind of heelflip tricks but the kickflips are harder with them and vulcanised soles are better for kickflips and the heelflips are harder with them
There are hooks that you can lace through under the eyelet flap, Your laces will never rip if you use them!
Holy moly! Dude! I never knew!!! This is game changing!
@@seanbrownskating I ripped my etnies in 2 weeks
@@seanbrownskating I ripped my Michelin etnies in 2 weeks
one of the main advantage of Ethnies shoes !!! ( that's probably why there is no spare laces ...)
You are a lifesaver. Just laced mine up and saw this video. I've changed em now. Cheers
Honestly my pair of Etnies is also my all time favorite, lasted me practically forever. Super underrated brand.
These shoes are so comfy. I’m keeping the insoles from all my maranas going forward
The insole is also really good imo, I usually skate until my feet are too sore to continue, but with these insoles my feet won't get soar at all.
I skate in the Etnies Joslin vulc and they too are very very good. I love them. Might try a marana next! good review btw. New sub✌️
I wanna try those vulcs so bad. They look nice!
@@seanbrownskating The quality is insane. Honestly I fear giving a try to any other brand than etnies!😂 you just cant go wrong with them...

I had a pair of these last me about 6 months

These are still my favorite skate shoe. The last longer than any other ones i tried and they got great cushioning
What about the sizing? I'm a size 9 in Vans.
Super helpful review, thanks so much!
Are these good for wide feet?
I would say so. This is not a narrow shoe compared to some others
I love these shoes, gonna buy them again
I love Etnies they hold me better then any shoe. But I always get a hole in the sole where my big toe is.
Does your pair have grooves on the upper side to fixate the tongue?
have you tried the Joslins? not the 2, just etnies joslin. if yes, do you prefer the marana or the joslin
Have u made a how to hardflip video?? If not can u make one in the future plz
ua-cam.com/video/YmZMfWgiKDI/v-deo.html here's an old one!
And your vids are fun to watchhh
😎🔥
loving them, my first skate shoe :))))), learned bs 180 in these

^ and then the Joslin vulc but I don't think you're talking abut that one
Might just cop me a pair👀
I really like this shoe. The only complaint I have is that I rip the laces way faster than any other skate shoe I've tried.
They do rip pretty fast!
What's the price range compared to Vans Pro? I'm rather new and I started with Vans Pro.. thanks!

do these give good ankle protection do you think :) I have weak ankles but this vid was amazing really thinking about getting them
I would say the ankle protection is pretty standard. I think they have some mid versions for more ankle protection.
