In how many countries in the world is it normal to have security guards, armed teachers, parents scared their children won’t come home ?????? This is abnormal !!!!!
Here's my take away from all of this. Growing up we had fire and tornado drills. I didn't grow up scared of fires but tornados are very scary even now. Especially if you've ever lived through one they're very traumatizing. If we learn to run from storms or at least hide from them then every time there's s major storm as a kid you might think of hiding. So just imagine having to hide from a person who lives in an free to carry state. Or just a stranger on the street. You learn to fear people in general. What are they doing to this nation and why are we following rules that harm us and it families in the end?
Its not only military type gun control. It's also kids' mental and emotional health, parents needing mental health and better education on whats abusive, disrespectful, boundaries and respect for the individual, so the parents are not creating a problem child.
It's not a fact of life in England, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Scotland, Australia, Canada, Finland or many many other nations. It's the guns. I support owning guns but it needs to be regulated
Other nations have civilian firearm ownership without their children getting gunned down in their classrooms every month. This problem is unique to America. We could replicate the firearm regulations of any of these nations as a start. Germany, Australia, Japan, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland -- all of these nations have high rates of civilian firearm ownership without almost no gun violence. It's time for us to put the "Well regulated" back into the 2nd Amendment. We have forgotten about that part for WAY too long.
Scarlett Fever used to be a fact of life, but someone did something about it. Slavery used to be a fact of life in many parts of the US, but someone did something about it. The earth being flat used to be a fact of life, but someone did something about that. People are in a position to do something about gun violence, but more people are in the way of progress, and I think that they should be held to account for their role in the continuation of this "gun culture".
I feel sorry for today’s kids. Having to have clear backpacks or bulletproof backpacks is not right or normal. It’s been 25 years since The Columbine High School massacre and still no change. We can blame politicians & lobbyists, but the people voting them in are accountable too. Until it happens to us we turn a blind eye, the shortsightedness of humans.

One child's death is to much to get over . The Republican party thinks that it is more important for people to own guns than a child.
