Another thing you could do, although you might need to add some internal display lighting, is get a Billy bookcase with glass doors. With that you only have to worry about sealing the door and not the sides.
This is always in the back of my mind whenever someones studio/workshop backdrop is all their painted miniatures displayed across some wall mounted shelves "Those must be absolute hell to dust off"
I was just looking for a dust proof way to expose my collectibles and randomly clicked on this video and I was impressed by the quality and editing. So much in fact, that I thought you must have like 500k subscribers or something damn.
Say this just in time! I'm moving in with my wife, we lived separate due to job things, and moving my Detolf was such a pain that I wanna phase it out. Big thanks!
I've just discovered your channel Blake and I love your videos. It would be great to see your studio set up if you're still thinking about making that video.
Any idea of the best method/product to add some lights to the shelf? Besides that, great video, just subbed. Hope to see more from your channel. WIll definitely being using this for my minis and gunpla!
The lights that are recommended on the Ikea page should be good enough! I need to use specialized film lights for content reasons and are honestly overkill for most people.
This method also works on all other cabinets, such as the Detolf! Just make sure to measure the gaps in-between panels to get the right sized strips.
Quick self promo followed by a compact 3 minute tutorial with a pinch of tips.
Lovely
Would absolutely love a studio tour! And awesome work on the shelving
Omg this is so underrated how have you not got more views!! Such high production quality too!

Let's do it. Studio tour please.
I'm not much interested in the production aspect but how your setup affects your hobby workflow.
Perfect for my lego display
Nice. I have been thinking about this for sometime.
I literally just replaced this exact cabinet with the bigger Rudsta this past weekend, thanks for the idea! May not sell the old one after all now lol
Cool video, been wondering how to defeat dust. Cheers.
