Being an proud owner of VW Vento & Virtus. Only thing which Honda provides is peace of mind and none can. Which is a big deal breaker for anyone who wants to own a car.
Vento was one of its own car . It had fantastic stability and reliability too. But unfortunately Virtus has lot of issues . Dashboard rattling, erratic power windows , ac issue in 1.0 , pathetic rear camera. So in present scenario , Honda city is the most reliable option indeed.
@@neerajpiplani185 yes brother Rapid and Vento were far better than Slavia and Virtus. Many features removed as well which makes me more angry on VW and Skoda some times 🙏🏽
Totally agree, if you drive carefully, it does not scrap the bottom. Also if you compare with Slavia or Virtus, in reality they have a metal strip sticking out in the middle of the car at the bottom which makes the ground clearance similar to Honda City.
From my personal experience, City is one of the best cars i have driven. I have Honda City 5th Gen ZX CVT, no doubt manual is more fun to drive, the CVT is just too comfortable. The comfort that this car provides is unmatched.
My god! Well done on driving the City up those roads! I'd shit my pants in an Alto as well. A lot of people complain about ground clearance but instead of pushing our governments and local councils to fix these roads, we are collectively selecting a worse, inefficient solution - SUVs. SUVs are the least efficient body style for everything apart from offroading (even then a lifted wagon or hatchback with the appropriate mechanical bits can be considered better)! On one hand, the government is pushing the efficiency and emission norms, and on the other hand they fail to control the outburst of inefficient SUVs. If we improve roads, we automatically make things safer and more efficient. Bad roads also affect fuel economy as they interrupt the flow of traffic. Bad roads have made these SUVs flourish. Sedans, Wagons, Hatchbacks are much more efficient body styles. They require less materials to build and have far more economy than an equivalent SUV. Also SUVs are more unsafe than a sedan/wagon which has a lower center of gravity. It's more prone to a rollover compared to a sedan. ua-cam.com/video/BmFUyGMzM2k/v-deo.html This would never happen in a sedan/wagon.
Hi anshul, I always hit like button as soon as I start your video, great videos and great insights, one request can you please review honda amaze also once, as you have done honda city?
Honda Amaze lagegi kya? mere gaon k area k roads b kaafi kharab h..uski ground clearance to sai h lekin shyd suspension bht soft h jiski wajeh se wo scrap kr jaaye
My friend and I recently took a trip to a hill station. I drove my Vento TDI DSG, while he had a 4th gen Honda City petrol manual. Both cars were fully loaded with people and luggage. The Honda City struggled significantly on the steep routes. Its thin tires, lower torque, and body roll from the suspension made the climb difficult. At one point, the clutch nearly burnt out, and smoke started coming from the bonnet. The Honda City is great for plain roads, but it loses traction and struggles on performance-oriented terrains. In contrast, my Vento TDI DSG handled every route without hesitation. Similarly, the Virtus GT has well-balanced dynamics and ample power, which provide more confidence on any terrain. The Honda City, on the other hand, always feels numb and less secure, especially on challenging roads.
I have been to Mahabaleshwar in rainy season & booked my resort on a top hill sort of a place where the road was uphill to hotel which was a rough patch with red stones! Touchwood, it didn’t touch anywhere! We stayed there for 2 days & we used our own cars for sightseeing but I did t find it a struggle at all through out that trip! Honda city CVT to me is a gem & better than most of the SUVs out there! Earlier I had Creta 1.6 diesel! But m enjoying city more than that! Not coz I own it now 😂 but practically it’s far better car in terms of comfort & peace of mind!
I drove the city recently what impressed me was the braking sytem and its reverse camera but ground clearance comapred to Vw was not great so opted for Vw
I don't know if you have driven the 3rd gen Honda City (2008-2013) or not. It was a gem. I have driven both - 3rd and the current 5th one. Honestly, the 3rd gen is a more fun to drive than this one. On paper power you will see both as 120bhp but delivery is very different. 3rd gen accelerates like a charm and feels more sporty to drive. My personal opinion though. In fact, many people said the same on team bhp as well about their comparison. What you feel like ?
Yes brother it can be a fact because at that time car developers used to work on engines and its performance now all people want is mileage so maybe many things could have been changed later on. I totally agree with your point brother 🙏🏽❤️
Yes using City 5th generation Elegant Edition, Driving is smooth and comfortable. Milage 12-15 km/ltr in City Driving conditions and On Highway 18 to 20.5 km/ltr
Bro, leaving aside all such things like brand, reliability, after sale service and so on, if given a choice between slavia and city, the car itself, which one will you choose without any bias.?
Can it go in the hills like Sikkim (not north sikkim necessarily) or Darjeeling etc! ? I am really confused between Brezza, Grand vitara and This one. Will depend on offers though. I am only dubiolus about the approach angle. Ground clearance is low in many cars but the approach angle is another important issue.
Brother brezza, grand vitara are of a different segment and Honda city is of different segment. If you want more ground clearance then you should opt for Brezza/Grand vitara but if you want comfort and a classy feel then honda city. Because approach angle of Honda city is less.
Approach angle is definitely low in City so when you drive in remote areas regularly GV is a better option and Elevate is another one you can consider instead of City
